Betty C. Bivens

Betty C. Bivens, beloved daughter of Johnnie and Anna (Roeder) Bivens, was born in Norton County, Kansas on July 20, 1933, and peacefully passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton on January 14, 2020, at the age of 86.

Betty grew up in Norton County and graduated from Densmore High School. Betty worked at the Norton County Hospital, Hadley Memorial Hospital in Hays, Kansas, Graham County Hospital, and retired from Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas, as a Certified Nurses Aid. After retirement, Betty, her sister, Carolyn, and her brother, Leonard, moved back to Norton in the winter of 1999.

Betty was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Norton. She enjoyed studying genealogy, crocheting, cooking, and canning. Betty's greatest love was her family, especially her sister, four nieces, and three nephews.

Survivors include: her sister, Carolyn Bivens, Norton; four nieces; three nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews several other relatives and friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leonard and Kenneth; one sister, Delores.

INURNMENT – An inurnment service will be held in May.

PLACE – Norton Cemetery – Norton, Kansas

MEMORIALS – Memorials are requested to go to the Enfield Funeral Home to help Carolyn purchase a headstone for Betty.
