FHSU Athletics TOPEKA, Kan. - The 20th-ranked Fort Hays State baseball team rallied once again to defeat the Washburn Ichabods on Tuesday (April 15), erasing a 6-1 deficit to win 10-8 in extra innings. With the win the Tigers (27-10, 21-5 MIAA) completed the season sweep of the Ichabods (21-21, 14-15 MIAA) for the first time since 2008.

Washburn struck first with four runs on six hits in the bottom of the first. After the first six Tiger batters were retired, Cesar Saavedra opened the third with a single. A pair of free passes loaded the bases for Isaiah Ural, who lifted a sacrifice fly to right to drive in FHSU's first run of the game.

The Ichabods responded with single runs in the third and fourth innings, padding their lead to five, 6-1. Two walks and a wild pitch allowed the Tigers to plate two more runs on a pair of sacrifice flies in the top of the sixth, first from Derek Woolwine and later from Brady Kreutzer. Luis Ayala then made it a one run game in the top of the seventh with his second home run of the season, a two-run drive to left.

The home team punched back with a run on two hits and two free passes in the bottom of the seventh, but reliever Brandon Chavez kept the score at 7-5 thanks to an inning-ending double play.

Fort Hays State completed the comeback in the top of the eighth when Trey DeGarmo reached on a lead-off error. A walk and a Kreutzer bunt single loaded the bases before DeGarmo scored on a wild pitch, helping FHSU close within 7-6. Saavedra then plated the tying run on an RBI groundout before Cooper Howell gave the Tigers their first lead of the day with a hard-hit double to left.

Washburn managed to tie things up in the bottom of the eighth with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly, but Chavez was again able to get out of the jam with a 6-4-3 double play.

Tony Moore led off the ninth with a double but was stranded in scoring position before Chavez retired the side in order in the bottom of the ninth to send things to extra innings.

Elliott Herrmann worked a one-out walk to get a rally started in the 10th before Howell singled up the middle. Ayala then sent a cue ball off the end of the bat towards second, loading the bases on an infield single and turning the lineup over.

Moore worked a full count before lining one back up the middle and off the pitcher's foot. The ball caromed towards the shortstop, who made a desperation throw to first that was far too late. With the runners going on the pitch and expecting a Hail Mary throw from the infielder, Howell was able to score from second on the infield single to give the Tigers a 10-8 lead.

Chavez allowed a two-out single to bring the tying run to the plate in the bottom of the inning, but the lefty brought the game to a close with a lazy fly ball to center. The sophomore earned the win, improving to 6-0 on the year, after tossing 4.0 innings of relief. He allowed six hits and one run while striking out two batters.

Cade Flaherty got the start, giving up five runs on seven hits and three walks in 3.0 innings of work. Mike Acierno tossed the next three innings, scattering two runs and four hits across those frames.

Fort Hays State was outhit in the game, 17-9, however the Tigers left just seven runners on base across the 10 innings compared to 12 left on from the Ichabods.

Moore, Kreutzer, Howell and Ayala all had two hits each in the ballgame, with Moore and Ayala each driving in a pair and DeGarmo and Saavedra both scoring twice.

The Tigers will next travel to Wichita, Kan. beginning Thursday (April 17) for a three-game series against Newman. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m.

⚾No. 20 Tigers Again Rally Past Ichabods

MJ Melendez homered and Bobby Witt Jr. hit an RBI double off the right-center fence in the third for the Royals, who lost for the fourth time in five games and fell to 2-6 on the road. They have dropped 19 of their past 20 completed series against the Yankees since May 2015, including the playoffs.

Luke Weaver retired Maikel Garcia with two runners on to end the seventh and set down all four batters he faced. Devin Williams worked a perfect ninth for his third save.

Michael Wacha (0-3) was working on a four-hit shutout when he walked Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Anthony Volpe to load the bases in the sixth. Angel Zerpa entered and, struggling to hear his PitchCom device, walked Austin Wells on four pitches to force in a run.

Great Bend, KS - Hays High (6-2, 5-1) split with Great Bend (9-2, 4-2) on Tuesday to take the season series over the state ranked Panthers two games to one.

Game 1 - Hays High 4, Great Bend 2

Carter Graham hit a three run homerun on the top of the seventh inning to lift Hays High to a 4-2 lead over Great Bend in the first game of the doubleheader.

Each team tallied a single run in the fourth inning. Graham led off with a single and moved to second in a single by Trace Jacobs. Jalen Smith loaded the bases with a third single in the inning. Graham gave Hays a 1-0 lead on a passed ball.

Great Bend got the run back with a walk, double, and ground out. The Panthers then took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run scoring double. Tiger Johnson got out of a bases loaded jam to limit the damage.

Johnny Cano was hit by a pitch with two outs in the top of the seventh. Johnson followed that up with a single before Graham's heroics gave the Indians a 4-2 lead.

Graham then took over with a runner aboard in the seventh to earn the save with a double play and fly out. Johnson (2-0) took the victory allowing two runs on four hits over six innings. He walked four and struck out one.&nbsp;

The second game started well for Hays High but they couldn't continue the momentum from game one. Jonny Cano and Landon Hardman scored in the top of the first inning. Great Bend countered with three in the home half of the same inning and three more in the second for a 6-2 lead.

The Panthers added four in the bottom of the sixth for a 10-2 score. Hays added their only other run in the top of the seventh.&nbsp;

Hays had five hits in the second game. Graham (1-1) took the loss. He allowed six runs, five earned, on seven hits with one walk and two strikeouts in just an inning and two thirds. Brett Rhoades pitched the remainder of the game giving up four runs on one hit. He struck out six and walked two.

⚾ Hays splits with Great Bend; takes season series

Hays, KS - Hays High (8-1, 4-1) split their Western Athletic Conference doubleheader with Garden City (5-1, 1-1) on Tuesday. The two will finish their season series in Garden City on May 13th with a single game.

Game 1 - Garden City 6, Hays High 5

Three errors over the first two innings by Hays High helped Garden City produce a 5-0 lead. The Buffaloes sent fourteen to the plate through the second inning.&nbsp;

Hays scratched a run across in the bottom of the third inning when Brynlee Rupp doubled and later scored on a passed ball for a 5-1 score. The Indians gave themselves a chance to win in the later innings.

Lauren Klein and Riley Dreher led the bottom of the fifth inning off with a pair of singles. Brynlee Brous drove in Klein on a ground out and Lanie Becker brought home Dreher with a single and a 5-3 score. Avery Solida then lifted a 3-2 pitch to centerfield for a game tying home run.

Garden City broke the tie with the first two batters of the seventh inning on a double and single for the final of 6-5.

Lanie Becker (2-1) took the loss in a relief role in game one. She pitched an inning and a third allowing one run on three hits. Riley Dreher pitched the first five innings and then the final two-thirds giving up five runs on six hits.

Game 2 - Hays High 13, Garden City 6

Hays High scored in five of six innings on their way to a split on the day.

Jaylee Summers (2-0) opened the game by retiring the side in the top of the first. The first five Indians that went to the plate in the bottom of the first reached and scored for a 5-0 advantage. Like Hays in the first game, Garden City errors played a role in the proceedings. Two of the five errors by the Buffaloes occurred in the five run first.

Garden City plated a run in the top of the second. That was answered by Alyse Zimmerman scored one of her three runs in the game on a Brynlee Brous single in the bottom of the second.

The Buffaloes did make the game close with a three run top of the third for a 6-4 game. Hays got the runs back in the bottom of the fourth. Lauren Klein drove in Summers and Zimmerman. Dreher scored her second of three runs on a Lanie Becker single and a 9-4 lead.

Shea Augustine singled and scored in the bottom of the fifth. She scored on a Summers single. The Indians then added three more runs in the sixth. The final runs came on a two run double by Brynlee Rupp.

Garden City did manage two runs in the top of the seventh before Hays closed the game with a 13-6 victory.

Jaylee Summers had pitched seven and third innings in three prior appearances total. She went seven full innings for the victory, allowing nine hits, striking out four and walking three.

🥎 Hays High splits with Garden City

KEARNEY, Neb. - The Fort Hays State women's golf team finished 12th at the MIAA Championships held Sunday through Tuesday (April 13-15) at Meadowlark Hills Golf Course. The course played as a par-71 and spanned 5,908 yards.

The Tigers opened the event with a 341 in round one, then had back to back 353 rounds. The team finished 195-over par.

Shayla Nordlund led Fort Hays State with rounds of 77, 84 and 82, tying for 31st at 30-over par. Nordlund was tied for seventh after round one, finishing 6-over par and with two of her three birdies in the round.

Hayden York followed, tying for 57th with rounds of 83, 84 and 93 for a 260 (+47). Abbie Norris finished in 66th after scores of 92, 97 and 85 (+61). Kiley Maier shot 91, 88 and 97 to finish 67th at 276 (+63). Emma Walz placed 68th with a total of 280 in rounds of 90, 97 and 93 (+67)

The Tigers managed ten birdies and 87 pars as a team across the three rounds. Norris had three birdies, with Maier finishing with a pair. York and Walz each had one birdie.

No. 21 Central Missouri claimed the tournament title with team total of 916 (+64), winning by 22 shots. Sam Maceli from Northeastern State earned medalist honors at 16-over par, carding rounds of 77, 76 and 76.

The team will now wait for the regional selection announcement, set for Monday (April 28). If any Tigers are selected to compete in the NCAA Central Region Championships, the tournament will take place Monday through Wednesday(May 5-May 7) at KickingBird Golf Course in Edmond, Okla.

The course played as a par-71 and spanned 5,908 yards.The Tigers opened the event with a 341 in round one, then had back to back 353 rounds. The team finished 195-over par.Shayla Nordlund led Fort Hays State with rounds of 77, 84 and 82, tying for 31st at 30-over par. Nordlund was tied for seventh after round one, finishing 6-over par and with two of her three birdies in the round.Hayden York followed, tying for 57th with rounds of 83, 84 and 93 for a 260 (+47). Abbie Norris finished in 66th after scores of 92, 97 and 85 (+61). Kiley Maier shot 91, 88 and 97 to finish 67th at 276 (+63). Emma Walz placed 68th with a total of 280 in rounds of 90, 97 and 93 (+67)The Tigers managed ten birdies and 87 pars as a team across the three rounds. Norris had three birdies, with Maier finishing with a pair. York and Walz each had one birdie.No. 21 Central Missouri claimed the tournament title with team total of 916 (+64), winning by 22 shots. Sam Maceli from Northeastern State earned medalist honors at 16-over par, carding rounds of 77, 76 and 76.The team will now wait for the regional selection announcement, set for Monday (April 28). HAYS – TMP softball moved its record to 12-0 with two
run-rule victories over the Ellis Railroaders in Hays Monday. 

The Monarchs scored 15 runs in the first inning of game one
in a 19-0 victory. 

Rebel led off the bottom of the first with a triple, and
after Hannah Rose was hit by a pitch, Brooke Koenigsman singled home a run,
putting TMP up 1-0. A second run scored on a throw, and Koenigsman ended up on
third.

Paige Koenigsman followed with an RBI double, and Bria
Windholz added an RBI single, putting TMP up 4-0.

Two batters later, Brynn Schoepf singled him the fifth run
of the first inning for TMP.

After the Monarchs' fourth straight single, they added a run
on a wild pitch, and then Brynn Rebel doubled to center, driving in three runs
and putting TMP up 9-0.

Ellis then committed back-to-back errors, the second of
which allowed a run to score for a 10-0 TMP lead. 

Molly Helget capped off the Monarchs' first inning with a
two-run triple, giving the Monarchs a 15-0 lead through the first inning of
play.

In the second, with a runner on base, Brooke Koenigsman
homered to center, giving TMP the 17-0 lead.

Three hitters later, the Monarchs added a pair of runs on
two passed balls, putting TMP up 19-0.

Brynn Rebel was 2-for-2 at the plate and drove in three
runs. Brooke Koenigsman drove in four runs and Paige Koenigsman added three RBIs.

Rebel earned the win with three shutout innings and six strikeouts.

In the second game of the doubleheader, every Monarch in the
lineup but one collected a base hit, and Bria Windholz turned in four perfect
innings in the circle in a 15-0 TMP victory.

Windholz struck out seven in the victory.

Brynn Rebel led off the bottom of the first inning with a home
run putting TMP up 1-0.

Two hitters later, the Monarchs added a run on an error and
a Piper Simpson single, making it 3-0 TMP.

It was 4-0 TMP following an Addison Watson RBI groundout,
and then Brynn Schoepf singled for a 5-0 TMP lead through the first inning.

Following a Rebel triple to lead off the bottom of the
second, a Rose sacrifice fly made it 6-0 TMP.

A second triple for TMP in the inning, by Brooke Koenigsman,
followed by a Simpson RBI groundout made it 7-0 TMP.

Watson drove in a second run on a two-out single, giving TMP
an 8-0 lead through the second inning.

In the bottom third, the Monarchs opened the scoring on an error,
and then Paige Koenigsman's two-run single made it 11-0 TMP. 

A Windholz triple scored Koenigsman, and an error on the next
play scored the courtesy runner for Windholz, putting TMP up 13-0.

Addison Watson stole home to close out the TMP threat in the
third with a 14-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fourth, TMP’s Rose singled home the
Monarchs' 15th run of the game, giving them the 15-0 victory.

Brynn Rebel and Brynn Schoepf each recorded three hits, and
Adison Watson drove in three runs for the Monarchs.

TMP travels to Goodland to take on the Cowgirls on Tuesday.

Hays Post Sports HAYS – The TMP-Marian Monarchs extended their win streak to
10 straight to open the season Monday. They completed a doubleheader sweep of
the Ellis Railroaders in Hays, winning 10-0 and 14-4.

The Monarchs scored in four of five innings in a 10-0
run-rule victory in game one.

Following a scoreless first inning, the Monarchs pushed
across the game's first runs, scoring four runs in the bottom of the second
inning.

Grant Nehls scored the game’s first run when he scored on a
passed ball. 

Ian Nehls added a two-run single for a 3-0 TMP lead, and
then Jacob Seib scored on a passed ball, making it 4-0.

TMP loaded the bases to open the bottom of the third inning
before pushing for more run across in the inning.

The Monarchs' first run of the inning came on a wild pitch.
They added a second run on a Connor Breit RBI single. A third run scored on an
Austin Gilbert RBI single and the final run scored on a Ian Nehls RBI ground out
putting TMP up 8-0.

A Gilbert sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth gave TMP
a 9-0 lead.

In the fifth, Caden Dinkel singled home a run in the bottom
of the fifth leading TMP to the 10-0 run rule&nbsp;
victory.

Dinkel finished 3-for-4 and Ian Nehls drove in three runs.

Carson Liles earned the victory with four shutout innings.
He allowed just three hits with two walks and two strikeouts. 

GAME 2: TMP 14, Ellis 4 In the day's final game, the Monarchs scored in every inning
on their way to a 14-4 victory.

Ellis opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the top of
the first. 

The Monarchs answered with two runs in the bottom of the
first on a two-run Grant Nehls double.

The Railers tied the game with a single run in the top of
the second.

Ian Nehls put the Monarchs back on top, in the bottom of the
second, on a sacrifice fly to center field, making it 3-2.

A Connor Breit sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third,
putting TMP up 4-2.

The Monarchs broke free with five runs in the bottom of the fourth.

Ty Schmeidler and Caden Dinkel drove in two runs with
back-to-back RBI singles.

An Adler Brown two-run double makes it 8-2 TMP. TMP also
added a run on an error for a 9-2 through four innings.

TMP pushed two more runs across when Grant Nehls tripled and
scored on an error, putting TMP up 11-2.

After Ellis scored two runs in the top of the sixth, the
Monarchs took advantage of three walks, two errors, and a single in the bottom
of the sixth inning as they scored three runs, securing the 14-4 run-rule
victory.

Jacob Seib finished 3-for-5 and scored three runs. Grant Nehls finished 2-for-2 with four RBI's and 3 walks.

Caden Dinkel earned the win. He allowed just two runs on four hits over four innings.&nbsp;

K-State's Sundell selected in WNBA draft

NEW YORK (AP) — Trent Grisham, Ben Rice and Austin Wells each hit a solo home run off Seth Lugo in the fifth inning, and the New York Yankees beat the Kansas City Royals 4-1 on Monday night in their first meeting since last year's AL Division Series.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. tied the score in the fourth with his sixth homer, an inning after Bobby Witt Jr.’s home run against Carlos Carrasco (2-1) on the 10th pitch of his at-bat put Kansas City ahead.

Carrasco and four relievers combined on a two-hitter for the Yankees, whose starters entered with a 5.40 ERA.

New York (9-7) had lost five of its previous seven games. The Yankees beat the Royals in four games during their ALDS last October.

Lugo (1-2) gave up 16 homers in 33 starts last season, when he was a first-time All-Star. Mixing nine different pitches, he allowed seven hits in 6 2/3 innings. He had yielded more than two homers just once before, when Philadelphia hit four on Sept. 17, 2020.

Carrasco allowed one hit in five innings. Fernando Cruz, Tim Hill, Luke Weaver and Devin Williams followed. Williams allowed Witt's leadoff single in the ninth and a one-out walk before retiring Miakel Garcia on a game-ending flyout for his second save.

Kansas City (8-9) wore its new powder blue-and-white caps and helmets with dark blue bills along with powder blue uniforms.

Jonathan India went 0 for 3 with a walk as the designated hitter after missing a game with tightness in his right quadriceps.

Royals first baseman Mark Canha (left abductor strain) will start a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday. Left-hander Sam Long was seen by a doctor who confirmed the pitcher has elbow inflammation. Long won't throw for five days, then will ramp up for five days.

Grisham's home run was his fourth this season; last year he hit his fourth on June 22.

All four Yankees homers were by left-handed hitters: on a changeup, cutter and a pair of fastballs.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Cole Ragans managed to pitch through a left hamstring cramp for 7 2/3 innings and get his first win this season.

“The hammy started to tighten up and I just didn’t want to push it,” Ragans said after leading the Kansas City Royals over the Cleveland Guardians 4-2 on Sunday.

A 27-year-old left-hander who finished fourth in AL Cy Young Award voting last year, Ragans struck out 10 and walked none while allowing two runs — one earned — and four hits.

Ragans (1-0) felt a nagging pain in his hamstring throughout the game, but it intensified after he got Austin Hedges to pop out for the second out of the eighth inning. Lucas Erceg relieved and got the last out of the inning. Carlos Estévez allowed a leadoff single in the ninth, then struck out three straight batters for his fifth save in six chances.

“You don’t want it to where it turns more serious than it actually is," Ragans said. "There was no reason to keep trying to pitch.”

Kansas City was optimistic Ragans will take his next turn, likely Friday in Detroit.

“He was honest with us throughout the game and was honest with us when he started feeling in more in the eighth inning,” Royals manager Matt Quatraro said. “He was trying to be smart and not push through it, which was the right thing to do.”

Ragans threw 89 pitches and became the second pitcher in Royals’ history to have 10 or more strikeouts in three consecutive starts after Kevin Appier in 1996.

Cleveland took a 2-0 lead in the second when Daniel Schneemann hit an RBI double and continued home on shortstop Bobby Witt Jr.’s throwing error. Ragans then retired nine straight batters and 17 of his last 18.

Kansas City rallied when Salvador Perez hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning and Maikel Garcia had a two-run double in the fifth.

“I try to get quick outs,” Ragans said. “If I’m filling up the strike zone, then (the hitters) are going to have to swing the bats. I just try to get ahead in the count and stay ahead and trust the guys behind me to make plays. If they are swinging early in the count, it might help you later to get them to chase some pitches.”

⚾Cole Ragans strikes out 10 as Royals win in Cleveland

HAYS, Kan. - The 20th-ranked Fort Hays State baseball team rattled off a season-high 21 hits in a 17-7 run rule win over Northeastern State on Sunday (April 13), taking the series with the RiverHawks two games to one. Every Tiger scored at least once and collected at least one hit in the blowout win, including a five-hit day for Tony Moore and four hits from Trey DeGarmo.

With the win, the Tigers (26-10, 20-5 MIAA) secured a trip to the 2025 MIAA Baseball Championship Tournament with 11 games left to play on the league schedule. The Tigers also reached 20 league wins for the first time in 13 years (2012 - 29-24 overall, 20-19 MIAA).

FHSU never trailed in the contest after the first six batters of the game came in to score on a pair of three-run home runs. DeGarmo crushed the first bomb to left center before Derek Woolwine ripped another three-run home run to right center three batters later, forcing NSU's starting pitcher out of the game before he recorded one out.

The RiverHawks (12-27, 9-16) pulled within 6-2 after solo home runs in the next two frames, but Fort Hays State was able to push the lead back to six with a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth. Moore opened the scoring with an RBI double to left center before later coming in to score on a double play.

Three hits, including a three-run home run, helped NSU close within 8-6 in the top of the fifth, before FHSU answered right back with four runs of its own. Zane Knox and Cooper Howell opened the run with back-to-back singles before Cesar Saavedra and Moore followed with back-to-back RBI doubles. Saavedra then scored on a balk before DeGarmo made it 12-6 with a single to left.

Gage Williams, NSU's leadoff hitter, clubbed his second solo home run in the top of the sixth to trim the deficit to 12-7 before the Tigers scraped together four more runs in the bottom of the sixth to help the lead balloon to 16-7.

Woolwine opened the frame with a double before Knox was hit by a pitch. Howell then laid down a sacrifice bunt, with the NSU first baseman opting to go after the lead runner at third. The throw was late and then muffed by the third baseman, allowing Woolwine to scamper home. Moore drove in two more with a single to right before Herrmann made it a nine-run lead with a two-out single to center.

The Tigers walked it off in the bottom of the eighth when Moore led off with his fifth hit of the game. Isaiah Ural followed with a double down the right field line, putting two runners in scoring position for DeGarmo. The senior came through with his fourth hit of the game, a single to right to drive in the run-rule-clinching run.

Brett Jacobs made his first career start, allowing six runs on five hits over 4.2 innings of work while striking out three batters. Kaleb Carpenter (3-2) earned the win after allowing one run on one hit over 2.1 innings of relief, striking out four. Trevor Baugh pitched the final inning, striking out one batter and walking one while allowing no hits.

Moore was 5-for-5 with four runs and four RBI, the first five-hit game for a Tiger since Herrmann did so last March (3/12/24 at NU). DeGarmo added five RBI and finished the game 4-for-5 at the dish. Woolwine had three hits and drove in three RBI, while Saavedra was 2-for-4 with three runs scored.

The Fort Hays State track and field teams turned in several standout performances over the weekend as they split competition between the Jo Meaker Classic &amp; Multis in Canyon, Texas, and the K.T. Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan. Facing a strong field that included numerous NCAA Division I programs, the Tigers posted multiple top finishes and provisional marks across both meets.

The Jo Meaker Classic &amp; Multis saw  Annabeth Baalmann clear a school-record height of 13-9.25, breaking her own previous record from earlier this season. The mark not only earned her first place in the event but currently ranks her second in Division II and stands as a provisional qualifier for nationals.

In the men's decathlon, Nolan Churchman secured a second-place finish with 7,138 points, highlighted by a first-place finish in the long jump (24-6) and second in the 400m (49.24). His total also met the provisional qualifying standard. Teammate Drew Tolar placed eighth overall, also hitting a provisional mark with 6,578 points.

The pole vault squad made a statement on the men's side as well, sweeping multiple top spots. Brady Deges and Josiah Ball tied for second at 15-7.0.

Sprinter Nakari Morrical-Palmer continued his strong outdoor season, finishing eighth in the 400m (47.90) and 12th in the 200m with a provisional time of 20.98. The men's 4x100-meter relay team of Eddie McVay, Toby Wahlmeier, Avrey Albright, and Hayden Albright crossed the line in 40.71 seconds, good for sixth place and also a provisional qualifier.

On the women's side, Reba Mader claimed a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:02.33, while Jayme Hagerman had a strong showing in the horizontal jumps, placing fifth in the long jump (18-10.0) and 10th in the triple jump (37-1.75).

The K.T Woodman Classic saw Emily Diercks lead the way with a dominant performance in the women's 5000m, finishing first overall in a time of 16:55.67, hitting a provisional qualifying mark in the process. The Tigers placed six women in the top 35 in the event, including Ashlyn Harbaugh (12th, 17:47.79) and Emma Weiner (15th, 17:55.14).

In the men's steeplechase, Noah Morenz clocked 9:15.79 to finish fifth, while Christian Darrah earned a third-place finish in the men's 5000m (14:31.01), adding another top-five performance to the weekend tally.

Makenzie Premer led the women in the steeplechase with a third-place finish at 11:24.74, while Eden Bathurst secured a top-15 finish in the 800m, placing 14th in 2:18.34.

In the throws, Jessica Saunders placed sixth in the discus (148-1.0), while Emma Slade was close behind in eighth (144-10.0). Slade also competed in the shot put and hammer throw, helping round out a busy weekend for the Tigers' field athletes.
