Connie Korbe, age 68, of Hays, Kansas died Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born August 19, 1951, in Plainville, Kansas to Harold M. and Gladys (Martin) Goble.  She married Nicholas “Nick” Korbe Jr. on April 24, 1971, at Hays, Kansas.

She was a convenience store clerk for many years in Hays and Liberal, Kansas. She cooked for a few years at Kennedy Middle School and Hays High School.  She also worked at Answer Net Telemarketing in Victoria and Hays for 9 years. She grew up in Plainville and Hays and was a 1970 graduate of Hays High School.  She was a member of Hays Christian Church, and enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Nick Korbe, and one grandson, Christian Korbe, of the home; one son Nicholas “Nick” Korbe III and Sharon Weatherman, Virginia Beach, VA;  three daughters, Barbara Williams and husband, John, Hays, KS; Alicia Gregory and husband, Ham, Russell, KS; Amanda Korbe, Wichita, KS; one brother Mervyn Goble and wife, Rosemary, WaKeeney, KS; two sisters, Gail Dobson and husband, Ray, Hays, KS; Maxine Wellbrock, Hays, KS; and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Kerry Korbe; one brother, Florace Goble; and one brother-in-law, Louie Wellbrock.

Services are at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Hays Christian Church, 22nd and Marshall, Hays, Kansas.  Burial in Mount Allen Cemetery Hays, Kansas. LIVESTREAM of the funeral service will be found at facebook.com/hayschristian/live

Visitation is from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Monday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601 and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, at Hays Christian Church.

Memorials are suggested to the youth at the Hays Christian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
