JoAnn Louise (Mayfield)
Richards, 81, of Hays, Kansas, passed away on April 13, 2025, at Via Christi
Village in Hays. She was born on October 2, 1943, to Melvin “Bud” and Leona
(Werth) Mayfield in Wichita, Kansas. JoAnn married Darrell Karlin on June 17,
1961, and together they were blessed with two sons: Kevin and Keith. They later
divorced.&nbsp; In December of 1981, JoAnn
married Roger Richards and later they divorced.&nbsp;


JoAnn grew up in Hays and
throughout her life worked as a waitress and later as a pilot car driver for
Schult Mobile Homes. She was a member of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA)
International and a member of St. Fidelis Basilica in Victoria.&nbsp; 

JoAnn had a zest for life and
loved spending time outdoors, especially at the lake, fishing and swimming. She
found joy in visiting casinos, playing BINGO and cards —especially Texas Hold
'Em. Her dogs were a special part of her life, and she cared deeply for them.&nbsp; Her laughter, quick wit, and love for family
will be dearly missed. 

JoAnn is survived by her sons,
Kevin (Robyn) Karlin of Victoria, KS and Keith (Jolene) Karlin of Salina, KS;
brother, Cliff (Fran) Mayfield of Hays, KS; six grandchildren: Dustin
(Danielle), Dillon, Dallas, Desirae, Krystal, Kassandra (Zach); and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by
her parents, Bud and Leona Mayfield; ex-husband, Roger Richards; brother, Gary
Mayfield; and sister Rebecca “Becky” Ganoung.

A Celebration of Life Service
will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:30 at St. Fidelis Basilica in
Victoria. Inurnment will be at the Plainville City Cemetery at 2:00 PM.

JoAnn Louise (Mayfield) Richards

Steven Dale 'Steve' Swartz, 68, Rush Center, Kansas, passed
away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.

Steve was born July
11, 1956, in La Crosse, Kansas, the son of Henry E. and Norma J. (Clark) Swartz
of Alexander, Kansas.&nbsp; He was a lifelong resident
of Rush County, Kansas.&nbsp; He attended
Alexander Grade School, Alexander, Kansas, and was a 1974 graduate of McCracken
High School, McCracken, Kansas.&nbsp; He
attended Dodge City Community College, Dodge City, Kansas, where he played
football.&nbsp; He farmed, raised cattle and
worked at the Larned State Hospital, Larned, Kansas, up until the time of his
recent illness which led to his death.

Steve will be
remembered for his love of hunting, his hunting dogs, and mules.&nbsp; He will also be remembered for his special
bond with Loretta’s grandson, Tyson.&nbsp;
Steve had a very tender heart for people.&nbsp; Many of his coworkers at Larned State
Hospital expressed this in Facebook posts.

Survivors
include:&nbsp; his sister, Patricia Johnson
(Michael), Marquette, Kansas; his companion, Loretta Swartz, Rush Center,
Kansas; Loretta’s daughter, Marla&nbsp;Heronema, Hays, Kansas; a large number of
nephews and nieces; great nephews and nieces; and great great nephews and
nieces; two brothers in law, Lyle Seltmann, Smyrna, Tennessee, and Ernest
Bailey, Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister in law, Louise Swartz, Alexander,
Kansas; and many friends.

He was preceded in
death by his parents, one brother, Edward “Ed’ Swartz; three sisters, Dianna
O’Brien, Cynthia Seltmann, and Susan Bailey; one brother in law, Stanley
O’Brien; one nephew, Todd Seltmann; and one niece, Deborah Seltmann.

Memorial service will
be Monday, April 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Janousek Funeral Home, La
Crosse, Kansas, with Lyle Seltmann officiating.&nbsp;
His final resting place will be in Alexander, Kansas, his childhood

Steven Dale 'Steve' Swartz

Carl Frederick 'Fred' Goff, 74, passed away
peacefully on April 11, 2025, in the comfort of his home in WaKeeney, Kansas,
surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on March 8, 1951, in Hays,
Kansas, to Lyle and Bonnie (Thomas) Goff.

Fred grew up in the tight-knit communities of Bogue,
Stockton, and Ness City, where his character was shaped by small-town values,
hard work, and deep family roots. A proud graduate of Ness City High School, he
was a standout athlete, earning local fame for his skills on the football field
and basketball court. One of his proudest memories was helping lead his team to
the state championship game — a moment he often recalled with a glint of pride
and a warm smile.

On August 19, 1972, Fred married the love of his life,
Charlotte Louise Grecian, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in WaKeeney. Their
52-year journey together was one of deep devotion, unwavering partnership, and
shared laughter. Together, they built a life rich in family, faith, and
friendship.

Fred spent most of his working life in the oil fields of
western Kansas—a career that saw him take on many roles, from roughneck to tool
pusher, tester, and driller. Known for his strong work ethic and calm demeanor
under pressure, he made countless lifelong friendships along the way. When he
wasn’t working, Fred could be found tending to his family’s land in Bogue,
which he affectionately referred to as “hobby farming.” Despite the modesty in
his words, he took great pride in the soil and seasons.

A Harley enthusiast, Fred found joy in the open road,
especially on rides shared with friends and grandsons. His greatest joy,
though, came from his family. He was a devoted grandfather who rarely missed a
game, recital, or school event. With patience and wisdom, he was a gentle
teacher and a constant presence in the lives of his grandchildren.

Fred is survived by his beloved wife, Charlotte Goff of
WaKeeney; children, Chane (Heidi) Goff of WaKeeney, Chandra Micek of Ransom,
and Carla Michelle (Gary) Wilson of WaKeeney; grandchildren, Michael (Leslie)
Goff, Blake Wilson, Allen (Olivia) Goff, Jayden (Dennis) Goff, William
(Madison) Wilson, Jory Micek, MaKaLa Wilson, Corbin Micek, Allie Micek, and
Xzavier Wilson; brother, Earl James (Jo) Goff; sister, Elaine O’Bleness;
sisters-in-law, Linda (Vic) Swatzell and Shirley Grecian; and many cherished
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Bonnie
Goff.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday,

Carl Frederick 'Fred' Goff

Reid Hale Rogers, 76,
passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Colby, KS surrounded by his loving
family. He was born on April 23, 1948, to Ranard and Margaret (Hale) Rogers in
Norton, KS. Reid was raised in Selden, KS and attended school there until his
senior year when he attended and graduated from Decatur County High School in
Oberlin. Reid obtained his associate’s degree from Colby Community College and
also attended Fort Hays State University.

Reid was united in
marriage to Jo Ann (Jody) Hedge on July 26, 1969, in Hoxie, KS and they lived
the majority of their married life in Rexford, KS where they raised their two
daughters, Penny and Amber.

Reid joined his dad
working at Rogers’ Repair Shop and they farmed in the Selden area for many
years. Later, he went to work for the Thomas County Sheriff’s Department as a
Detention Deputy.

Reid was an avid
outdoorsman and greatly enjoyed both hunting and fishing, including annual elk
hunting trips to Wyoming and fishing in Canada with family and friends. He
taught his grandsons how to hunt and fish and was very proud that they shared
his love for these hobbies.

Reid’s greatest love was
his family. He loved attending his children’s and grandchildren’s activities.
He and his wife, Jody, spent countless hours traveling to sporting events, and
various other activities in which the kids participated. In recent years he
enjoyed spending time with his six great grandchildren, three of whom were
named after him.

Reid was preceded in
death by his parents, his brother Rick, and several in-laws. He is survived by
his wife, Jody, of 55 years; two daughters, Penny (Matthew) Vogler of Colby,
KS, and Amber (David) McCauley of Great Bend, KS; grandchildren, Cole (Danielle)
Christensen, Taylor (Tyson) Espinosa, Jordan (Kyle) Zachgo, Kirstyn (Justin)
Pacheco, Halle Latham, Landen Vogler, and Alyssa McCauley; great grandchildren,
Miles and Cooper Espinosa, Briar and Haynes Zachgo, James Christensen, and
Carter Pacheco.; sister, Diana Fowler and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces and
nephews.

There will be no
visitation as cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at
11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Rexford Community Church, Rexford,

Reid Hale Rogers

Susanne (Desbien) Bell, known to her family and friends as
“Susie”, passed away April 8, 2025, at the age of 66. Susie was born in
Plainville, Kansas December 23, 1958, to Harvey and Doris (Overturf) Desbien.
As the baby of the family, she was welcomed into the family by her older
sister, Debbie. She attended Bogue schools and graduated from Hill City High
School in 1977.

As a child, Susie was known to be fearless, and a little
ornery. That orneriness stayed with her throughout her life. She loved being
outdoors, especially time spent in the mountains hiking, fishing and just being
one with nature. Her yard was filled with plants and flowers of every variety,
and she spent time growing a small garden each year that flourished with
vegetables that she then canned. Sports were important to her, and she excelled
in many. Even as an adult, she played softball in the summer, with the ladies
or co-ed teams. 

A boy named Gaylen Bell met Susie in 1971. He became the
love of her life. They were married at her parents’ home April 16, 1977. They
would have celebrated their 48th anniversary this year. Together the couple
raised two children, a daughter Amy and a son Benjamin “B.J.” Susie loved being
a mother, but she always said, “Being a Grandma was even better.” And she was
lucky enough to be blessed with five grandchildren that lived close to her.
Susie was extremely proud of her family.

Susie was a First Responder for the Bogue community when the
town had no ambulance. Later, she spent a number of years serving as an EMT for
Graham County. She was the Deputy of Register of Deeds for 20 years from 1994
to 2014, always greeting the public with a smiling face and ready to help. 

If you visited the Bell home, you would without a doubt know
which holiday was coming up. She decorated the house for every occasion.
Needless to say, her passion was crafting. She made crafts for herself, as
gifts, and to sell at many area craft fairs. However, her greatest love was her
family and friends.

She was preceded in death first by her sister Debbie Kaiser,
then by her father Harvey, both who she helped care for as they battled cancer;
and many years later, her mother Doris and her brother-in-law Bob Bell.&nbsp; She was always there for those who needed
her. 

Susie is survived by her husband Gaylen Bell of Bogue; her
daughter Amy Roeder and spouse Dani Roeder of Bogue; her son B.J. and spouse
Emily Bell of Bogue;&nbsp; grandchildren:
Tegan, Cloe, Gavin, Kya, and Hudson Bell; brothers-in-law: Richard Bell and
spouse Leslie and Ron Bell and spouse Brenda; sisters-in-law: Becky and spouse Charles
Hoss, Juanita Bell, and Andie Bell;&nbsp;&nbsp;
nieces:&nbsp; Darcy, Tina, Ginger,
Megan, Margo and Leah; nephews: Craig, Darin, Ryan, and Brady; and many great
nieces and&nbsp; great nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic
Church, Hill City, shortly before the Vigil Service, which is Sunday, April 13,
2025 at 6:30 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at
10:00 A.M. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hill City. Memorials are

outdoors, especially time spent in the mountains hiking, fishing and just being
one with nature. Her yard was filled with plants and flowers of every variety,
and she spent time growing a small garden each year that flourished with
vegetables that she then canned. Sports were important to her, and she excelled
in many. Even as an adult, she played softball in the summer, with the ladies
or co-ed teams. A boy named Gaylen Bell met Susie in 1971. He became the
love of her life. They were married at her parents’ home April 16, 1977. They
would have celebrated their 48th anniversary this year. Together the couple
raised two children, a daughter Amy and a son Benjamin “B.J.” Susie loved being
a mother, but she always said, “Being a Grandma was even better.” And she was
lucky enough to be blessed with five grandchildren that lived close to her.
Susie was extremely proud of her family.Susie was a First Responder for the Bogue community when the
town had no ambulance. Later, she spent a number of years serving as an EMT for
Graham County. She was the Deputy of Register of Deeds for 20 years from 1994
to 2014, always greeting the public with a smiling face and ready to help. If you visited the Bell home, you would without a doubt know
which holiday was coming up. She decorated the house for every occasion.
Needless to say, her passion was crafting. She made crafts for herself, as
gifts, and to sell at many area craft fairs. However, her greatest love was her
family and friends.She was preceded in death first by her sister Debbie Kaiser,
then by her father Harvey, both who she helped care for as they battled cancer;
and many years later, her mother Doris and her brother-in-law Bob Bell.&nbsp; She was always there for those who needed
her. Susie is survived by her husband Gaylen Bell of Bogue; her
daughter Amy Roeder and spouse Dani Roeder of Bogue; her son B.J. and spouse
Emily Bell of Bogue;&nbsp; grandchildren:
Tegan, Cloe, Gavin, Kya, and Hudson Bell; brothers-in-law: Richard Bell and
spouse Leslie and Ron Bell and spouse Brenda; sisters-in-law: Becky and spouse Charles
Hoss, Juanita Bell, and Andie Bell;&nbsp;&nbsp;
nieces:&nbsp; Darcy, Tina, Ginger,
Megan, Margo and Leah; nephews: Craig, Darin, Ryan, and Brady; and many great
nieces and&nbsp; great nephews. Visitation will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic
Church, Hill City, shortly before the Vigil Service, which is Sunday, April 13,
2025 at 6:30 P.M. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 14, 2025 at

Barry Alan Carter, 70, of Russell,
Kansas, died on Monday, April 07, 2025, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays,
Kansas.

Barry was born on February 11,
1955, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Ernest L. and Twila Mae (Vonfeldt)
Carter.&nbsp; He moved to Russell in 1960, at
age 5, when his father changed jobs.&nbsp; He
grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in the class of
1973.&nbsp; After high school, he graduated
with an associates degree from Barton Community College and his bachelor’s in
business degree from Ft. Hays State University. He was owner and operator of
Docks Boat and RV for over 40 years.&nbsp; He
is a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Russell.&nbsp; He was a 4th degree Knights of
Columbus member and a member of the Shriners and Elks of Russell.&nbsp; He enjoyed boating, hunting, fishing and
being an honorary uncle to Russell kids.&nbsp;
Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his
brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Surviving family include his
brothers Jim Carter (Janie) and Mark Carter (DeAnna) all of Russell, Kansas;
sisters Debbie Beck (Don) and Tamera Carter and aunt Shirley Bellinder all of
Topeka, Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew Joey Carter.

Darrell Francis Brungardt, aged 84, passed away in March 2025 at
his home in Honolulu Hawaii. Born on December 8, 1940, in Hays, KS, Darrell was
the epitome of hard work, dedication, and love.

As a veteran of the US Air Force, Darrell served his country with
honor and integrity. After his military service and as a graduate of Fort Hays
State University, Darrell embarked on a career as a skilled retail store
manager and executive for 4+ decades. He built and led organizations and brick
and mortar stores for some of the most successful retail firms throughout the
western United States and Hawaii. His work ethic, learned at an early age from
his family and work on local farms, was above and beyond. He took immense pride
in his ability to understand customer, company, and employee needs and was
revered by his peers and employees.

Beyond his work, Darrel was devoted to his family above all else.
He was very generous and supportive to his mother Ida Pfiefer, father Dan, his
twin brother Harry, sisters Jeanette and Bernette, nieces and nephews, and
countless extended family members. In addition, Darrell was a loving and
generous father to his children, Jeff and Heide, and was a proud grandfather to
4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Darrell’s legacy is one of integrity, devotion, and love. He lived
an unconventional and independent life, always looking for new challenges and
never really settled down until he retired. He loved his retirement in his
adopted state of Hawaii and it afforded him the exact, easy-going lifestyle he
wanted. That said, he really didn’t slow down. Darrell spent countless hours in
retirement exploring and documenting his family tree, delving into archives and
working with people as far away as Russia. He leaves the family an invaluable
legacy of documentation that will keep the history of the family alive for
generations to come.

Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Daniel and
his sister Bernette.

In addition to his children and grandchildren, Darrell is survived
by brother, Harry Brungardt, and sister, Jeanette Wellbrock.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 1:00
PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 215 West 13th Street Hays, Kansas 67601.
Interment will follow the mass in the parish cemetery.

Gilbert F. Brungardt, 84, Hays, died Friday, April 4, 2025
at HaysMed.

He was born October 27, 1940 in Hays, the son of Bonaventure
and Helen (Weber) Brungardt.&nbsp; In 1959, he
graduated from Ellis High School, and on May 12, 1962, he was united in
marriage to Lorraine Brungardt at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays.&nbsp; Throughout high school, Gilbert lettered in
football, basketball, and track.&nbsp; His
love for sports continued during his time as a referee and umpire for various
high school and junior college sports and long after when watching or attending
sporting events.&nbsp; Gilbert worked for
Allied Construction, was a bus driver for USD 489, and for over 20 years, he helped
Lorraine with her daycare.&nbsp; 

He was a devout Catholic, a member of Immaculate Heart of
Mary Catholic Church, the Ellis Third and Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus,
and was active in many parish activities including funeral dinners,
extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, ushering, and teaching RCIA classes
with Lorraine.&nbsp; Gilbert maintained a
beautiful lawn and enjoyed reading, going to movies, dog sitting his grand
dogs, and taking road trips which included driving all the way to and from
Virginia to visit family.&nbsp; Most of all,
he cherished gatherings with family and friends and was a loving husband,
father, and granddad.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Survivors include his wife Lorraine of Hays, his son Darren
Brungardt of Overland Park, two daughters, Tonya Orth and husband Marty of
Urbandale, Iowa and Audra Brungardt of Hays, his grandson Matthew Orth and
fiancé Theresa Li, one sister, Helen (Jeanie) Windholz and husband Francis of
Victoria, and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp;


He was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Rita Zavora
Brungardt, four brothers, Edwin, Elmer, Sonny, and Anthony Brungardt and four
sisters, Angie Kinderknecht, Anna Rita Weber, Clara Walters, and Esther Laws.

M. Mardelle Kenyon, 96, Bison, Kansas, passed away Sunday,
February 9, 2025, at Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.

Mardelle was born November
9, 1928, in Marshall, Colorado, the daughter of Fredrick Ernest and Lela Ida
(Epler) Callihan.&nbsp; She was a resident of Rush
County, Kansas, since 1966, moving there from Holcomb, Kansas.&nbsp; She was a homemaker and X-ray technician
before her retirement.

She was a member of the
United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and JOY Club, all of Bison,
Kansas.

On October 29, 1950,
she married Bruce Harlan Kenyon at Broadway Methodist Church, Denver, Colorado.&nbsp; He preceded her in death May 8, 1997.

Survivors
include:&nbsp; four sons, Alan Kenyon
(Ronnell), Larned, Kansas, Roger Kenyon (Linda), Otis, Kansas, Warren Kenyon
(Shirley), Lucas, Kansas, and Mark Kenyon (Jodi), Augusta, Kansas; 12
grandchildren, Alan Kenyon (Kanoco), Eric Kenyon (Bree), Sean Kenyon (Kara),

M. Mardelle Kenyon

James (Jim) Wellbrock passed away peacefully in Arvada, CO
on March 30, 2025 surrounded by family after bravely fighting a four year
battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and
Sally Wellbrock, brothers: Larry, Ronnie and Floyd; and sisters: Cora
Wellbrock, Jeanette Harris and Dianne Paciello. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette (Jan),
their children: Julie Taylor and John; grandchildren: Josh Taylor and Ashe
Taylor; and great granddaughters: Annabelle and McKenzie. He is also survived
by his brothers: Lee Wellbrock and partner Bonnie Dolata, Dennis Wellbrock and
wife Theresa; three sisters: Kathleen Cooper, Betty Woodruff and husband
Dennis, Brenda Gross and husband Gary; brothers-in-law: Art Harris and Harry
Brungardt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. 

Jim was born on January 21, 1945 in the small farming
community of Victoria, KS and attended schools there. He was one of 12
children, 6 boys and 6 girls. He was exactly in the middle in age, 11 years
younger than the oldest and 11 older than the youngest sibling. &nbsp;Growing up on a farm, Jim learned the value of
hard work. After he moved away, he often returned to help with wheat harvest. 

Jim married his sweetheart, Jan, on February 1, 1964. They
lived in Salina, KS for a few years before moving to the Denver area for job
opportunities and to join other family members who had moved to Colorado. Both
of their children were born in Colorado. Jim worked in supervisory positions in
trailer manufacturing almost all of his working life.&nbsp; He transferred to Wayne, NE in 1986, where he
and Jan met many new friends and enjoyed the nature surrounding them in that
area. They later moved back to Colorado and into their current home in Arvada,
CO.

Jim loved his family, the outdoors, music, gardening,
professional sports, photography, hunting and fishing.&nbsp; Jim was happiest surrounded by family and
friends. Jim and Jan’s home was the go-to place for family gatherings and large
Christmas Eve get-togethers. 

After he retired, Jim spent many hours working in the garage
playing music, mostly old country and polka music. The neighbors are sure to
miss the entertainment. Jim spent many hours in early retirement taking
beautiful photos of the picturesque Rocky Mountains. He had many of those
photos enlarged and framed and they are prominently displayed in their home.

Out of all of his hobbies, Jim loved fishing for walleye the
most.&nbsp; He spent many hours on the lake,
mostly at Glendo, WY where he was a serious and excellent fisherman. 

A man like Jim is one in a million and he will be greatly
missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 25, 2025 at Mount
Olivet Chapel and Cemetery at 12801 W 44th Ave., Wheat Ridge CO.
Services will begin at 9:00AM followed by graveside services. A lunch will be
served following the memorial at Denver Kickers Club at 16776 W. 50th
Ave., Golden, CO.

 </figure>James (Jim) Wellbrock passed away peacefully in Arvada, CO
on March 30, 2025 surrounded by family after bravely fighting a four year
battle with pancreatic cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents Ed and
Sally Wellbrock, brothers: Larry, Ronnie and Floyd; and sisters: Cora
Wellbrock, Jeanette Harris and Dianne Paciello. Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanette (Jan),
their children: Julie Taylor and John; grandchildren: Josh Taylor and Ashe
Taylor; and great granddaughters: Annabelle and McKenzie. He is also survived
by his brothers: Lee Wellbrock and partner Bonnie Dolata, Dennis Wellbrock and
wife Theresa; three sisters: Kathleen Cooper, Betty Woodruff and husband
Dennis, Brenda Gross and husband Gary; brothers-in-law: Art Harris and Harry
Brungardt; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Jim was born on January 21, 1945 in the small farming
community of Victoria, KS and attended schools there. He was one of 12
children, 6 boys and 6 girls. He was exactly in the middle in age, 11 years
younger than the oldest and 11 older than the youngest sibling. &nbsp;Growing up on a farm, Jim learned the value of
hard work. After he moved away, he often returned to help with wheat harvest. Jim married his sweetheart, Jan, on February 1, 1964. They
lived in Salina, KS for a few years before moving to the Denver area for job
opportunities and to join other family members who had moved to Colorado. Both
of their children were born in Colorado. Jim worked in supervisory positions in
trailer manufacturing almost all of his working life.&nbsp; He transferred to Wayne, NE in 1986, where he
and Jan met many new friends and enjoyed the nature surrounding them in that
area. They later moved back to Colorado and into their current home in Arvada,
CO.Jim loved his family, the outdoors, music, gardening,
professional sports, photography, hunting and fishing.&nbsp; Jim was happiest surrounded by family and
friends. Jim and Jan’s home was the go-to place for family gatherings and large
Christmas Eve get-togethers. After he retired, Jim spent many hours working in the garage
playing music, mostly old country and polka music. The neighbors are sure to
miss the entertainment. Jim spent many hours in early retirement taking
beautiful photos of the picturesque Rocky Mountains. He had many of those

John 'Johnny' Braun age 94, passed away April 5, 2025, at his home in Victoria,
Kansas.&nbsp; He was born August 1,1930, on the family farm west of Victoria,
the middle of nine children to Raymond P. and Agnes (Staab) Braun.&nbsp; On
November 20, 1954, he married Josephine (Josie) Riedel in Walker, KS.&nbsp;
They had seven children.

John was a carpenter, a builder, and a farmer.&nbsp; He worked for Levin Kuhn
House Moving, and Victoria Lumber Company for many years.&nbsp; He was a 1949
graduate of Victoria High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Army.&nbsp; He was
drafted into military service from 1951 to 1953 serving in the Korean
War.&nbsp; He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1953 serving as Grand Knight in
1992, became a 4th Degree Knight of Columbus in 1984 serving as
Faithful Navigator in 1990,&nbsp; was a lifetime VFW member, and serving on the
color guard for military funeral services.&nbsp; He was Post Commander from
2003-2005 and again from 2007-2009. John was a member of the Basilica of St
Fidelis and lead many a rosary in church and at wake services.&nbsp; He also
served on the USD 432 School Board and St. Fidelis Parish Council.

John is survived by his wife, Josie, of the home; his children, James Braun and

honors by the Victoria V.F.W. Post 1751.&nbsp;

John 'Johnny' Braun

Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Beth Monroe, 87, passed away February 13, 2025, at Ascension Via
Christi St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. She was born March 12, 1937, in Otis,
Kan., to Jacob and Bonita (Brack) Brack. Jackie married Don Eulert and they
later divorced.&nbsp; On April 14, 1976, Jackie
married Orville Monroe in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on
August 3, 2022. 

Jackie
spent her career in the Colby and Albuquerque school districts as a grade schoolteacher.
After her marriage to Orville she moved to Great Bend, Kan. She was a cat lover
who raised and spoiled many cats over the years. Jackie was an avid reader and
loved to keep her mind sharp with crossword puzzles. When able, she grew and
tended to a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers. She loved shopping – whether
it was a day trip out of town or ordering over the phone from QVC. Above all
else, Jackie loved spending time with her friends and family. 

Survivors
include her children, Melissa (Eulert) Dickson and husband Tim of Ellinwood, Colby
Eulert of San Diego, Calif., Bret Eulert and wife Connie of Great Bend, Jenny
(Monroe) Hejny and husband Daniel of McCamey, Tex., Eileen (Monroe) Wilkinson
and husband Bobby of Denison, Tex., and her two furry children Harley and
Phoebe; 8 grandchildren, Rachael Dickson, Jeremy Hejny (Shannon), J.D. Hejny
(Whitney), Jessica Brooks (Ron), Christen Cory, Amanda Robbins (Rocky), Josh
Cory, and Tony Hammond; 16 great grandchildren; and 3 great great
grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother,
Larry Brack.

Jacquelyn 'Jackie' Beth Monroe

Richard
Amos Morgan, age 73, of Ellis, Kansas, passed away on March 23, 2025, leaving
behind a lifetime of laughter, adventure, and cherished memories. Born on
August 24, 1951, in San Diego, California, to Richard and Loretta Morgan,
Richard lived a life filled with passion, humor, and love.


A proud graduate of Norton High School’s Class of 1969, Richard later pursued
his degree in Computer Information Systems at NCK. His sharp mind and
dedication led him through a fulfilling career, most notably at Murfin Drilling
and later Midwest Energy, where he worked as a System Controller before
retiring after 26 years of service.

Richard’s zest for life was infectious. He was a man who spoke his mind with
refreshing honesty, always ready with a quick-witted joke and a mischievous
grin. He found joy in the open road, riding his Harley Davidson with the wind
at his back, and in the quiet moments spent fishing or scouting the perfect
hunting spot. More than anything, he treasured time with family and friends,
filling every gathering with laughter and stories.

Richard was an active member of several organizations that reflected his
passions. He was a member of HOG (Harley Owners Group), and a member of ABATE,
working to secure safety for all motorcyclists on Kansas' roads. His love for
the outdoors was evident in his dedication as a Life Member of the North
American Hunting Club.

Beyond his love for the road and the outdoors, Richard had a deep care for
children in need, demonstrated by his years of involvement with Toys for Tots.
He proudly collected patches from different years of participation, a testament
to his commitment to ensuring kids who had little would have something to smile
about during the holidays. He also anonymously donated to children’s school
lunch funds in Ellis, ensuring that those in need could have access to a warm
meal. His generous spirit and selflessness will be remembered by all who knew
him.


He leaves behind a family who adored him and will forever carry his spirit in
their hearts. Richard is survived by his sons, David and Scott Morgan, both of
Ellis; his daughters, Angela Trapp (Charley) of Manhattan, Amy Huxman (Jeremy)
of Hays, and Sase Fleenor (Michael) of Hays; and his sister, Renee Morgan of
Hays. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Morgan Trapp, Lindy
Callahan, Emma Leuthold, Zipora Morgan, Akira Morgan, Leah Dreher, Noah Huxman,
Lyndon Huxman, Jaxon Fleenor, Roqua Fleenor, Caden Huff, Carson Jones, Holden
Lyman, and Bryson Lyman, as well as his 14 great-grandchildren. Richard also
found love and companionship with his life partner, Donna Huff of Ellis, and
embraced her children, Heather Lang, Julie Huff, and Raina Huff, as part of his
extended family.


He now joins those who went before him, including his parents, Richard and
Loretta Morgan, his brother, Robert Morgan; his sister, Rhonda Brown; and his
beloved grandson, Clinton Alexander.


Family and friends are invited to share memories during a family visitation
from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Keithley Funeral Chapel,
400 E. 17th Street, Ellis, KS 67637. Richard’s life will be honored and
celebrated with a memorial service at 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 12, 2025, also
at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis.


In honor of Richard’s love for the open road, fellow motorcycle riders are
encouraged to ride their bikes to the service as a tribute to his adventurous
spirit.

Richard Amos Morgan

Father William J. Surmeier was born in Hays, Kansas on
January 7, 1940, the second son of Anton and Gertrude (Fellhoelter) Surmeier
and passed away on April 3, 2025. 

He attended St. Paul’s Catholic School in Angelus, Kansas,
Thomas County Grade School in Oakley, and St. Francis High School Seminary in
Victoria. He attended college and theology at Conception Seminary, Conception,
Missouri, and was ordained a priest for the Salina Diocese on May 27, 1965 in
his home parish in Oakley.&nbsp; Fr. Bill took
a year-long sabbatical and earned a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling at
Loyola University, Columbia, Maryland. He earned his Doctorate in Psychology
from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana.

He served as an associate pastor in the Sacred Heart
Cathedral Parish, Salina, from ‘65-‘67, St. Xavier’s Parish, Junction City,
‘67-‘69, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Hays, ‘69-‘72, Sacred Heart and St. Michael
Parishes in Greenleaf/Kimeo ’71, and Team Ministry ‘72-‘82 at Selden, Oberlin,
Logan, Leoville, New Almelo and Densmore. He was pastor of St. Mary Queen of
the Universe Parish, Salina, ‘82-91, St. Nicholas of Myra, Hays, ‘93-2005,
Sacred Heart and St. Thomas, Plainville and Stockton. 2005-‘08, and St. Mary Parish,
Gorham, 2008-‘14.&nbsp;

Fr. Bill served as Priest Council president for many terms
during the 1970s and ‘80s under Bishops Cyril Vogel, Daniel Kucera, and George
Fitzsimons. Fr. Bill was known for his dedication to the youth of our diocese.&nbsp; He was CYO Director from 1969 to 1984 under
Bishop Vogel, developing a strong youth ministry and the first Youth Council
for our diocese.

One of Fr. Bill’s passions was empowering Lay Ministry in
our diocese, and with the aid of the Parish Pastoral Council at St. Nick's, he
was the first to hire a Pastoral Administrator, Arvilla Jueneman, for St.
Nicholas of Myra Parish.&nbsp;

His vocation also led him to full-time counseling for
Catholic Charities in Hays from 1993 to 2014 until he retired.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Gertrude,
two sisters, Clara Zimmerman and Theresa Surmeier, and one brother, Alvin
Surmeier.

He is survived by two brothers, Tony Surmeier of Colby and
Henry Surmeier of Springfield Oregon, and many nieces, nephews, friends, and
brother priests.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday,
April 9, 2025 at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church with Bishop Gerald Vincke
officiating.&nbsp; Burial will be at 3:00 pm
in St. Joseph Cemetery in Oakley.&nbsp;
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Tuesday at the

Father William J. Surmeier 

Arlen
Robert Walters (89) of Las Vegas, NV, died suddenly on March 19, 2025, at his
home. Born October 28, 1935, in Hays, KS, to Cyril and Catherine Billinger
Walters, Arlen grew up amid the close families of both his parents. An only
child for his first 10+ years, he was gifted with a bicycle when his sister was
born, and then four years later he welcomed his baby brother.

Arlen was educated in the Catholic schools of Hays,
including St. Joseph Military Academy for high school. He was a proud member of
the Class of 1953, maintaining connections with his male classmates through the
years and including his female classmates from Girls Catholic High School. He
was instrumental in organizing class gatherings for homecomings through his
70th reunion in 2023. His efforts in promoting the school, now Thomas More
Prep/Marian High School, resulted in his receiving the Points of Light award
from the school.

Arlen graduated from Fort Hays State College (now
University) with a business degree. He served two years in the United States
Army at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He played baseball, center field, for the Hays
Larks for many years and was recognized in 2021 as the oldest surviving Larks
player. He was also drafted by the Kansas City Athletics and played one summer
for their Houston farm club. His baseball hero was Ted Williams.&nbsp;

Through high school and college Arlen worked at the Hays
Daily News in various capacities, including news reporting, sports reporting,
and photography. His favorite assignment was photographing the bison herd at
the Hays City Park under the direction of newspaper publisher, Mrs. Leota Motz,
who encouraged him to get up close for the shot. This assignment made for a
good story for the rest of his life.

After his military service, Arlen began working as a
salesman for Carpenter Paper Company in the northwest quadrant of Kansas. He
married Muriel Louise Campbell, literally the girl next door, in 1964. They
welcomed their son, Craig, in 1965. The family moved to Lawrence, KS, where he
continued to work for Carpenter which eventually became Nationwide Paper and
from which he retired after 40 years with the company.&nbsp;

The family’s proximity to the University of Kansas in
Lawrence was a priority as they were avid Jayhawk fans with season tickets to
football and basketball games. Their loyalty continued through the years even
as Arlen and Muriel followed their family to Las Vegas in 2004. They were
thrilled to be able to watch their granddaughters blossom through childhood and
into successful adults. Both granddaughters got married in 2024.

In his retirement years Arlen and Muriel experienced
adventures in U.S. and world travel. Their lifetime travels included all 50
states and 47 foreign countries. In addition, Arlen undertook the updates of
the Billinger family genealogy, a monumental endeavor resulting in displaying
information on new generations. He also kept his cousins up to date on events
in the family through emails for which they were grateful.

He is survived by his son, Craig and his wife, Deneen, of
Las Vegas; his beloved granddaughters and their husbands, Megan and Brian
Schmeer of Sandy, UT, and Abby and Leo Roese, of Denver, CO; his sister,
Kathleen Ochs, and her husband, Darrel, of Gypsum, CO; niece, Allison, her
husband, Dan Kent, and their son, Wyatt (who loved his great uncle) of Eagle,
CO; his sister-in-law, Diana Walters of Munds Park, AZ; his sister-in-law,
Patricia Campbell Byram, and her three sons, Steve Brock, David Brock, and Dan Byram
and his wife Amy, of Springfield, MO. He was especially close to his godson,
Dan Byram and his son, Alex, also Arlen’s godson; one aunt, and numerous
cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Muriel, his parents,
Cyril (Slim) and Catherine (Katie) Walters, his brother David; all but one of
his many aunts and uncles; several cousins; and many friends.

He was cremated and his cremains will be buried with
Muriel’s in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Hays, KS. The family suggests donations to
TMP/Marian High School, 1701 Hall Street, Hays, KS 67601.

LaVon McGinnis, 87, Hays, died Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Via
Christi Village.

She was born July 27, 1937 in Hays, the daughter of Paul and
Catherine (Schlyer) Schumacher.&nbsp; In 1955,
LaVon graduated from Girls Catholic High School, and on September 1, 1958, she
was united in marriage to Donald E. “Don” McGinnis in Hays.&nbsp; Don and LaVon loved dancing together at
weddings and celebrated 55 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on
April 8, 2014.&nbsp; She worked at Baxter
Travenol, Hays International Mailing, Schumacher Shoe Store, and was a bus
monitor for the USD 489 Head Start program.&nbsp;
LaVon was a woman of deep faith and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary
Catholic Church where she was a minister of Holy Communion at mass and to the
homebound, and with Don, taught CCD classes.&nbsp;


LaVon enjoyed sewing, embroidery, crocheting, tending to her
flower and vegetable gardens, canning produce, and crafting her own beef jerky
recipe.&nbsp; Most of all, she was a loving
homemaker and a great cook, making delicious meals with tasty desserts for her
family.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;

Survivors include her three sons, Chuck McGinnis of Hays,
Mike McGinnis and wife Carol of San Marcos, California, and Tony McGinnis of
Wichita, four daughters, Pat Hammerschmidt of Hays, Myrna McGinnis and partner Loretta
Fletcher of Wichita, Kathy McGinnis &nbsp;and
partner J.J. Legleiter of Hays, and Barb Herrman and husband Troy of
Hutchinson, seven grandchildren, Allie Nicholson and husband Andrew, Kirstin
Benedict, Blake McGinnis, Ryan Hammerschmidt, Brandon Herrman, Shayde McGinnis,
and Tobyn McGinnis, and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law Bob
Hammerschmidt, and one sister.

LaVon McGinnis

Crystal Ann “Chris” Trauer age 86 of Hays, Kansas died March
31, 2025. &nbsp;She was born August 7, 1938, in Pueblo, Colorado to Lyle and
Evelyn (Weight) Scott.

She married Robert Dennis in Pueblo, CO and had three children, Lauree, Steve,
and Mike.&nbsp; She grew up in Pueblo, CO and was a 1956 graduate of Central
High School.&nbsp; While living in Colorado Chris worked at Woolworths in
Denver and in 1972, they moved to Ellis, KS as her husband worked on the
railroad. She and Robert later separated.&nbsp;&nbsp; 

While living in Ellis she met Duane Trauer when she worked at the 11th Frame
Club, and&nbsp;they later
married on March 26, 1977, in Palco, KS.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on
January 20, 2011.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

She and Duane started Trauer Insurance Agency in the basement of their house in
1977, and later moved the business to Northridge Plaza, and happily serving
numerous customers throughout Western KS in the crop/hail insurance industry.&nbsp;
They sold the agency in 2001, and Duane continued to work until 2011, and Chris
worked there until 2012.&nbsp; She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church, and a Life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post # 9076 both of
Hays.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 

&nbsp;Chris had a passion for bowling and attended several state bowling
tournaments, loved gardening, traveling to Alaska to see her kids and
grandkids, and traveling with friends on cruises, trips to Hawaii, and other
places in the US, and spending time with her grand dog “Emmy”,

Crystal is survived by her children, Lauree Honas and husband, Jim, Ellis, KS;
Mike Dennis and wife, Jane, Big Lake, AK; Terri Cox, Pearisburg, VA; Tammi
Strutt and husband, Darvin, Colby, KS; her daughter-in-law, Audra Dennis, Hawaii;
her grandchildren, Eric Wedermyer; Amanda Wedermyer; Ryan Gross; Sarah Cummings
(Justin); Daniella Peterson (Kevin); Ryan Honas; Jessica Alocoer (Jose); Brain
Trauer; Tyler Trauer (Kayla); Dana Cox (Laura); Kirstie Wojtech (John); Trevor
Strutt (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Madison and Hailey Wedermyer; JuJaun
Lucas, and Lyric Gross; Caden, Brynlee, and Layton Peterson; Haven Wojtech;
Harper and Holton Trauer; Benson and Kami Trauer; and Shaylee Benoit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Evelyn Scott; her husband
Duane Trauer; her sons, Steve Dennis; Mark Trauer; and Gregg Trauer.

Chris will be missed dearly by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to
know her.

Though she
is no longer with us, the memories of her energetic spirit will live on in the
hearts of all the lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2025, at
Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays with Chaplain, Chad Pritchett

They sold the agency in 2001, and Duane continued to work until 2011, and Chris
worked there until 2012.&nbsp; She was a member of the First United Methodist
Church, and a Life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post # 9076 both of
Hays.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Chris had a passion for bowling and attended several state bowling
tournaments, loved gardening, traveling to Alaska to see her kids and
grandkids, and traveling with friends on cruises, trips to Hawaii, and other
places in the US, and spending time with her grand dog “Emmy”,Crystal is survived by her children, Lauree Honas and husband, Jim, Ellis, KS;
Mike Dennis and wife, Jane, Big Lake, AK; Terri Cox, Pearisburg, VA; Tammi
Strutt and husband, Darvin, Colby, KS; her daughter-in-law, Audra Dennis, Hawaii;
her grandchildren, Eric Wedermyer; Amanda Wedermyer; Ryan Gross; Sarah Cummings
(Justin); Daniella Peterson (Kevin); Ryan Honas; Jessica Alocoer (Jose); Brain
Trauer; Tyler Trauer (Kayla); Dana Cox (Laura); Kirstie Wojtech (John); Trevor
Strutt (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Madison and Hailey Wedermyer; JuJaun
Lucas, and Lyric Gross; Caden, Brynlee, and Layton Peterson; Haven Wojtech;

Crystal Ann 'Chris' Trauer

Veronica
Louise Kauk, 79, passed peacefully March 30, 2025, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Veronica was
born in the small Nebraska town of Columbus on May 4, 1945 to Harold Bausch and
Lillian (Fendrich) Bausch. Veronica (Ronnie) grew up with her four siblings,
Janice, Phillip, Christina and Deanna in Leigh, Nebraska. Harold was a square
dance caller, so Ronnie and her siblings grew up traveling and dancing. Ronnie
attended Leigh High School in Leigh, Nebraska, where she sang in the Madrigal
Choir. 

Ronnie
attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and was voted as Sweetheart for
the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. She had a blind date with Doyle Kauk set up by
a girlfriend of one of the Fraternity members. Doyle and Ronnie would share
different impressions about that first date which was on Friday the 13th of
March, 1963. However, many dates and conversations later they became pinned in
the fall of 1964 and married on June 24th, 1966, in Leigh, Nebraska
at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. 

Doyle and
Ronnie moved to California in 1966 where Doyle taught at Pomona State
Polytechnic College in the Los Angeles area and Ronnie worked in a typing pool.
Zachary was born at the Kaiser Foundation hospital in Fontana on April 6th, 1967,
and Liza followed on April 4th, 1968. The family returned to the Midwest in
1968 where Kim was born on July 20th, 1969, in Lexington, Nebraska,
and shortly thereafter the family relocated to Hoxie, Kansas where Doyle would
manage the Hoxie Feedlot. 

After
Doyle’s passing in December of 2021, Ronnie felt pulled to return to her
college stomping grounds of Lincoln, Nebraska and she closed the Hoxie chapter
of 55 years and moved back to Cornhusker territory. As anyone who knew Ronnie
knows, she jumped right into many organizations and activities and quickly made
many new friends.

Ronnie’s
life was full as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She also
kept busy with many jobs ranging from helping at the feedlot, commodities
broker, bookkeeping for the local Co-op and dental office, to working in the
Sheridan County Treasurer’s office. She committed fully and with passion in all
of her ventures including choir, local theatre, dancing, and volunteering as a
CASA for the court system and the Sheridan County Hospital board. Her love of
oriental pottery, wooden toys, buttons, and all things antique was obvious upon
entering her home. Her many collections were beautiful and expansive. There
probably isn’t an antique shop between the East and West coast that Ronnie
hasn’t visited.

Ronnie is
survived by her three children, Zachary (Katherine), Liza Blanc, and Kimberly
(Pat) Brown. Grandchildren Cole, Jacob, and Karly Kauk; Kali Riley (Trenton),
Jordan (Jessica), Cassandra (Nikita), Alisha, and Angelina Blanc;&nbsp; Samantha (Austin), Bethany, and Carter Brown.
Great-Grandchildren Ember,&nbsp; Stella, and
Cyrus Blanc; Meredith and Lillian Riley. Siblings Janice Recek (Curtis),
Phillip Bausch (Jeannette), and Deanna Bausch.

Ronnie is
preceded in death by her parents Harold and Lillian, spouse Doyle, and
grand-daughter Geena.

Visitation
is Sunday April 6th at Mickey Leopold Funeral Home in Hoxie, Kansas at 2:00-7:00
pm, Family will be available during visitation 5:30-7:00 pm. Funeral
services will be at 10:30 am on Monday, April 7th, 2025, at St. Francis Cabrina
Catholic Church in Hoxie, Kansas with graveside services to follow.

In lieu of
flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Doyle Kauk Memorial

Veronica Louise Kauk

Mary Frances (Gnad) Ramey, 70, formerly of Hays, died
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Homestead of Wichita. 

She was born March 23, 1955 in Ellis, Kansas, the
daughter of John and Katherine (Honas) Gnad.&nbsp;
Mary graduated from Ellis High School, and she graduated Fort Hays State
University where she earned two Master’s Degrees in Communications and
Counseling.

In her early 20s, she moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma
where she met her husband Alvin Ramey. There they had a son, Scott, and six
years later, a daughter Jennifer.&nbsp; Soon
after, wanting to raise them in a small town, she and Alvin moved back to her
roots of Ellis. Years later, they moved to Hays for work, and for over ten
years, Mary worked at LINK Inc.&nbsp; Her
final career; however, was at Hays Area Agency on Aging where she enjoyed
helping the senior community with their Medicare options.

She will be remembered for being a very hard working,
smart and compassionate woman, a loving and understanding mother, and a
reliable, fun sister, who was always laughing and singing. She was an avid
garage seller, antique collector, and bingo attendee.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer, and seven
siblings, Michael (Laytha) Gnad of Hays, Shirley (Jim) Dinkel of Victoria,
David (Carolyn) Gnad of Kansas City, Martie (Ray) Nunemaker of Minneapolis,
Patrick (Cheryl) Gnad of Maize, Kathie (Mark) Moravek, of Assaria, and John
(Pam) Gnad of Ellis.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin, her
son Scott, her parents John and Katherine, and three siblings, Donna, Grace and
Marvin.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, April
7, 2025 at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Pastor Brenda Rodger
officiating.&nbsp; Inurnment will follow in
the Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in WaKeeney.&nbsp;
The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until service time at the
