Plainville resident Laci J. Griffin passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at the Hays Medical Center, Hays, KS at the age of 36.

She was born December 17, 1983, in Phillipsburg, KS the daughter of Monte L. and Myra C. “Micki” (Horn) Griffin.

Survivors include her daughter, Stella Mae Reese; 2 sons, Rexford 
Sawyer Reese and Fletcher Charles McQueen all of Plainville; her father 
Monte L. Griffin of Phillipsburg; her mother Micki Griffin of 
Plainville; Grandfather Chuck Horn of McPherson, KS; 3 brothers, Cooper 
Lewis Griffin of Phillipsburg, Kaleb Scott Garcia of Plainville and 
Kayden Charles Garcia of McPherson; and 3 sisters, Shelby Ann Griffin of
 Logan, Mollie Mae Griffin of Phillipsburg and Mindy Louise Casto of 
Breckenridge, TX.

Private family services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 4th
 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg, with Pastor Troy 
Buss officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, 
Phillipsburg.&nbsp; The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve 
Memorial Chapel Facebook page.

Laci will lie in state from noon until 9 p.m. Friday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, Phillipsburg.

Terrence L. "Terry" Bieberly, 74, died March 30, 2020, at Bethany 
Home, Lindsborg.&nbsp; He was born July 26, 1945, in Dodge City, to Ralph and
 Ann (Bestgen) Bieberly.

Terry graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Salina.&nbsp; He worked in 
management for various clothing and department stores, including Longs, 
Dillards, and Jos A. Bank.&nbsp; Terry was a member of Church of the Holy 
Cross, Hutchinson.

On October 19, 1963, he married Deanna Schumacher in Hays.

Terry is survived by:&nbsp; his wife of almost 58 years, Deanna of 
Hutchinson; children, Terry Bieberly, Jr. (Stephanie) of Minneapolis, 
MN, Lisa Alfaro (Tom) of Mission, KS, Deborah Howard (Chuck) of Salina, 
Matthew Bieberly (Carmin) of Owasso, OK; 11 grandchildren, Mattie 
Sunner, Traci McCaskill, Abby Anderson, Tyler and Tanner Grigg, Brock 
and Chase Howard, Cailin, Reese, Brynlee, and Nell Bieberly; and

Terrence L. ‘Terry’ Bieberly

James Armond “Jim” Dallen, 73, loving husband, father &amp; grandpa, 
died March 31, 2020, at his home in Hoisington. He was born April 21, 
1946, in rural Clifton, Kansas, the son of Louis Ancy Dallen and Stella 
Marie (Girard) Dallen. He was raised in the Catholic faith. Jim 
graduated from Clifton High School in 1964, he then served in the Army 
as a Sergeant from 1967 to 1969 receiving the Purple Heart.

On August 31, 1968, he married Marsha E. Hays at the Schilling Air Force Base Chapel in Salina.

Jim retired from Dillons after 39 years, working as a meat cutter and
 being promoted to market manager in 1980. Jim enjoyed sports and was 
once active in several bowling leagues.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years, Marsha E. Dallen of 
the home; daughter, Jennifer Ann Wilson-Compton and husband Jeffrey of 
Hoisington; son, Richard James Dallen and wife Violeta of Copperas Cove,
 Texas; siblings, Loretta Cyre of Clay Center, Eli Dallen of Perry, 
Oklahoma, Emma Rose Dunphy of Manhattan, and Shirley Richechy of 
Belleville; nine grandchildren, Justin Dallen, Austin Dallen, Brittny 
Dallen, Taylor Dallen and wife Madison, Brittany Turner and husband 
Duke, Clarke Wilson, Jr., Tristin Compton, Jaala Compton; and six great 
grandchildren, Vada Kaiser, Jhadyn Turner, Parker &amp; Briley Turner, 
Landyn &amp; Maverick Dallen.

Visitation will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

James Armond 'Jim' Dallen

Carl Lee Bryant, 81, died March 31, 2020, at Great Bend Health &amp; 
Rehabilitation Center. He was born March 2, 1939, in Compton, Arkansas, 
the son of Oscar and Maybell (Hollingsworth) Bryant.

On January 27, 1961, he married Rose Marie Bird, in Lincoln, Kansas. She preceded him in death on January 17, 2015.

A longtime Hoisington resident, Carl retired from Klima Well Service.

Survivors include his three children; Louann Clark &amp; 
husband&nbsp;Lawrence&nbsp;of Susank, Janice Lauber and husband Daniel of Great 
Bend, and Vivian Bryant of Great Bend; three sisters, Sandra Morrison, 
and Andra Dean, of Harrison, Arkansas, and Alma Fox of Larned; 11 
grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Roy Bryant; brothers, 
Leroy, Freddie, and Willie Bryant; a sister, Delpha Anderson; and a 
great granddaughter, Abigail Richardson.

Friends may call 9a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Due to 
the restrictions of the current COVID-19 pandemic, a private family 
service will be held. Burial will be in Hoisington Cemetery.

A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Gerald Dean Leikam, age 76, passed away on March 31, 2020 at the Ness 
County Hospital in Ness City, Kansas. He was born December 30, 1943 in 
Ness City, Kansas the son of Alphonse and Frances (Korbe) Leikam. Jerry 
graduated from Ness City High School in 1962. He was a member of the 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ness City. He was preceded in death by 
his parents; brothers Robert Leikam, Wayne Leikam, and sister Lorena 
(Leikam) Stoecklein. 

Survivors include daughter Jo Ann Hashenberger,
 husband Brian Hashenberger of Natoma, Kansas, their three children 
Danny Ellis and wife Cambria (Eickhoff) of Natoma, Kansas, Tera 
Hashenberger of Natoma, Kansas, Justin Hashenberger of Ness City, 
Kansas. Daughter Dee Bauer, husband Brady Bauer of Ness City, Kansas, 
their four children Josh Crombie and wife Lauren (Pfannenstiel) of Ness 
City, Kansas, Brittany Bauer of Ness City, Kansas, Dalton Bauer, and

Kansas passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 in Hays surrounded by loved
 ones.&nbsp; He was born January 20, 1955 in Hays to Victor Engel and Viola 
(Dougherty) Engel.&nbsp;

Dennis worked at LK Dairy and 
the&nbsp;24/7&nbsp;convenience&nbsp;store as the assistant manager and manager where he
 retired after 38 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, fantasy sports, 
playing baseball and softball. &nbsp;

He married Carol Herl on January 22, 1986. They later divorced.

He is survived by his mother, Viola 
Engel of Hays, one son, Eric (Jamie) Engel of Hays, two daughters; 
Jennifer (Travis) Ratliff of Greeley, CO and Kelli Engel of Hays, KS; 
one brother Steve (Robin) Engel of Hays; two sisters Alice (Larry) 
Robben of Hays, and Lois (Ralph) Augustine of Hays; Grandchildren 
include Brandon Ratliff, Brianna Ratliff, Evan Cosgriff - Guthrie, 
Abigail Engel and two step grand children Robert Brown and Sabrina 
Brown.&nbsp;

Jerald A. “Jerry” Lamb, 73, passed away March 30, 2020, at his home 
in Great Bend. He was born October 2, 1946, at Red Cloud, Neb., to Elwin
 D. &amp; Bessie (Novak) Lamb. He married Rosella Faye Sweeden, on April
 2, 1963, at Great Bend. She survives.

A Great Bend resident for most of his life, Jerry was a Dish Network 
Installer. He loved to tinker with things in his garage. He enjoyed 
spending time with his family and loved his dog Dusty.

Survivors include, his wife, Faye Lamb of the home; a son, Mike Lamb 
and wife Wanda of Ruidoso, New Mexico; a daughter in law, Tina Lamb of 
Great Bend; two brothers, Danny Lamb and wife Kayleen of Plainville and 
Rick Lamb and wife Susan of Hoisington; 12 grandchildren; several great 
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 
his parents; a son, Scott Lamb; a brother, Leroy Lamb; and three 
sisters, Sandra Miller, Nancy Lamb, and Glennis McNett.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place and private

 grew up in El Dorado and attended El Dorado High School until he went 
into the United States Merchant Marines in 1944 during World War II. He 
returned to El Dorado and later married Allene (Franklin) Smith on 
October 27, 1946 at the First Baptist Church. To this union, three 
children were born: Bob, Marcie, and Kathy.


Frank worked for Lane Wells Oil Service Company out of El Dorado for
 many years. When it was taken over by Dresser Atlas, they moved to 
Stockton. His last position as District Manager for Dresser moved him to
 North Dakota before his retirement in 1986. He then moved back to 
Stockton to spend the remainder of his years. Frank enjoyed the 
outdoors, especially fishing, and horses. He was on the Fair Board for 
many years and a big part of the county’s free fair. Frank and Allene 
enjoyed adventure and travels with some of their favorite trips to 
Australia, Branson, Missouri and visiting their son in Louisiana. He 
also loved to square dance; he and Allene would dance any chance they 
got, including competing at national square dancing events. Frank loved 
his family, and to keep the family connected, he and his brother put 
together an annual family reunion that hosted over 100 family and 
extended family members for over 30 years.


Frank was a member of the First Baptist Church while in El Dorado and a lifetime member of the VFW Post #8873. 


He is survived by his children, Bob (Kathy) Smith of Haughton, LA, 
Marcie McClure of El Dorado, and Kathy (Jim) Stice of Stockton; seven 
grandchildren, Jeff (Peggy) Smith, Shannon (Ricki) Mitchell, Jared 
(Sonja) Stice, Jacob (LaDonna) Stice, Kyleigh Stice, Marshall McClure, 
and Mason McClure; eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great 
granddaughter.


Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Georgia Smith; 
wife, Allene Smith; and siblings Don Smith, Jim Smith, and Veloris Fine.


A memorial service for Frank will be held at a later date due to the
 COVID-19 outbreak. Memorials are suggested to the Rooks County Fair and
 may be sent in care of Plumer- Overlease Funeral Home, 723 North First,

Medical Center in Hays, Kansas, at the age of 92. He was born to Clyde

		Corey James Ewert, 32, tragically passed away at home on March 25, 2020.&nbsp; 
		He was born April 2, 1987, in Hays, Kansas, the son of Craig and Mary 
		Ewert.&nbsp;


		Corey graduated from Lees Summit High School, Class of 2005. Following 
		graduation, he attended school at Missouri State University.&nbsp; Corey 
		worked at KC Mowing &amp; More.&nbsp; He loved his job and working outside.&nbsp; 
		Corey loved sports, primarily soccer, and was an incredibly gifted 
		goalkeeper.&nbsp; His athletic ability was amazing and revered on the 
		field.&nbsp; Corey also loved playing the game of softball.&nbsp; He was 
		extremely quick on the base paths, was not afraid to get dirty, and 
		played with an abundance of energy and emotion.&nbsp; He grew up around 
		the game with his Dad, traveling the country to numerous tournaments.&nbsp; 
		He really loved being at the ballpark and hanging out with the fellas.
		&nbsp;


		Corey will be remembered for his big heart, infectious personality, 
		sense of humor, big beautiful smile, and contagious laughter. He made 
		the room light up with his uncanny sense of humor.&nbsp; Corey had this 
		energy that made everyone want to be around him. &nbsp;He was the life of the 
		party.&nbsp;


		He is survived by loving parents, Craig and Mary Ewert of Lee’s Summit,

Patricia Ann Waldschmidt, 91, was called to her heavenly home to be with
 her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 28, 2020. 

The eldest of 
eight, she was born in Hays, Kansas, to John and Agnes Karlin Hoffman, 
both deceased. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her 
husband of  59 years, George Waldschmidt, her sisters Mary  Ann Ward and
 Juanita  Dreiling and her brothers Jack and Larry Hoffman, all of 
Kansas. In her forties, Pat took LPN training and immensely enjoyed 
nursing for several years.  In March 1980, she became a believer in 
Jesus Christ by faith alone. 

For by grace are you saved through faith, 
and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest 
any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Pat lived in the same county in 
Kansas for 81 years before moving to Tennessee in 2010. She is survived 
by her son Bruce Waldschmidt and wife Janet, of Claxton ,TN; her 5 
grandchildren Peter and Linda Waldschmidt and Daniel and Sara 
Waldschmidt, of Greer, SC, Paul and Katy Waldschmidt of Fairfax VA, and 
Faith and Joe Pinkerton and Joy and Jeremy Tyler of East Tennessee; her 
17 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Alex and Annika Waldschmidt, Bryce, 
Dustin and Dylan Waldschmidt, Bruce, Shane, Isaac and Charlotte 
Waldschmidt, Ashlee, Colton, Connor and Kara Pinkerton, and Avery, Twila
 and Asher Tyler; her sisters Ruth Moore, of Kansas City, KS, and Teresa

Howard Leon “Skip” Collins was born on August 23, 1945 in Goodland, KS to Howard Beryl and Alta Lucy (Cambridge) Collins and passed away at the age of 74 on March 29, 2020 in Osage City, KS.&nbsp;

Skip graduated from Weskan High School and proudly served his country for three years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War; doing a tour as a Radarman aboard the USS Lowry. After returning home from the service, Skip worked the family farm and earned his private pilot’s license.&nbsp; As a kid, he always dreamed of flying and he was very proud to have accomplished that dream. He was also an active member of the Sharon Springs Masonic Lodge.&nbsp;

In 1976, he married Karen Lee McCann and to this union two children were born, Natalie Kay and Christopher Ray. He lived most of his life in Weskan, KS until his health forced him to move closer to his son in Osage City.&nbsp;

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Phyllis Hurley and Janice Mote, and brothers-in-law Raymond Baehler, Keith Magwire, and OD Mote.&nbsp;

He is survived by his sister Linda Baehler of Weskan; his daughter Natalie, son-in-law Mike, and grandchildren Lauren and Sebastian Rush of Jenks, OK; his son Chris, daughter-in-law Jessica, and grandchildren Elijah, Connor, and Colton Collins of Osage City, KS; and former wife Karen Collins of Tulsa, OK.&nbsp;

Skip was a strong, caring man who would do anything for his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, took great pride in his yard, and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud. Skip loved the land that he farmed and the country that he served and he will be dearly missed.&nbsp;

Private family Graveside services will be held in the Weskan Cemetery, Weskan, KS.

Leroy Meyers Hesler, 93, passed away March 31, 2020, at Medicalodges 
of Great Bend. He was born on March 13, 1927, at Kiowa, Kan., to Jess 
Carl Hesler Sr. and Edna Gertrude (Schwartz) Hesler.

In 1952, at the age of 25, Leroy started working for Boeing in 
Wichita and lived in Mulvane. In 1954, he was drafted into the United 
States Army and was given a medical honorable discharge after 6 months. 
He resumed working at Boeing for 14 years, then moved to Augusta, where 
he worked for the Light Plant. After 12 years in Augusta, he then 
decided to move to Russell and worked for the City of Russell, where he 
retired after 14 years in the 1990s. He then moved to Great Bend.

Leroy was of the Methodist faith. He was an avid coin collector and 
enjoyed reading National Geographic magazines cover to cover. He enjoyed
 bird watching, but he especially loved cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Jess C. Hesler, Jr., and Mildred J. Seley.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 
2020, at Bryant Funeral Home. Private family services will be held. 
Interment will be in the Cimarron Cemetery with Military Rites conducted
 by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation 
Army or Golden Belt Home Health &amp; Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral

Leroy Meyers Hesler

Willa J. Ruzicka was born August 27, 1936 in Yuma, CO to Gerald T. and 
Christina (Ernest) Snider. She passed away March 23, 2020 at her home in
 Oberlin at the age of 83. 


Willa grew up in the Yuma and Wray, CO area and received her GED in 
Oberlin. She married George Ruzicka March 10, 1956 in Colorado Springs, 
CO. They moved to a farm SE of Oberlin. Willa worked as a CNA and CMA at
 the Good Samaritan Society of Decatur County for many years. She also 
worked for a trailer factory in Oberlin, was a waitress and was a member
 of the ZCBJ Bohemian Lodge. Willa enjoyed yard work, nature, and 
wildlife. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and 
grandchildren. After retirement, she enjoyed sitting on her porch 
watching the wildlife and her flowers in their yard and the sunshine.


Willa was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Dennis, Doyle and 
Darrel Ruzicka; daughter, Georganne Johnson; brothers, Harland and Jerry
 Snider and sisters, Dorothy Crabtree and Norma Belgouvski. She is

 </figure>Willa J. Ruzicka was born August 27, 1936 in Yuma, CO to Gerald T. and 
Christina (Ernest) Snider. She passed away March 23, 2020 at her home in
 Oberlin at the age of 83. 
Willa grew up in the Yuma and Wray, CO area and received her GED in 
Oberlin. She married George Ruzicka March 10, 1956 in Colorado Springs, 
CO. They moved to a farm SE of Oberlin. Willa worked as a CNA and CMA at
 the Good Samaritan Society of Decatur County for many years. She also 
worked for a trailer factory in Oberlin, was a waitress and was a member
 of the ZCBJ Bohemian Lodge. Willa enjoyed yard work, nature, and 
wildlife. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and 
grandchildren. After retirement, she enjoyed sitting on her porch 
watching the wildlife and her flowers in their yard and the sunshine.
Willa was preceded in death by her parents; sons: Dennis, Doyle and 
Darrel Ruzicka; daughter, Georganne Johnson; brothers, Harland and Jerry
 Snider and sisters, Dorothy Crabtree and Norma Belgouvski. She is 
survived by her husband, George of the home; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vath
 of Oberlin, KS; brother, John (Phyllis) Snider of Fort Morgan, CO;

Willa J. Ruzicka

Howard Leon “Skip” Collins was born on August 23, 1945 in Goodland, 
KS to Howard Beryl and Alta Lucy (Cambridge) Collins and passed away at 
the age of 74 on March 29, 2020 in Osage City, KS.

Skip graduated from Weskan High School and proudly served his country
 for three years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War; doing a tour 
as a Radarman aboard the USS Lowry. After returning home from the 
service, Skip worked the family farm and earned his private pilot’s 
license.&nbsp; As a kid, he always dreamed of flying and he was very proud to
 have accomplished that dream. He was also an active member of the 
Sharon Springs Masonic Lodge.

In 1976, he married Karen Lee McCann and to this union two children 
were born, Natalie Kay and Christopher Ray. He lived most of his life in
 Weskan, KS until his health forced him to move closer to his son in 
Osage City.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Phyllis Hurley and
 Janice Mote, and brothers-in-law Raymond Baehler, Keith Magwire, and OD
 Mote.

He is survived by his sister Linda Baehler of Weskan; his daughter 
Natalie, son-in-law Mike, and grandchildren Lauren and Sebastian Rush of
 Jenks, OK; his son Chris, daughter-in-law Jessica, and grandchildren 
Elijah, Connor, and Colton Collins of Osage City, KS; and former wife 
Karen Collins of Tulsa, OK.

Skip was a strong, caring man who would do anything for his family 
and friends. He enjoyed fishing, took great pride in his yard, and loved
 spending time with his children and grandchildren, all of whom he was 
very proud. Skip loved the land that he farmed and the country that he 
served and he will be dearly missed.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Howard's family will have a private family graveside in the Weskan Cemetery, Weskan, KS.

Gina Byrd Tripp, age 52, passed away Saturday March 28, 2020 at the Salina
 Regional Health Center in Salina, KS.  She was born the daughter of 
Bryan &amp; Arleta (Colwell) Byrd in Osborne, KS on May 16, 1967.

Jerry Lee Hixon, 71, of Howard, CO passed away Saturday March 21st at
 his home, peacefully among family. Jerry was born, along with his twin,
 May 1st 1948 in Neodasha, KS. to Dale and Bonnie Hixon (Haines.)&nbsp; After
 graduating from Pawnee Rock High School in 1966 Jerry went on to attend
 college at Fort Hayes State in Hays, KS.&nbsp; After 2 years of college he 
then served 2 years in the US Army and was stationed in Washington D.C. 
at the Pentagon.&nbsp;


It was in D.C. he met his life-long love Sally Bierer of Connellsville, 
PA. They were married in 1970 shortly before returning to Hays, KS where
 Jerry finished college.&nbsp; Jerry graduated from Fort Hays State 
University with a degree in Industrial Arts and Physical Education in 
1972.&nbsp; His first career after college was teaching Industrial Arts and 
coaching Track and Field at Towanda High School in Towanda, KS.&nbsp;&nbsp;


In 1974 the mountains of Colorado were calling and Jerry and Sally moved
 to the place they have called home ever since in Howard, CO. Soon 
thereafter they opened Jerry’s Cabinet Shop that they operated in Howard
 until 2014. Jerry exhibited artistry through woodworking - sketching 
all his designs by hand and finishing his work with intricate care and 
detail. Many of his clients touted him as a valued artist. While Jerry 
was very well known for his skilled craftsmanship as a custom cabinet 
maker he also dabbled in various other businesses. These included Thatco
 Truss Company, Jerry the cattle rancher (for an afternoon,) the “Rocky 
Mountain Peckerhead Ranch,” an ostrich and rhea farm, a bit of real 
estate, and most recently Arlie Dale’s Jug Liquors in Salida, CO.&nbsp;&nbsp;


Aside from his strong entrepreneurial interests Jerry was known by 
clients, friends, and family as a legendary character! A merry prankster
 in his own right; he was always loaded with a bag of tricks and 
scheming for the next good laugh with a playful heart that expressed 
through an ear to ear grin. He was exceptionally known for his sense of 
humor and carefree attitude which, despite his illness with emphysema, 
he kept to his last breath.&nbsp; Jerry loved the outdoors and had many 
hobbies - RVing, waterskiing, riding motorcyles, and his ongoing work of
 stewardship on his property by the river in Howard, that he was so very
 proud of. He could often be found with his shirt off, lubed in suntan 
oil, cruising around on his lawnmower “piddling” with things as he liked
 to say.&nbsp; &nbsp;


He and Sally raised two children in Howard. He is survived by his wife 
Sally Hixon, son Chad (Angela) Hixon of Howard, daughter Ashley Hixon of
 Nederland, CO., brothers Jon (Karen) Hixon of Storm Lake, IA.&nbsp; Larry 
(Ronda) Hixon of Pawnee Rock, KS., sister Deana (Keith) Riemer of 
Lawerence, KS., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was deeply loved and
 is already missed, though his tales will live on through all who knew 
him.&nbsp; A celebration of life will be held at a later date.&nbsp; He is 
proceeded in death by his parents.

Evelyn Josephine Penka, 92, passed away March 28, 2020, at University
 Of Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus, Great Bend. She was born 
September 19, 1927, in rural Hoisington to John and Antonia (Langer) 
Stoss. Evelyn married Edward Lambert Penka October 15, 1947, in Olmitz. 
He died October 17, 2007.

Evelyn was a resident of Great Bend since 1967 moving from rural 
Beaver. She was a long time proud checker at Dillons and had a home 
cleaning service. Evelyn was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. 
Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, and enjoyed every aspect of 
homemaking, especially cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, clothing 
fashion and ironing.

Survivors include her three children, Karen Wallace and husband Ken 
of Wichita, Kenneth Penka and wife Rhonda of Great Bend and Kathy Penka 
of Lenexa; one sister, Arlene Yarmer of Galatia; sister in law, Darlene 
Stoss of Hosington; ten grandchildren, Jeremy Penka, Grant Wallace, 
Dillon Wallace, Denise Dietz, Tony Penka, Gina Calhoon, Lisa Shepherd, 
Rolla Hansen, Garin Hansen and Emory Hansen; and 12 great grandchildren 
and one step great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Edward; son, Dale; brother, Edward Stoss; and two sisters, Erma
 Schloctermeier and Leona Reichuber.

A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick 
Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore presiding. 
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Beaver. Public visitation 
will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Bryant 
Funeral Home. Public celebration of life services are pending, due to 
the Mass restrictions and limitations set forth by the Catholic Diocese,

Jean Ann Turley, age 82, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at her home in Scott City, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born on January 8, 1938 in Minneola, Kansas, the daughter of George S. and Marie A. Thomas Dauma.&nbsp; A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1948 moving from Colorado, she was an EMT, School Bus Driver and a cashier at Casper Foods until her retirement.

She was a member of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, Kansas.

On October 31, 1954 she married Melvin Q. Turley in Raton, New Mexico.&nbsp; He passed away on December 2, 1990 in Ulysses, Kansas.

Survivors include her Three Sons - David &amp; Evelina Turley of Scott City, Kansas, Nathan &amp; Jackie Turley of Scott City, Kansas, Keith Turley of Phoenix, Arizona, Two Nieces - Connie Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Kathy Wright of Scott City, Kansas, Thirteen Grandchildren, Twenty Two Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, One Son - Noel Turley, One Sister - Evelyn, several Grandsons and One Great Granddaughter.

Jean Ann Turley

Sherri Ann McIntosh was born February 09, 1964 in Hays, KS to Joan 
(Schmid) McIntosh and Francis McIntosh and passed away in Lawrence, KS 
on March 28, 2020 at the age of 56. 


Sherri spent her early years attending several area special needs 
schools in KS and TX and graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 
Carrollton, TX.  Sherri’s life challenges confined her to a wheelchair 
her entire life but never diminished her huge smile. 


Sherri had a huge personality in which she captivated everyone with her 
smile.  She loved her family, her dog “Bailey”, her caregivers, going 
out for coffee, music (especially "Sherry Baby" by Frankie Valli and the
 Four Seasons, Kansas Jayhawks, getting her nails painted blue and 
especially home visits. 


She is survived by her mother Joan and husband Pete Pickett of McLouth, 
KS; her sister Lynette and husband Mike Martin of Lewisville, TX; father
 Francis McIntosh; special niece Rachel Venn and husband Jason and their
 sons Caden and Grayson; and other loving relatives, include aunts and 
uncles and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends. 


Due to the current world virus crisis a private burial will be held 
Wednesday April 01, at the Fairview Cemetery in Atwood, KS.  A 
Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined. Memorials

 </figure>Sherri Ann McIntosh was born February 09, 1964 in Hays, KS to Joan 
(Schmid) McIntosh and Francis McIntosh and passed away in Lawrence, KS 
on March 28, 2020 at the age of 56. 
Sherri spent her early years attending several area special needs 
schools in KS and TX and graduated from R. L. Turner High School in 
Carrollton, TX. Sherri’s life challenges confined her to a wheelchair 
her entire life but never diminished her huge smile. 
Sherri had a huge personality in which she captivated everyone with her 
smile. She loved her family, her dog “Bailey”, her caregivers, going 
out for coffee, music (especially "Sherry Baby" by Frankie Valli and the
 Four Seasons, Kansas Jayhawks, getting her nails painted blue and 
especially home visits. 
She is survived by her mother Joan and husband Pete Pickett of McLouth, 
KS; her sister Lynette and husband Mike Martin of Lewisville, TX; father
 Francis McIntosh; special niece Rachel Venn and husband Jason and their
 sons Caden and Grayson; and other loving relatives, include aunts and 
uncles and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, caregivers and friends. 
Due to the current world virus crisis a private burial will be held 
Wednesday April 01, at the Fairview Cemetery in Atwood, KS. A 
Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined. Memorials 
may be made to United Cerebral Palsy or the National Epilepsy Foundation
 and can be sent in care of Baalmann Mortuary, P.O. Box 391, Colby, KS
