<img src="https://media.eaglewebservices.com/public/2019/11/1574777743822.jpeg">Theresa Jo (Lance) Williams, age 79, of Goodland passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019 at her home.&nbsp; Jo was born January 26, 1940 to Larry and Barbara (Fressle) Lance in Los Angeles County, California.&nbsp;She grew up in Burbank, California and graduated High School in Skagway, Alaska.&nbsp;On September 19, 1957 she married Buckley Duane Williams in Carson City, Nevada.&nbsp;She took Spanish and shorthand classes at Wallace County High School in Sharon Springs and during her cancer treatment she took a semester of Art at Colby Community College in Colby.&nbsp; Jo loved preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom.&nbsp;She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, cross-stitch, diamond and oil painting, scuba diving and spending time with her family and friends.&nbsp;&nbsp; Preceding her in death are her parents and grandparents; husband, Larry; and her grandson, Tyler Duane.&nbsp; She is survived by her sons, Steven Wade Williams (Carol Hatman) of Sharon Springs, KS; Bryan Dean Williams of Topeka, KS; Larry Joe Williams (Lynn) of Kanorado, KS; Chris Lee Williams of Goodland, KS; sister, Chris Provenzano/Chernof (Dave) of Santa Barbara, CA; grandchildren, Katie, Amy, Maggie, Gavin, Beau, Desiree and Alexis; and many other family and friends.&nbsp; Click <a href="https://www.batemanfuneral.com/notices/Theresa-Williams" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">HERE</a> for service details.

She was born on October 4, 1932, at Wilson, Okla. to Duane “D.M.” and Elizabeth (McKinnon) McCown.&nbsp;Pat graduated from Healdton High School in Healdton, Okla., in 1949. On June 16, 1952, she married the love of her life, Billy Joe “Bill” Patton in Oklahoma City. During their 68 year marriage, Bill’s work in the oil business took them to live in Odessa, Texas, Haysville, Wichita and Hoisington. During their time in Hoisington, she was employed for a short time with the Post Office, but her main profession was homemaker.&nbsp;Pat’s faith and her Church were very important to her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hoisington. Along with several other women, she was one of the founders of the Food Bank in Hoisington and was enthusiastically active in this endeavor.&nbsp;Survivors include, three sons, Michael Patton of Hoisington, Jon Patton and wife Rosa of Tribune, and Jim Patton and wife Diane of Maize; one daughter, Susan Waller and husband Tom of Garden City; one brother, Jon Roy McCown and wife Delma of Shawnee, Okla.; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Billy Joe "Bill" Patton; and two brothers, Robert Duane McCown and Richard Norman McCown.&nbsp;Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 6, 2019, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with Reverend Seong Lee and Ron Bailey presiding. Inurnment will follow for Pat, along with Bill with military honors, in the Hoisington Cemetery. He was born November 28, 1947, in Emporia, to William and Florina June (Davidson) Marcellus, Sr. Bill married Donna Mearl (Dyer) Dec. 17, 1977, at Hoisington. She survives.&nbsp;Bill, a resident of Hoisington since 1977, was an accountant for APS and a career band and vocal teacher, teaching in Hoisington, Lewis and Wilson. He also took a lot of pride teaching a period of time in Kenya at a Bible College. Through the course of his working life, he was the pianist for Hoisington public schools, organist for several area churches, substitute teacher, and taught piano lessons. In his spare time, Bill collected stamps and coins, and together with Donna, Bill enjoyed flower gardening.&nbsp;Survivors include his wife, Donna; three daughters, Donita Donovan and husband Darrel of Hoisington, Veronica Ludwig of Olmitz, Florina Burns and husband Daniel of Puebla, Mexico; one sister, Margaret Hanson of Emporia; six grandchildren, Justin Ludwig and companion Erin Schmidt, Shawn Ludwig and wife Hannah, Dylan Donovan and wife Andrea, Devan Donovan and fiancée Andrew Hall, Azrielle Burns and Avianna Burns; five great grandchildren, Aria Donovan, Greyson Donovan, Wrenleigh Donovan, Molly Ludwig, and a great granddaughter expected to arrive soon. William Jacob 'Bill' Marcellus

He was born at Arkansas City, Kansas on April 5, 1925, the son of Floyd and Lillian (Morgan) Wright. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1943. A World War II veteran, he served in the 63rd Armored Infantry Battalion of the 11th Armored Division. Wounded in action in Andernach, Germany on March 9, 1945, he was honorably discharged at the O’Reilly General (Army) Hospital at Springfield, Missouri on May 21, 1946. He attended Arkansas City Junior College, and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1950, and practiced law at Larned from then until his retirement in 2001. On May 2, 1954, he married Joan McDowell at Pratt, she survives him.&nbsp; Other surviving family members include; a brother, Willard Wright of Austin, Texas; his daughter Beth Wright and husband Craig Chisholm of Omaha, Nebraska; two grandsons, Bryan of Prairie Village and Nolan of Wichita, the children of his deceased son, Wyatt Wright, and Pam Wright of Overland Park, Wyatt’s surviving wife; his sister, Betty Wright Smith predeceased him. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Larned. Cremation has taken place. A private family service and inurnment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City, at a later date. Freda was born on July 18, 1916, in Bird City, KS to Adolph and Julesie Z. (Hansson) Gemmer.&nbsp;She was one of six children.&nbsp;She graduated from Edson High School in 1934.&nbsp;Following graduation she went on and completed a summer class at K-State to receive her teaching certificate. On November 9, 1941, Freda married Harlan B. House in Goodland at the Methodist Church parsonage.&nbsp;To this union, four children were born; Harlan, Lorna, Linda, and LeAnn.&nbsp; Freda taught first through 8th grade in rural Sherman County.&nbsp;Most of all she enjoyed working as a homemaker and raising her family.&nbsp;She enjoyed working with youth in Church and 4-H, and volunteered in the local schools. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, one grandson Andy House, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her four children; son Harlan and Cora House of Goodland, KS, daughter Lorna and Leonard Nelson of Arvada, CO, daughter Linda and Gerald Franklin of Goodland, KS , and daughter LeAnn House and Shelley Gruskin of Duluth, MN.&nbsp;She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. Kathleen Ann (Rafferty) Foss, 67, of Great Bend, Kansas and formerly of Russell, Kansas, passed away at her home in Great Bend on November 25, 2019. Kathleen was born January 4, 1952 in Russell, the daughter of Clyde W. and Beulah (Cornwell) Rafferty.&nbsp;She grew up in Russell and Osborne, Kansas and graduated from Russell High School in 1970.&nbsp;Later she attended a Cosmetology School in Great Bend. Kathleen was united in marriage to Mark “Shorty” Dumler in June of 1970.&nbsp;This union was blessed with a daughter, Tracial.&nbsp;They made their home in Russell until they divorced in 1981.&nbsp;In 1981 she moved to Salina, Kansas then in 1986 she lived in Hutchinson.&nbsp;She then moved to Liberal, Kansas, in 1990 and lived there until 2002 when she returned to Russell. Kathleen was a Sales Representative for many media outlets in the Kansas area.&nbsp;She worked for KAKE TV, Cox Communications, KSKU and The B in Hutchinson.&nbsp;She was a member of the Russell Elks Lodge.&nbsp;She enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, spending time at the lake and taking care of animals. Kathleen’s surviving family include her daughter, Traci Dumler of Hutchinson, Kansas; sister, Clydell Steinert (Carl) of Chase, Kansas; three grandchildren, Abigail Dumler, Gabrelle Bafford and Kelley Bafford; great grandson, Kyelyn Newlin; and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gale Rafferty. (Gipe) Alexander. He was united in marriage on August 26, 1967 in Almena, KS to Gayle L. Troutner.&nbsp;She survives of the home. Paul was born July 16th 1962 in Wichita to parents Richard Dean and Sonja Marie (Fagen) Wasko. He graduated from Hanston High School in 1981. After high school, Paul attended Fort Hays State University and graduated in 1985. On January 21, 1989, he was united in marriage to Judy Ravenstein at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jetmore, Kansas. Paul was openly proud of their daughters, Cassie, Rachel and Sara. Paul was a lifetime area resident and spent his life farming and ranching. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Paul was a thirty plus year member of the Hodgeman County Farm Bureau where he served in many capacities at the local and state level. He was honored to be the receipt of the Farm Bureau Farm Family Of The Year Award in 2008. He thoroughly enjoyed helping with the Hodgeman County Fair Pedal Pull and looked forward to cheering on the kids every year. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Judy Wasko, Hanston; his parents, Richard and Sonja Wasko, Hanston; three daughters, Cassandra (Jake) Miller, Culbertson, NE, Rachel (Drew) Reida, Wichita, Sara (Zach Hendrixson) Wasko, Jetmore; brother, Kurt (Kim) Wasko, Winfield; two sisters, Ronna (George) Schmidt, Tribune, Donna (Chad) Kirk, Minneola; two grandchildren, Jaax Reida and Cora Miller as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Dave was the Manager for Western Metal Company in Hays for the past 21 years and prior to that had worked for Western Metal Company in Louisburg, Kansas. Dave was a lifetime member of the Sons of the VFW, a member of Ellis Golf Club where he was very active in the Men’s Association. Dave enjoyed hunting, casino trips and being with family and friends. She was born August 25, 1937 in Beeler, the daughter of Forrest and Dorothy Fern Slaughter Edwards.&nbsp;A longtime area resident, she was a bookkeeper for Terry’s L.P. Gas.She was of the Christian faith and was a member of ESA.&nbsp;She loved to bowl, garden, quilt and help with the cattle on the farm. On May 7, 1955 she married Terry G. <img src="https://media.eaglewebservices.com/public/2019/11/1574877529572.jpeg">Anna Alvena (Hagerman) Harms, age 95, of WaKeeney, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital, WaKeeney.&nbsp; She was born March 28, 1924, in Pawnee County, Kansas, to Walter and Anna (Folkerts) Hagerman.Anna grew up on the family farm; she was proud to be a farmgirl.&nbsp;She graduated from Rozel High School.&nbsp;On September 12, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harry Harms in Great Bend, Kansas.&nbsp;They enjoyed 55 years of marriage, until Harry’s death in October of 2003.&nbsp;Anna enjoyed the companionship of Jack Hardesty, who was by her side for nearly 9 years, until his passing.&nbsp; A proud homemaker, farmgirl at heart, and fun loving dancer, Anna could be found doing anything from making and fixing clothing, to canning food for family and friends, to tending her garden (especially her roses, or just having a great time on the dance floor at local events.&nbsp;She enjoyed her cards, especially pitch and pinochle, and was very active in church and Sunday school. Those left to mourn her passing are her children, Kenneth W. (Mary) Harms, of Shawnee, Kansas, and Elaine Conness, of WaKeeney; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Ramage of Atchison, Kansas, Christopher (Greta) Harms of Kansas City, Missouri, Ian Conness and Sean Conness, both of WaKeeney; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.&nbsp; She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry; her special companion, Jack; son-in-law, Robert R. Conness, Jr.; siblings, Velma Smith, Emma Marlett, and Louis “Bud” Hagerman; and several nieces and nephews. Family Hosted memorial services will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Grace Lutheran Church with Reverend Nicholas Martinez as officiant.&nbsp;Private graveside inurnment will take place at Larned Cemetery. She was born November 29, 1925, on the family farm west of Hays, the daughter of Frank and Martha (Ploutz) Fogle.&nbsp;In October of 1964, she married Fred Sessin, Jr., and they celebrated 39 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on November 17, 2003.&nbsp;She was a hardworking farmer and farmwife and longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church.&nbsp;She enjoyed flower gardening, doing puzzles, and was very determined and faithful. Survivors include a son; Curt Sessin and wife Mary of Casper, WY, a daughter; Martha “Marty” Kennedy and husband David of Larned, a daughter-in-law; Karen Sessin of Los Angeles, CA, two granddaughters; Amber Hilton and fiance Andy McLain and Kaitlin Loberg, two grandsons; Cody Loberg and Billy Wahl, five great grandchildren; Hailie, Kailie, Danton, Mary, and Hunter, and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Fred, a son; Kirk Sessin, and a sister; Bertha Fogle. <img src="https://media.eaglewebservices.com/public/2019/11/1574793350339.png">Donald Sidney Jackson, beloved son of Granville and Maxine (Gustafson) Jackson, was born on July 23, 1948 in Long Beach, California, and peacefully passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton with his loving wife by his side, November 24, 2019, at the age of 71. Don grew up in California and graduated from Artesia High School. He also attended Tech School and received his degree for Carpentry. Don lived several places in California before moving to Kansas in 1994. On August 13, 1977, Don married the love of his life, Kandis Delimont in Long Island, Kansas. They lived in Tescott, Kansas; Evans, Colorado, and Greeley, Colorado before making their home in Norton, Kansas. Don had his own business as a carpenter, but also worked as a maintenance man for Valley Hope and assisted Dale Carlson at the First United Methodist Church in Norton. Don was a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship in Greeley, Colorado where he was a head usher. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, his carpentry work, adding to his collection of pepsi-cola products, playing wahoo, pitch, and pinochle, and looking at antique cars. Don had a big heart and loved to help others. His greatest love was spending time with his friends and family, especially when it involved the farm or lake. Survivors include: his loving wife, Kandis of Norton; three children, James, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Jackson, Abilene, KS; Denah Young, and fiancé, Michael Jensen, Lincoln, KS; Jason, and wife, Melinda Jackson, Evergreen, CO; four brothers, David Jackson, Sparkman, AR; Thomas, and wife, Crystal Jackson, Kerrville, TX; Kelly, and wife, Barb Jackson; Livingston, TX; Stan, and wife, Liz Jackson, , AZ; one sister, Carolyn, and husband, Randy Willis, , FL; one brother-in-law, Jeffry, and wife, Melissa Delimont, Norton, KS; four sisters-in-law, Pamela, and husband, Rick Keenan, Norton, KS; Pennie, and husband, Terry Laughlin, Norton, KS; Shelli Stanley, Millersburg, OH; Abi Delimont, Norton, KS; 10 grandchildren, Abbagail, Sidney, R.C., Roxy, Amber, Penelope, and husband, Steven, Tiffany, Chase, Brooke, and Kevan; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous other relatives and friends. She was born on March 14, 1921, in Great Bend to Kirby Evers &amp; Lillie (Essmiller) Evers. Receiving her education in Great Bend, graduating with the Class of 1939. Doris met and later married Harvey West on April 17, 1940. Doris worked as a farm wife and homemaker. Together they raised their family of one son, Marty S. West and wife Janis and one daughter, Nancy J. DeFazio and husband Joe, all of Wichita; three grandchildren, Chris West and wife Martha, Amy Kleineschmidt and husband Scott and Gina DeFazio; four great grandchildren, Emma Kleinschmidt, Evan Kleinschmidt, Stella West and Cale West; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Doris enjoyed being surrounded by the love of her family, relatives and friends. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, a Sunday School teacher, Deacon, a Blue Bird Leader, Volunteer E.A.R.S and a lifetime member Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey L. West; and one sister, Ida Clarke. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Reverend Dick Ogle presiding. James “Jim” Brungardt, age 81, of Victoria, Kansas, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. He was born January 17, 1938, in Salina, Kansas, to H. F. “Ham” and Regina F. (VonLintel) Brungardt.&nbsp;He married Gladys M. (Kippes) on April 10, 1961, in Victoria,&nbsp;Kansas. He and his wife owned and operated Brungardt’s IGA grocery store in Victoria, Kansas, until they retired in the mid-1990s.&nbsp;He remained very active and continued working as a courier for KPC Labs of Hays for 15 years.&nbsp;The Brungardt family started the hardware and grocery store in the late 1890s and served the Victoria community for four generations.&nbsp; He was a 1955 graduate of Victoria High School, attended Rockhurst College in Kanas City, and was a graduate of Fort Hays State College.&nbsp;He served in the Kansas Air National Guard for three years, and was a member of the Butterfield Antique Car Club for a number of years.&nbsp;He was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis, the Victoria 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and the 4th Degree Assembly Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Brungardt, of the home; one son, Chris Brungardt and wife, Bertha, Victoria, KS; one brother, William “Bill” Brungardt and wife, Marcie, Branson, MO; three grandchildren, James Brungardt and wife, Erin, Hays, KS; Janae Tidwell and husband, Alex, Hays, KS; Janessa Schuetz and husband, Tommy, Hays, KS; six great grandchildren, Kendall, Trey, Myla Brungardt; Makson and Shae Tidwell; Lawson Schuetz. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joyce Ann Brungardt. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 30, 2019, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas, with military honors by the Victoria V.F.W. Post No. 1751.&nbsp;A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. A vigil service with the Daughters of Isabella and Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 6:30 P.M.
