Patty (Windholz) Kuhn

Patty (Windholz) Kuhn, age 61, of Omaha, NE went to heaven on Friday, July 10, 2020.  Patty’s life began on February 7, 1959 in Hays, Kansas.  She was the sixth of ten children born to Ralph Sr. and Mary Ann (Schumacher) Windholz.   Patty was joined in marriage to Louis Kuhn, Jr. on April 15, 1978 in Victoria, Kansas.

After marrying they lived in Colorado Springs, CO; South Korea; Salina, KS; Sergeant Bluff, IA; Sioux City, IA; and Omaha, NE.  They were blessed with a daughter, Michelle Davis.

She grew up and attended school in Victoria, Kansas and was a 1977 graduate of Victoria High School.   As a youngster Patty enjoyed playing softball, swimming, going on hikes with her sisters and neighbors and bike riding.  She also enjoyed playing board games, doing search word puzzles and was always up for a friendly card game, with Crazy 8’s being one of her favorites.  On top of all of this she loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law, Lorene “Renie” (Engel) Kuhn, and sister-in-law, Renee Kuhn.

Survivors include her husband, Louie of the home; a daughter, Michelle and husband Josh Davis of Denver, CO; father-in-law, Louis Kuhn, Sr. of Hays, KS; step-mother, Millie Windholz, of Victoria, KS; three brothers, Julius (Susie) Windholz of Victoria, KS; Ralph Jr. (Ginny) Windholz of Salina, KS; and Mike (Melissa) Windholz of Louisburg, KS; six sisters, Wanda (Jerry) Klaus and Connie Windholz both of Victoria, KS; Paula (Bill) Thomas, Mary (Mike) Marshall, and Margaret Kay all of Salina, KS; Dotty (Dale) Legleiter of Munjor, KS;  three sisters-in-law, Jackie Kuhn of Topeka, KS; Kelly (Gary) Kuhn of London, England; Tasha (Kelly) Aubey of Phoenix, AZ; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 16, 2020 at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

A vigil service will be held at 6:30 P.M. Wednesday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, and from 9:30 to 10:45 A.M. Thursday, all at The Basilica of St. Fidelis in Victoria, Kansas.

The family suggests memorials to Denver Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC), 2149 Federal Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80211 in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.
