PARKER, Colo. – The Gameday Angels broke open a one-run game with six runs over the final two innings and handed the Hays Larks an 8-1 loss Thursday night at Double Angel Field.
The Larks (18-2, 15-2 RMBL) scored their only run in the top of the first inning when Sean Keenen delivered an RBI single.
Gameday (8-9, 6-9 RMBL) took the lead in the fifth inning on doubles by Tyler Genrich and Clifford Goldy. The Angels added two runs in the seventh on a David Brabb triple before Genrich capped a four-run eighth inning with a grand slam.
Sam Lunsford (4-1) suffered his first loss of the season after allowing two runs on six hits over six innings. He struck out one and did not issue a walk.
J. Peinado surrendered four runs, two earned, on four hits in one inning of relief. Carson Liles allowed two runs on one hit in the eighth.
Rayner Beene and Sean Keenen each collected two hits as the Larks finished with six hits in the loss.

The Larks and Angels close out the two-game series Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Double Angel Field.
