STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) — Kansas State forced five turnovers in a 14-6 win over Oklahoma State on Saturday.

All of the Wildcats' points came off those turnovers. Kansas State, which had averaged 34.2 points in its previous five games, was held to 284 yards. Despite that, the Wildcats have won three of four.

Avery Johnson passed for 177 yards and Joe Jackson added 69 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Wildcats (5-5, 4-3 Big 12), who need one more win to become bowl eligible.

Zane Flores passed for 233 yards for Oklahoma State (1-9, 0-7), but he threw two interceptions and lost two fumbles. Oklahoma State has lost nine straight, and seven straight under interim coach Doug Meacham.

The Wildcats got a first down by penalty after it appeared the Cowboys stopped them on a fourth-and-1, and Jayce Brown caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Johnson on the next play. The extra point put Kansas State up 7-6 — a score that held up at halftime.

An interception by Oklahoma State's Parker Robertson early in the third quarter set the Cowboys up deep in Kansas State territory. But Flores fumbled when stripped by Cody Stufflebean, and Kansas State's Zashon Rich recovered to preserve Kansas State's lead.

Kansas State's Jackson ran 15 yards for a touchdown to put the Wildcats up 14-6 in the fourth quarter. The Cowboys reached the Kansas State 26 on their final possession before turning the ball over on downs in the final minute.

Kansas State: The Wildcats played poorly overall but showed enough grit to pull through. The timely plays saved coach Chris Klieman from an embarrassing loss in a season that began with high expectations.

Oklahoma State: The Cowboys outgained Kansas State by 89 yards, but made too many mistakes to claim their first win under interim coach Doug Meacham.

Oklahoma State visits Central Florida next Saturday.

Fort Hays State Football will wrap up the 2025 regular season on Saturday at Emporia State. The game will be the 38 The Spot MIAA TV Game of the Week, but can also be viewed as normal with a subscription to The MIAA Network. The teams enter with identical records, both at 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the MIAA.

This is the second year in a row that FHSU and ESU are meeting in Emporia. FHSU won last year's meeting when the Hornets were ranked No. 11 in the nation by a score of 36-7. The Tigers led 19-7 at halftime and then shutout the Hornets 17-0 in the second half to run away with the win. The win snapped a three-game losing streak to the Hornets for the Tigers.

The Tigers are seeking to secure head coach Chris Brown's 10th winning season at FHSU. The Tigers currently own a two-year streak of finishing with a winning mark, going 7-4 in 2023 and 8-3 in 2024.

Fort Hays State and Emporia State head into this matchup in a four-way tie for fourth in the MIAA standings. UCO is only one game ahead at 5-3 in conference play, while Nebraska-Kearney and Central Missouri are part of the logjam at 4-4 in conference play.

The Tigers are coming off a 28-24 loss to Central Missouri at home back on November 1. The Tigers had a bye week before taking on the Hornets this week. Emporia State is coming off a 45-17 win at Washburn. The Hornets are 2-2 at home this year with win over Minot State and Missouri Southern, but losses to the top two teams in the MIAA – Northwest Missouri State and Pittsburg State.

Caleb Heavner has over 2,000 yards of total offense for the year, currently with 1,574 passing yards and 571 rushing yards to lead the offense. Ryan Allen (287) and Cale Cormaney (277) lead the Tigers in receiving yards.

On defense, John Johnson became the first FHSU player since 2018 to record at least 100 tackles in a season with a career-high 17 against Central Missouri. He enters Saturday with a team-best 104 tackles and 9.0 tackles for loss. Gaven Haselhorst leads the Tigers in sacks with 5.0, while Michael Polley and Michael Chavez lead the Tigers with two interceptions each.

GREAT BEND - The 90th meeting between Hays High and Great Bend came in the quarterfinals of the 5A playoffs. The second playoff meeting between the two longtime rivals went to Great Bend 29-22.

Hays (8-3) held the opening possession for 6:47 but couldn't score. The drive lasted 12 plays and included two fourth down conversions. Three flags on the last set of downs forced a punt by the Indians.

The short punt set up Great Bend (11-0) on the Hays 47 yard line. The Panthers also converted on fourth down to keep their possession going. Ian Premer scored on a 31 yard run with 2:06 left in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.

The teams traded punts into the second quarter. Hays struck for the first time on a drive that started on their own 45. Five plays later Zane Viegra threw the first of his two first half touchdown passes. A 22 yard post route found Jarek Purdy in the back of the end zone with 6:18 left before halftime. The Carson Moore extra point tied the game at seven.

Great Bend held the ball until there was less than a minute left in the second quarter. A fourth down touchdown pass from Daxton Minton to Cooper Ochnmach on fourth and goal from the three gave the Panthers a one score lead again at 14-7.

The Indians returned the squib kick to the 39 yard line. With no timeouts remaining Hays found Purdy for a five reception and then Holden Lind burst free for a 41 yard run. Viegra then threw his own fourth down touchdown pass, finding Lind for a nine yards. Moore's extra point tied the game with eight seconds left before halftime.

Each team punted to begin the second half. However, after the ball was spotted following the Indians' punt a penalty was called that forced Hays to punt a second time. This one was blocked out of the back of the end zone for a touchback and a 16-14 score.&nbsp;

Minton found Premer on fourth and six for a 21 yard score and 23-14 lead with 55 seconds left in the third quarter.

Hays drove a season long 16 plays on the next drive. The Indians though were turned away from the end zone at the three yard line. A high snap on the next play was fumbled by the Panthers and recovered by the Indians' Johnny Rigler at the goal line. Braxton Basgall scored two plays later. Basgall then threw a pass on the two-point conversion to Lind for a 23-22 game with 5:35 remaining in the game.

Great Bend grabbed the onside kick and scored just three plays later on a 51 yard pass. The extra point was blocked for a 29-22 game with 4:00 left.&nbsp;

The Indians embarked on their final drive from their own 13 yard line. Hays drove the field with every yard coming on the ground. The drive though came up short by four yards. The Indians had first down and goal from the eight but couldn't manage a final score as the final pass was knocked down in the end zone.

Holden Lind ends his career with 357 carries 3,866 yards for school records in both categories. He ended the night with 204 yards rushing. The Indians outgained the Panthers 352 to 297.&nbsp;

SMITH CENTER — #5 Smith Center leaned on its power running game and a 97-yard go-ahead drive in the fourth quarter to outlast Moundridge 22-14 on Friday night in a 1A sectional playoff matchup, advancing to the state semifinals and moving to 11-0 on the season.

Moundridge (8-3) struck first after forcing a three-and-out on the opening possession. Quarterback Kaizer Kanitz broke free for a 39-yard gain, then scored on the next play from 16 yards out to put the Wildcats up 7-0 with 9:01 left in the first quarter. Smith Center responded with its signature ball control, marching 18 plays for 80 yards before quarterback Parker Hutchinson powered in from five yards out. The Redmen added the two-point conversion to take an 8-7 lead with one second left in the opening period.

Smith Center held the ball for 21 plays in the first quarter, while Moundridge ran just three—yet the Wildcats trailed by only one.

Early in the second, senior fullback Brant Wilson broke loose for a 61-yard touchdown to extend Smith Center’s lead to 14-7. Moundridge’s defense then settled in, forcing a fumble and two punts, but the Wildcats couldn’t convert, turning it over on downs twice. At halftime, Smith Center maintained its seven-point lead despite being outplayed in time of possession.

Moundridge opened the third quarter with its most methodical drive of the night, going 16 plays for 85 yards and tying the game on a 10-yard touchdown run by Paul Grill. The Redmen mustered only 30 yards in the quarter as momentum swung toward the Wildcats.

Pinned at their own 3-yard line in the middle of the fourth, Smith Center delivered the defining sequence of the game. Hutchinson engineered a 10-play, 97-yard drive, capping it with an 8-yard touchdown run and adding the two-point conversion for a 22-14 lead with 1:50 remaining.

Moundridge mounted one final push, moving 57 yards in 12 plays to the Smith Center 14-yard line. With one second left, Kanitz’s final pass fell incomplete, sealing the Redmen’s return to the 1A semifinals.

Smith Center finished with 295 total yards, including 261 on the ground. Hutchinson rushed for 111 yards and two scores while throwing for 34 yards. Wilson added 103 yards and a touchdown. Moundridge totaled 286 yards, led by Kanitz’s 216 yards of offense and Grill’s 72 yards from scrimmage.

HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State volleyball team picked up a huge Senior Night win over Northwest Missouri State University Friday evening inside Gross Memorial Coliseum, winning 3-1. After dropping the first set 25-14, the Tigers rebounded with three consecutive set wins (25-16, 25-20, 25-21) to secure the victory.

The visitors regained control with a series of blocks and kills, extending their lead. The Tigers' efforts, including a kill by Grace Schmedding, kept the match competitive, but they struggled to close the gap. The set concluded as the Bearcats secured the final points, ending the set 25-14 in their favor.

The Tigers never trailed in the second set, scoring five of the first seven points to quickly build a three-point lead. Five-straight kills from the Tigers, including three from Ella Goodwin and two from Gracie Rains, extended their advantage to 15-8. The team continued to apply pressure, with Gracie Rains and Goodwin adding crucial points to maintain momentum. FHSU was able to maintain the lead the rest of the way, cruising to a 25-16 victory to level the match.

The teams battled back-and-forth in the next two sets, combining for 12 ties and seven lead changes in the third and fourth frames. Northwest Missouri State went on a small run early in the set, turning a 4-4 tie into a 12-8 lead. But two successful challenges helped change the Tigers' fortune, flipping a 16-12 deficit into a 21-17 lead thanks to a 9-1 run.

The Bearcats later pulled within three, but a trio of kills from Ashlyn Reeves, Abrey Galt and Rains helped the Tigers reach match point before Rains handed the Tigers a 25-20 win with her fourth kill of the set.

The Black and Gold opened the fourth set with momentum, as Rains secured an early point with a kill assisted by Caiya Stucky Reyes. The home team built on this lead with a solid block from Cormaney and Reyes. Despite a brief response from the Bearcats, the Tigers maintained their lead, with Schmedding and Reyes contributing crucial kills to keep the pressure on.

The Tigers went on to take the set thanks to their performance serving and on serve receive, with FHSU recording two service aces and allowing no Bearcat aces while NWMSU made four critical service errors in the frame.

The Bearcats were twice able to take a one-point lead, but the home team had an answer each time. The Tigers regained control with key plays from Carsyn Cormaney and a service ace by Peyton Bergschneider, pushing the score to 15-13. Northwest rallied to tie the score three times down the stretch, but the Tigers never gave up the lead. Two Bearcat errors followed by a Reyes kill and another Eaton service ace gave the Tigers a serve at match point before Reyes threw down the final kill two rallies later.

Rains led the attack for the Tigers with 14 kills on 44 attempts. Kirsten Evans contributed defensively with 21 digs, with Schmedding matching that effort with 21 digs alongside 13 kills. Eaton was effective from the service line, recording four aces. Cormaney tallied four blocks and five kills, with Reeves, Reyes and Schmedding adding three blocks each.

The Tigers recorded seven service aces and 91 digs, demonstrating a strong defensive performance, while tallying one more kill than the Bearcats on the day, 49-48.

This will be Fort Hays State's third appearance in the MIAA Tournament over the last five years and their sixth trip overall since joining the league in 2006.

🏐 Tigers clinch postseason spot with Senior Night victory

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The ninth-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball team opened the 2025-26 season with a win over a ranked opponent Friday afternoon, defeating No. 11 Concordia-St. Paul 84-78 thanks in large part to a dominant first-quarter performance.

Junior Talexa Weeter opened the year with a 36-point outburst, tied for the sixth-most in a single game in team history and the most by a Tiger in more than 20 years (Crystal Harden, 36 points at Nebraska-Kearney, 2/24/05).

Just as they did against the University of Kansas in exhibition play two weeks ago, the Tigers (1-0) came out of the gates on fire, shooting 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the floor and an eye-popping 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from behind the arc over the first 10 minutes. Avery Lowe opened the game with a 3-pointer 22 seconds in before Weeter added another triple less than a minute into the contest.

Another Weeter trey and a long-range connection from freshman forward Kaitlin Schumann helped the Tigers to a 12-0 run midway through the quarter, allowing FHSU build a commanding 25-6 lead. CSP closed the period with two free throws to close within 25-8, sparking an 11-0 run that entered the second quarter and allowed the Golden Bears (0-1) to close within eight, 25-17.

The Tigers responded with Brooke Loewe hitting a 3-pointer before adding a layup two possessions later, pushing the lead back to a dozen. Seven points from Olivia Mortensen allowed FHSU to push the lead to 16 before the Tigers took a 14-point lead into the locker room, 45-31.

After shooting 63 percent (17-of-27) from the floor and 70 percent (7-of-10) from behind the arc in the first half, the Tigers cooled off a bit over the second 20 minutes, allowing the Golden Bears to claw back. FHSU hit 30 percent (9-of-30) overall and 14.3 percent (1-of-7) from deep in the second half, but the Tigers were able to hang on to the lead thanks to an 80 percent effort from the free-throw line (20-of-25).

The Tigers maintained their lead over the first five minutes of the third quarter, with Ellie Stearns hitting a 3-pointer to make it a 17-point lead with 15 minutes to play. But Concordia-St. Paul fought back after that point, closing the frame on a 16-9 run to pull within 10 entering the fourth quarter, 66-56.

The Golden Bears opened the final frame with a triple, closing within seven, but six more points from Weeter helped FHSU push the lead back to double figures with six minutes to play, 74-61. Concordia-St. Paul turned up the defensive pressure down the stretch, holding the Tigers to just 1-of-10 from the floor.

However, FHSU was able to take advantage at the free-throw line, hitting 8-of-10 over the final two minutes to secure the win. CSP continued to claw away, turning a nine-point deficit with 37 seconds left into a one-possession game with nine seconds on the clock. But a free throw from Weeter and two from Stearns over the final ticks of the clock helped the Tigers hold on.

Weeter hit 10-of-18 from the floor and 14-of-17 from the free-throw line while grabbing a career-high 14 rebounds for her fourth double-double. Mortensen chipped in 13 points, five assists and seven rebounds in her Tiger debut, with Schumann adding nine points. Loewe contributed nine points, four assists and seven rebounds, with Stearns also totaling nine points alongside eight rebounds and two steals.

The Tigers hit 45.6 percent from the floor (26-of-57) while dominating on the boards, outrebounding CSP 49-33. FHSU's 84 points are its most in a season opener since 2018 (91-56 vs. Southwest Minnesota State).

Fort Hays State will wrap things up at the Third Annual Central Region Showcase on Saturday when the Tigers take on Sioux Falls beginning at 2 p.m.

The Tigers will first battle 11th-ranked Concordia-St. Paul on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. before taking on Sioux Falls on Saturday starting at 2 p.m.

The Tigers are beginning the 57th season in program history with an all-time record of 1010-525, good for a winning percentage of .658. FHSU has reached the 20-win plateau in each of the last 14 seasons, the longest active streak in Division II and tied for sixth-longest across all NCAA divisions.

The next-best active streak of 20-win seasons in the MIAA is four (MWSU), while the next-best streak in DII is Drury with 12. Only five DI programs have longer active stretches of 20-win seasons, including UConn (32), Baylor (25), Stanford (23), Florida Gulf Coast (21) and Louisville (15). Fort Hays State's run of 14-straight 20-win seasons is tied with South Carolina and South Dakota State for sixth-best in all NCAA women's basketball.

Fort Hays State is ranked ninth in the WBCA Preseason Coaches Poll, making this the seventh time the Tigers have cracked the top 25 in the preseason release. The Tigers have been listed in 121 different releases of the poll, including 80 appearances in the top 10. FHSU is 185-48 all-time when ranked, including a 131-28 mark when ranked inside the top 10 and a 9-2 record when ranked ninth.

The Tigers were picked first in this year's MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll and second in the Preseason Media Poll. This is the fourth time the coaches have picked FHSU to win the league, all occurring during the last seven seasons.

This is the sixth time the Tigers have opened the regular season in St. Joseph, Mo. over the last 10 years. FHSU is 16-10 in St. Joe during the DII era (since 1991-92), including a perfect 10-0 record in neutral site matchups and a 6-0 mark inside the Civic Arena. The Tigers have played in each of the last two renditions of the Central Region Showcase, defeating Minot State and Minnesota State to open the 2023-24 season before topping Augustana and MSU Moorhead to start last season.

The Tigers had one non-conference tune up before Friday's opener, falling to the Kansas Jayhawks 90-59 two weeks ago (Oct. 29). The Tigers led by double figures after the first six minutes, hitting seven of their first nine shots to race in front 16-6. FHSU hit seven 3-pointers, including two each from Talexa Weeter and Ellie Stearns. Weeter led the way with 25 points on 11-of-21 shooting, with Stearns adding 12 points and a team-high nine rebounds.

Weeter is one of two returning honorable mention All-MIAA picks for the Tigers alongside point guard Brooke Loewe. The Huxley, Iowa native broke FHSU's single season assists record last season, leading all Division II with 233 assists as a junior for an average of 7.3 per game. She distributed 10 or more assists six times in 32 games last year.

Head coach Talia Kahrs enters her third year at the helm with a record of 53-13, winning more than 80 percent of her games over the last two seasons.

The Tigers are 49-20 all-time against current NSIC programs, including a 4-2 record during the Kahrs era.

FHSU is 3-0 in recorded history on November 14, including most recently a 71-34 win over Southwest Minnesota State in 2015. Meanwhile, the Tigers are 9-2 in recorded history on November 15, including most recently a 77-52 win over Adams State last fall.

- The Golden Bears were tied for second in the NSIC Preseason Poll after winning the league last season, finishing 29-3 overall and 20-2 in NSIC play.

- CSP earned the No. 2 seed in the Central Regional last season, but lost to Southwest Minnesota State in the opening round.

- Senior guard Lydia Haack was tabbed as a NSIC Player to Watch after earning first team All-NSIC honors last season. She averaged 16.8 points per game and hit 45 percent from the field and 36 percent from beyond the arc in 2024-25.

- Head coach Amanda Johnson enters her 11th season with the Golden Bears with a career record of 170-98.

- The Tigers are 1-1 all-time against CSP, including a 1-0 record in neutral site meetings.

- The teams played inside this same building in 2019, with the Tigers winning 67-54.

MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — P.J. Haggerty scored 23 points, Khamari McGriff 21 and Nate Johnson 20 as Kansas State built a big lead before hanging on to edge California 99-96 on Thursday night.

David Castillo added 16 points on four 3-pointers for the Wildcats (3-0), who shot 64% and made 9 of 18 3-point tries.

Chris Bell made 7 of 9 from the arc and scored 27 points and Dai Dai Ames hit 5 of 6 3s for 25 points for Cal (3-1), which shot 56% and made 15 of 28 3-point attempts. Justin Pippen added 14 points.

The Wildcats led 55-34 at halftime and were up 24 early in the second half before the Golden Bears rallied behind the 3-point shooting of Ames and Bell, who combined for 39 points after the break. Ames hit five 3s over the first 10 minutes of the second half then Bell made five in the final 4 1/2 minutes.

Bell's last 3-pointer made it a six-point game with 38 seconds left. The Wildcats made just 1 of 6 free throws in the final half-minute but a couple buckets from Semetri Carr weren't enough to bring the Golden Bears all the way back.

Kansas State shot 68% and made 6 of 8 from the arc in taking a 21-point halftime lead behind 11 points from Castillo and 10 each from Haggerty and McGriff. Haggerty went over 1,500 career points.

Cal is home against Presbyterian on Tuesday.

🏀 K-State builds 24-point lead before holding on to beat Cal 

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Major League Baseball tonight announced its First and Second All-MLB Teams. Kansas City’s Bobby Witt Jr. was named First Team All-MLB at shortstop for the second consecutive season.

Major League Baseball introduced the All-MLB Team Awards in 2019 to give a more comprehensive honor that covered the full breadth of a season, complementing the All-Star Game selections that are awarded just past the season’s halfway point. Voters were asked only to consider performance during the regular season when casting their ballots. Fans accounted for 50% of the voting for the All-MLB Team, with a panel of experts taking the other 50%.

Witt Jr. has already been recognized this offseason with a Rawlings Platinum Glove Award, a Rawlings Gold Glove Award and was named the Silver Slugger Award winner among American League shortstops.

Witt Jr. led the Majors this season in hits (184) for the second consecutive year, becoming the first player to accomplish that feat (excluding 2020) since Whit Merrifield did so for the Royals from 2018-19. Witt Jr. also led the Majors with 47 doubles in 2025.

Among Major League shortstops, Witt Jr. ranked 1st in hits, doubles, extra-base hits (76) and stolen bases (38), 2nd in slugging percentage (.501) and OPS (.852), 3rd in runs (99) and 4th in RBI (88).

On defense, Witt Jr. tied for the Major League lead among all players in 2025 with 24 Outs Above Average, according to Baseball Savant. HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State volleyball team fell to No. 16 Missouri Western State in straight sets, 25-17, 25-18, 25-22, on Thursday. The Tigers (15-12, 4-11 MIAA) picked up five more blocks than the Griffons (21-5, 13-2), totaling 11 blocks on the night.

Two early kills from Gracie Rains gave the Tigers a 9-6 early lead and helped the senior reach the 1,000-career kill plateau, becoming just the ninth Tiger to reach that milestone. Missouri Western battled back after that, using a 9-2 run to take the lead for good before maintaining that lead to take the set 25-17.

The Griffons continued the momentum in the second set, scoring the first six points to take early control. Despite trailing by as many as nine, 11-2, the Tigers didn't quit, closing within four multiple times. The Tigers matched the Griffons after the early start, scoring 18 points compared to 19 for the visitors, but the six quick points were enough to give MWSU a 25-18 win.

MWSU jumped in front early in the third, leading 5-1 before the Tigers made a run. The Tigers scored seven of the next nine points, taking the lead at 8-7. Four blocks in five rallies helped FHSU race in front, including two each from Rains and Carsyn Cormaney and two from Cormaney and Caiya Stucky Reyes.

Despite FHSU's efforts, Missouri Western responded with a run of its own, soon building a seven-point lead. The Tigers weren't finished, however, going on a 10-3 run to level the score at 20. Two more blocks from Cormaney and multiple kills from Grace Schmedding helped the Tigers tie things up, but the Griffons bounced back with a 5-2 run to finish off the 25-22 win.

Schmedding led the Tigers with 14 kills and added 10 digs, recording her fifth double-double of the season. Cormaney anchored the defense with seven total blocks, tied for the second most in a match by a Tiger this season. Reyes recorded 14 assists and nine digs, while also adding four kills and one ace. Galt contributed 17 assists and eight digs in the match.

With the win, the Griffons clinched at least a share of the 2025 MIAA regular season championship.

The Tigers will wrap up the regular season Friday evening at 6 p.m. against Northwest Missouri State, with Senior Night festivities to follow the match. Both the Tigers and the Bearcats need a win to secure the final spot in the MIAA Championship Tournament.

🏐 FHSU tripped up by No. 16 Griffons

HAYS, Kan. — Fort Hays State will play for the GAC/MIAA Tournament championship on Saturday after a 3-1 win over Northeastern State on Thursday in the semifinals. The top-seeded and No. 4 nationally ranked Tigers, now 16-0-3 overall, extended their unbeaten string to 19 matches and a berth in the conference tournament title game for a second-straight year. No. 4 seed Northeastern State moved to 8-8-3 overall with the loss.

Fort Hays State capitalized on their offensive opportunities in the first half, with Elias Ovelar Semeniuk scoring twice, assisted by Bastian Carlman and Tonnes Daland, to secure a 2-0 lead against Northeastern State. The goals came in the 13th and 16th minutes. The Tigers had great opportunities to add on, but NSU goalkeeper Jaron Noble made several crucial saves to keep the scoreline from expanding. The Tigers enter the GAC/MIAA Tournament at 15-0-3 overall for the season and ranked No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 Poll. The Tigers remain in great position to potentially host games in the NCAA Tournament as the NCAA Selection Show is set for Monday night (Nov. 17) at 6 p.m.

The Tigers are one of three unbeaten teams in Super Region 3, joining Lincoln (10-0-6) ranked second and Cedarville (11-0-7) ranked fifth. Ten teams from the Super Region will be selected to the NCAA Tournament, which begins the week after conference tournaments (Nov. 21 &amp; 23).

Four of the ten teams selected to the Super Region 3 field of the NCAA Tournament will be automatic selections, which includes conference tournament champions from the GAC, GLVC, GMAC, and GLIAC conferences. Fort Hays State hosts the GAC/MIAA Tournament this week after winning the conference regular season title, which will be held Thursday and Saturday (Nov. 13 and 15) at FHSU Soccer Stadium in Hays. Fort Hays State plays Northeastern State in the semifinals at 3 p.m. on Thursday.
