Joseph Wasinger, aged 90, died peacefully on April 12, 2020 in Arvada, Colorado.  Joseph was born March 1, 1930, in Hays, Kansas, the son of late Martin and Mary Wasinger.

Joseph is survived by four children including two daughters, Sheryl and Joann; two sons, Mark and Greg; four grandchildren: Amy, Jared, Easton, and Mary and one great-grandchild: Alyson.

A talented athlete in high school, Joseph attended Fort Hays State University on a football scholarship. It was there he met his loving wife of 63 years, MaryAnn. Joseph served in the United State Army during the Korean War.

In 1955, he and MaryAnn moved to Denver, CO where Joseph began his career in the Steel Industry.  He worked many years as a Sales Manager. After retirement, he and Mary Ann moved to Sun City West, AZ and enjoyed 20 wonderful years there together. He loved the desert climate and always liked to say “another great day in the desert!”  He enjoyed fishing and golfing and “going up the river” to his favorite casino.  He loved watching sports in his spare time.  After MaryAnn passed away in 2018, Joseph moved to Colorado to live with his children.
