Leola
Finnesy passed away in Hays on Thursday, August 19, 2026 at the age of
91.&nbsp; 

She&nbsp;was
born on January 10, 1935, to Francis and Lilly Finnesy of Natoma, Kansas.&nbsp;
Leola loved hiking and traveling.&nbsp; She lived
in Colorado for over 50 years before moving back to Hays.

She was
preceded in death by her parents, her sister Francis Whitting, grandson John
Paul Jones, and her sister-in-law Maryann Finnesy.

Survivors
include her son Timothy (Jackie) Jones of Hays, granddaughter Niki (Tony) Smith
of Hays,&nbsp;great grandchildren&nbsp;Cooper and Georgia Jones of Victoria,
Emma and Julie Smith of Hays, and her brother Jim Finnesy of Lafayette,
Colorado.

Burial will
be held at a later date for immediate family in the Plainville Cemetery.&nbsp; Condolences and memories of Leola may be
