Charles "Chuck" Riedell, 69, of Hays, passed away Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at Hays Medical Center, Hays. He was born June 18, 1950 in Hays to Don and Betty (Bradley) Riedell.  

Chuck was a very talented artist and enjoyed restoring classic cars, especially mustangs. He owned and operated Western Kansas Restorations in WaKeeney, and you can still find some of his works in local car shows today.   

He is survived by his mother, a son, Eric Riedell of Hesperia, Calif.; three daughters, Talle Dykema and husband Danny of Ellis; Jennifer Grant and husband Jeremy of San Antonio, Texas; and Whitney Zerr and husband Jason of Grainfield. He has two brothers, Daniel Riedell Fricia of Calif., and Tony Riedell of Calif.; three sisters, Colleen (Richard) Wolf of Larned, Ginny Parker (Randy Schmitt) of Hutchinson and Tracey (Terry) Berry of WaKeeney; 12 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father Don Riedell and step-father Roger Hendershot; two brothers, Randy Riedell and Jim Riedell; and special friend, Alene “Allie” Meskimen.

Memorial visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, 2020 with a celebration of life service at 6:30 p.m. at Brock’s-Keithley Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 2509 Vine Hays, KS 67601.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be used according to the wishes of the family and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
