Isabelle Fern Dumler, 97, died May 3, 2020, at Country Place Senior 
Living, Hoisington. She was born April 11, 1923, in Galatia, Kansas, the
 daughter of Edd and Charlotte (Dumler) Karst. On March 28, 1937, she 
was confirmed at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Galatia. Isabelle 
graduated from Hoisington High School.&nbsp;&nbsp;

On December 14, 1941, she married Armin F. Deutsch, in Susank, 
Kansas. To this union four children were born. Armin preceded her in 
death on September 3, 1973. She later married Benjamin Dumler on 
November 24, 1984, in Hoisington. He preceded her in death on May 26, 
2006.

A longtime Hoisington resident, Isabelle was a homemaker and a 
farmer’s wife. She also worked at the Town and Country Grocery Store and
 Clara Barton Hospital.

She was a member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Leauge.

Isabelle is survived by; son, Melvin Deutsch and wife Diana of 
Lawrence; daughter, Jolene Hindman and husband Paul of Claflin; 
son-in-law, Roy Nolte of Hoisington; stepdaughter, Verna Maier and 
husband Al of Great Bend; stepson, Larry Dumler and wife Roberta of 
Dodge City; brother, Clayton Karst of Hoisington; sister, Pauline Ray of
 Junction City; 8 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and 20 great 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; infant son, Ronnie 
Deutsch; daughter, Barbara Nolte; brother, Paul Karst; and grandson, 
Michael Deutsch.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Saturday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2020, at 
Concordia Lutheran Church, with Pastor Gary Wolf presiding. In order to 
comply with the currant KDHE social distancing specifications, seating 
will be limited. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural
 Susank, Kansas.

Betty Jean Hickel, 90, died May 3, 2020, at HaysMed, Hays, Kansas. 
She was born October 15, 1929, in Heizer, Kansas, the daughter of Harry 
and Beulah (Susank) Lawrence. Betty was a graduate of Hoisington High 
School.

On May 28, 1951, she married Robert E. Hickel. He preceded her in death on May 21, 2011.

Betty was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 
where she had belonged to the church choir and the Altar Society.

She is survived by six sons; Steve Hickel and wife Dorian, Rick 
Hickel and wife Dawnya, Doug Hickel and wife Karen, all of Claflin, 
Curtis Hickel of Great Bend, David Hickel and wife Cheryl, and Kyle 
Hickel, all of Claflin; three daughters, Janell Hubbard and husband Doug
 of Claflin, June Halliwill and husband Jeffrey of Wichita, and Janine 
Dutton and husband Kirby of El Dorado; 24 grandchildren, and 44 great 
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A Private Family Graveside service will be held at this time at the 
Claflin Cemetery, with a Celebration of Life Mass to be announced at a

Aaron H. Feist, 88, of Sharon Springs, KS passed away on May 1, 2020, with his wife, Myrna, at his side at Logan County Manor in Oakley, Kansas.

Born in Great Bend, KS on January 28, 1932, Aaron has lived his whole life in Kansas, graduating from Claflin High School in 1950, He served in the Army from 1954-1956.&nbsp; Afterwards, he returned home and graduated from Fort Hays in 1958 with a BS in Business.&nbsp; Aaron received a Master’s Degree from Fort Hays in 1966.&nbsp; He was a member of the Kansas Association of Secondary Schools and Principals as a representative of Area 5.

On September 5, 1957, Aaron married Myrna Lee Rumbaugh at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hays, KS.&nbsp; To this union three children; Shari, Lois and Gregory were born. He taught for 38&nbsp;years with 25 of those years as high school principal at Wallace County High School, Sharon Springs Kansas.

Aaron was active in many civic and religious organizations, Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Rotary Club for over 50 years, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow, and the Knights of Columbus, and also taught hunter safety courses for over 50 years. His hobbies included camping, golfing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family.&nbsp;

Aaron was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Margaret; his brother, James; sister-in-law’s Carma Feist and JoAnn Feist; his son, Marc; and his son-in-law, Rich Heyl.&nbsp;

He is survived by his wife, Myrna; his children, Shari (Martin) Albrecht of Topeka, KS, Lois Heyl of Sharon Springs, KS, and Gregory (Shelley) Feist of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by his siblings, Alan Feist of Downs, KS, Don (Rita) Feist of Ellinwood, KS, Marlene Feist of Great Bend, KS, and Kenneth (Bonnie) Feist of Chetopa, KS; nine grand-children; and eleven great-grand-children, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass for Aaron will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Sharon Springs with Father Andrew Rockers officiating.&nbsp; A private family visitation will be held Monday Evening at Koons-Russell Funeral Home in Sharon Springs.

Dr. M.E. Niedens, age 88, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2020, at his home in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on January 6, 1932, in Dighton, Kansas, the son of Johnnie A. And Martha E. Bathurst Niedens.  A resident of Scott City, Kansas since 1996, he was owner and operator of Niedens Chiropractic Clinic in Scott City, Kansas until his retirement in 2014.

He was a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Survivors include One Sister - Alverta D. Fiscus of Rolla, Missouri, Two Nieces - Dawn L. Milner of Derby, Kansas, Johnnie B. Jost of Dugway, Utah, Three Nephews - Maurice D.  She was born on June 30, 1953, in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of Duane Alvin and Elaine May Harper Roemer.  Reva was a resident of Mosaic in Garden City, Kansas, since the early 1990s moving from eastern Kansas.

Survivors include her four brothers - Randy &amp; Beverly Roemer of Healy, Kansas, Royce &amp; Mia Roemer of Dighton, Kansas, Rick &amp; Sharron Roemer of Scott City, Kansas and Roger &amp; Shannon Roemer of Mission, Kansas.

Randy Lee Goodale, 63, longtime 
resident of Hays, Kansas died Thursday, April 30, 2020 at his home in 
Schoenchen, Kansas, from a long complicated medical history.

He was born August 26, 1956, in St. 
Francis, Kan., the fourth and youngest child to Max Alvin and Esther 
Delphine (Raile) Goodale. His family farmed around the St. Francis area.
 Randy competing in basketball, football and played the drums at St. 
Francis High School, where he graduated Class of 1974.&nbsp;

After briefly playing basketball for 
Fort Hays State University, he moved to Great Bend where he met Rainell 
Anderson. They were married September 24, 1977 in St. Francis. She 
proceeded him in death on March 2, 2017. They had two sons. They spent 
several years in Thornton, CO and St. Francis before returning to Hays. 
Randy went on to complete his education at Fort Hays State University, 
earning his degree in industrial technology.

In 1989, he moved the family to 
California where they lived in Moreno Valley and Riverside. There Randy 
taught at Sierra Middle School as the wood shop teacher 1989-1992. He 
often reflected on these years in California with fond memories, his 
family spending their summers at the beach and playing competitive beach
 volleyball.&nbsp;

In 1992, Randy returned to Hays, where 
he taught and coached at Hays High School for 21 years. He taught 
industrial tech classes including metals and welding, drafting, 
woodworking and small engine mechanics. Often called “Mr. G” by his 
students, he was awarded USD 489’s Master Teacher of the Year 1997-1998.
 He retired in 2013. He enjoyed substitute teaching at HMS and HHS 
during his retirement.

His love for teaching youth carried on 
into his coaching as well, coaching every level from his sons’ t-ball 
teams to high school athletics. Randy was a head women’s basketball 
coach, volleyball and softball coach for Hays High School many years. 
After his coaching years he continued to do the timing and score keeping
 for HHS soccer teams and line judge volleyball up until his 
retirement.&nbsp;

He was a member of the Hays First 
United Methodist Church and part of the Chapel Sunday School Class. He 
enjoyed serving as a host for the Sunday morning coffees.

Randy will be remembered for his love 
of sports, teaching, coaching, Bible study, the outdoors, bird hunting, 
cooking, photography, a good drum jam and his grandchildren. He loved 
spending time with his family and was a proud Papa.&nbsp;


He leaves behind two sons: Jeremy 
(Jennifer) Goodale of Hays, and Jerod (Jessica) Goodale of Hays; five 
grandchildren: Reanna, Riley, Lauryn, Lila and Anderson, all of Hays; 
and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Bracelin and Joyce Black; and a brother, Sam Goodale.

A memorial service at the Hays First 
United Methodist Church will be announced at a later date. Cremation has
 taken place and inurnment at the St. Francis Cemetery will be scheduled
 later this summer.

 He retired in 2013. He enjoyed substitute teaching at HMS and HHS 
during his retirement.His love for teaching youth carried on 
into his coaching as well, coaching every level from his sons’ t-ball 
teams to high school athletics. Randy was a head women’s basketball 
coach, volleyball and softball coach for Hays High School many years. 
After his coaching years he continued to do the timing and score keeping
 for HHS soccer teams and line judge volleyball up until his 
retirement.&nbsp;He was a member of the Hays First 
United Methodist Church and part of the Chapel Sunday School Class. He 
enjoyed serving as a host for the Sunday morning coffees.Randy will be remembered for his love 
of sports, teaching, coaching, Bible study, the outdoors, bird hunting, 
cooking, photography, a good drum jam and his grandchildren. He loved 
spending time with his family and was a proud Papa.&nbsp;
He leaves behind two sons: Jeremy 
(Jennifer) Goodale of Hays, and Jerod (Jessica) Goodale of Hays; five 
grandchildren: Reanna, Riley, Lauryn, Lila and Anderson, all of Hays; 
and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruth Bracelin and Joyce Black; and a brother, Sam Goodale.A memorial service at the Hays First

82&nbsp; of Hays, Kansas died Friday, May 1, 2020, at the Good Samaritan 
Society of Hays.&nbsp; She was born June 22, 1937, on the farm north of&nbsp; 
Catharine, Kansas to Alexius F. and Sibylla (Schmeidler) Schmidt.&nbsp; She 
married Melvin&nbsp; Pfannenstiel on January 2, 1960, at Severian, Kansas.

She was a nurse for 43 years working at
 St. Anthony Hospital, Hays; Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend; 
and High Plains Mental Health Center, Hays for over 30 years until she 
retired in 2004.&nbsp; Cora Lee was an Obstetrics-Newborn nurse, Orthopedic 
Supervisor Nurse, Recovery Room nurse, Medical/Surgical/Operating Room 
nurse, and a Community Outreach Consultant / Nurse Educator.&nbsp;&nbsp; She grew 
up on the farm at Catharine, attended Catharine Grade School and was a 
1955 graduate of Victoria High School.&nbsp; She received her Nursing Degree 
in 1958 from St. Anthony School of Nursing, and her BSN Degree in 1973 
from Fort Hays State University. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
 Church, Hays and the Hays Nursing Club. Cora Lee gave grief recovery 
Seminars since 1981, was a volunteer Red Cross Nurse, HIV/AIDS Counselor
 and Educator Instructor, and KADACC /ADAS Certified.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin 
Pfannenstiel, of the home; one son, Mark Pfannenstiel, of the home; one 
daughter, Cindy Pfannenstiel, Pensnett, England.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Matthew Pfannenstiel.

She was born August 26, 1965, in Salina, Kansas, and she attended TMP-Marian High School.

Survivors include her parents; Tom and Debbie Bohm of Hays, a daughter; Heather Tipton and husband Josh of Austin, TX, a brother; Matthew Bohm and wife Chelse of Olathe, two sisters; Sarah Mackey and husband Todd of Hays and Claire Mullen and husband Tobey of Salina, two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Della Dean Post, 94, of Russell, Kansas, died on Friday, May 01, 2020, at the Wheatland Nursing Center in Russell, Kansas.

Della was born on October 02, 1925, in Dorrance, Kansas, the daughter of Frank E., Sr. and Rachel Pearl (Warehime) Sanders.&nbsp; She grew up in Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1944.&nbsp; She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Dale R. Post on May 26, 1945, in Russell, Kansas, and they were married for 66 years.&nbsp; From this union Della and Dale were blessed with 3 children Kenneth, Glenda and Gerald.&nbsp; Dale preceded her in death on August 04, 2011.&nbsp; She worked for 16 years in the dietary and cleaning department at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kansas.&nbsp; She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God Church in Russell and was also a former member of the V.F.W. Post #6240 Ladies Auxiliary.&nbsp; She enjoyed quilting and taking care of her flower garden at home.&nbsp; Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Surviving family include her sons Kenneth Post and wife Ruth of Enid, Oklahoma and Gerald Post of Hutchinson, Kansas;&nbsp; three grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandsons. &nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, daughter Glenda Hammerschmidt, brothers William, Frank, Jr. and John Sanders; sisters Lora Lamoree, Dora Bushell, Irene Bushell Steinle, Cora Manlove and Evelyn Malson.

Robert C. Dunavan, 78, passed away May 1, 2020 at the University of Kansas Health Systems Pawnee Valley Campus, Larned.

He was born January 3, 1942 in Great Bend, the son of Ira and Mildred Walters Dunavan.

A lifetime area resident, he attended the United States Military 
Academy at West Point New York, where he was a member of the graduation 
class of 1966. He served in the United States Army and later retired as a
 Lieutenant Colonel. Following his retirement, he was a professor of 
economics and political science at Barton Community College, Great 
Bend.&nbsp; He was a member of the Pawnee Rock Christian Church, where he 
served as an elder and as the church pianist. He was a member of Gideons
 International and the American Legion, Great Bend. He enjoyed music, 
farming, and time with his grandchildren.

On June 6, 1966 he married Janice G. Hallagin at West Point, New York; she survives.

Other survivors include: a son, Brian (Karen) Dunavan, San Antonio, 
Texas; daughter, Diane (Jeff) Gibson, Great Bend; a daughter-in-law, 
Melissa (Bill) Lloyd, San Antonio, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Sheryl 
Dunavan, Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Janet Dunavan, Leavenworth; eight 
grandchildren: Channing Dunavan, Zachary Dunavan, Ian Gibson, Grant 
Dunavan, Chloe Gibson, Joshua Lloyd, Karalyne Dunavan, Madeline Lloyd;

united in marriage to Elaine M. Augustine, and they celebrated 45 years 
of marriage.&nbsp; For 13 years, he was the production manager at Sizewise in
 Ellis.&nbsp; He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in WaKeeney,
 Third Degree Knights of Columbus Council #4113 of WaKeeney, and Fourth 
Degree Knights of Columbus Rev. Vincent G. Langguth Assembly.&nbsp; He 
enjoyed playing guitar, playing card games, and pitching horseshoes.&nbsp; He
 loved helping others and was always filled with joy when playing with 
his grandchildren.

William J. 'Bill' Weber

Della was born on October 02, 1925, in Dorrance, Kansas, the daughter
 of Frank E., Sr. and Rachel Pearl (Warehime) Sanders.&nbsp; She grew up in 
Dorrance and graduated from Dorrance High School in 1944.&nbsp; She met, fell
 in love and was united in marriage to Dale R. Post on May 26, 1945, in 
Russell, Kansas, and they were married for 66 years.&nbsp; From this union 
Della and Dale were blessed with 3 children Kenneth, Glenda and Gerald.&nbsp;
 Dale preceded her in death on August 04, 2011.&nbsp; She worked for 16 years
 in the dietary and cleaning department at the Russell Regional Hospital
 in Russell, Kansas.&nbsp; She was a longtime member of the Assembly of God 
Church in Russell and was also a former member of the V.F.W. Post #6240 
Ladies Auxiliary.&nbsp; She enjoyed quilting and taking care of her flower 
garden at home.&nbsp; Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, 
especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great 
grandchildren.

Surviving family include her sons Kenneth Post and wife Ruth of Enid,
 Oklahoma and Gerald Post of Hutchinson, Kansas; &nbsp;three grandchildren, 4
 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandsons.&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her husband Dale, parents, daughter 
Glenda Hammerschmidt, brothers William, Frank, Jr. and John Sanders; 
sisters Lora Lamoree, Dora Bushell, Irene Bushell Steinle, Cora Manlove 
and Evelyn Malson.

A graveside service to celebrate Della’s life will be held at 1:30 
P.M. on Tuesday, May 05, 2020 at the Wilson City Cemetery in Wilson, 
Kansas.&nbsp; Viewing will be from 9 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday, May 05, 
2020, at the mortuary.&nbsp; Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, 
Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.

Robert J. “Bob” Rostocil passed away on May 1, 2020 in Plainville,

Bessie (Bartos) Rostocil in Rooks County, Kansas. Bob attended country 
school in Rooks County for 7 years and graduated from Palco High School 
with the class of 1951. Bob was united in marriage to Marilyn (Fury) 
Wasinger in 1952 and later married Donna Rae Horton in Stockton, KS on 
February 10, 1976. 


Bob truly enjoyed farming, taking care of cattle and raising crops. 
 He also loved spending time with his family and friends, going out to 
eat and football.  He was actively involved in the community visiting 
with others to keep up on current local events. He was a past member of 
the Kansas Farm Bureau Association, and a member of the First Christian 
Church. 


Bob is survived by his children, Cyd McElhaney (Rob) Blais of 
Anadarko, OK, Lynne VanDyke of Zurich, KS, and Debbie Cenedese of 
Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Evan McElhaney, Anna Bentley, Ben 
McElhaney, and Nicole Jennings; and eight great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Bessie Rostocil; 
spouse, Donna Rae Rostocil; sister, Leona Rostocil; and brother Walter 
Rostocil.


Bob was a good-hearted man who worked hard, enjoyed life and 
cherished his family and friends. Never one to go slow and easy, he beat
 us to the finish line, but we look forward to rejoining him one day 
when we see him again on the other side of heaven.


A graveside service will be held Monday, May 4, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Plainville City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Dick L. Warner, 64, passed away April 30, 2020, at the University Of 
Kansas Health System - Great Bend Campus. He was born on March 27, 1956,
 at Larned, to John James &amp; Jerry Ann (Sammons) Warner.

A lifetime area resident, Dick currently resided in Great Bend. He 
was a Christian man and loved music of all types. He especially loved 
spending time with his family.

Survivors include, his mother, Jerry Ashley of Larned; seven 
brothers, Kim Warner, Bill Darrow, Jim Darrow, Johnny Warner, Steven 
Warner, Paul Mulford, and David Walker; and a sister, Belinda Loomis. He
 was preceded in death by his father, John Warner; and a sister, Rolinda
 Koett.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2020 
at Bryant Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m.,

Kathryn “Kay” (Gross) VonLintel, age 76, of Victoria, Kansas died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at her home.&nbsp; She was born September 9, 1943, in Hays, Kansas to Joseph and Rose (Pfannenstiel) Gross.&nbsp; She married Allen “Dennis” VonLintel on October 20, 1962, at Munjor, Kansas.&nbsp;

She was a homemaker, farmer’s wife, worked at A Bride’s World and Werth Plumbing both in Hays, Kansas. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers both of Vincent, Kansas.&nbsp; She attended the Munjor Grade School&nbsp; and was a 1961 graduate of Hays High School.&nbsp; She enjoyed fishing, polka dancing, crocheting, cooking, football, KU basketball, her family and grandkids.

Kathryn 'Kay' (Gross) VonLintel

Helen Joan (JoAn) Hatfield, 81, of Natoma, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, April 29, 2020 in Plainville, KS.

JoAn was born in Wilson, Wyoming to Ray Matson Shinkle and Mable 
Woodward Shinkle on October 3, 1938. She married Marshall Oscar Hatfield
 on June 30, 1956 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.&nbsp; Marshall and JoAn lived 
most of their lives together in Jackson Hole.&nbsp; Though JoAn didn’t finish
 high school as a traditional student, she would go on to acquire her 
GED at the same time that her daughter, Pam, graduated from high school 
in 1977.&nbsp; JoAn filled many roles when it came to work.&nbsp; She worked in 
retail, at a bakery, as a dietary aide at the Good Samaritan Center, as a
 waitress, and held many other roles.&nbsp; JoAn was a dedicated follower of 
Jesus.&nbsp; She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in the 1970’s.&nbsp; In 1992,
 Marshall and JoAn moved from Jackson to Goodland, Kansas to be closer 
to grandkids.&nbsp; Her favorite activity was hugging babies.&nbsp; At family 
reunions, the children could count on JoAn to have a bag of candy.&nbsp;&nbsp;

JoAn is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mable; her fifteen 
siblings, Willard, Hazel, Ruth, John, Glenn, Keith, Mae, Laura, Ted, 
Robert, Walter, Leslie (Les, Dolly, Vern, and Fred, her husband, 
Marshall Hatfield and her daughter, &nbsp;Pam Hatfield.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Helen JoAn Hatfield

Allan Carpenter, son of Frank and Nellie May (Hodge) Carpenter, was born December 21, 1929, in Graham County, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, Kansas, on April 30, 2020, at the age of 90.

Allan grew up in Graham County and attended rural schools.  He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He lived in the northwest states for many years where he was a heavy equipment operator.  He later returned to the Lenora/Norton area where he worked at Jamboree Foods for several years.  On February 24, 1996, Allan and Karen Heisel Schwab were united in marriage in the Methodist Church in Studley, Kansas.  They made their home in Lenora and later moved into Norton.

Allan was a member of the Lenora Church of God and the American Legion.

Survivors include:  his wife, Karen, of their home in Norton; his daughter, Nellie "K.C." Carpenter and husband, Chetan Saswade, Morrisville, North Carolina; his step-sons and their wives, Kevin and Christine Schwab, Wellsville, Kansas; Rick and Denise Schwab, Norton; Brad and Teresa Schwab, Lawrence, Kansas; his step-daughters, Renee Minium, Pfluggerville, Texas; Tish Minium, Boston, Massachusetts; two sisters, Jackie Anderson, Reno, Nevada; and Donna, and husband, Gene Catone, Rancho Cucamonga, California; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived in the northwest states for many years where he was a heavy equipment operator. He later returned to the Lenora/Norton area where he worked at Jamboree Foods for several years. On February 24, 1996, Allan and Karen Heisel Schwab were united in marriage in the Methodist Church in Studley, Kansas. They made their home in Lenora and later moved into Norton.Allan was a member of the Lenora Church of God and the American Legion.Survivors include: his wife, Karen, of their home in Norton; his daughter, Nellie "K.C." Larry Dean Finley, beloved son of John (Jack) Finley and Doris Finley, 
passed away on Monday April 27th, 2020, at the age of 67, of natural 
causes. 

Larry was an artist, DJ, and brother to Steve, Kevin, Doug, and 
Brad. He had been accepted after high school into the Art Institute. He 
later married Paula McKinney and had a beautiful daughter, named Candice
 Mae Finley. Although the marriage didn’t move forward, Larry and Paula 
were in joyful contact in the last of their years. Atwood, KS was his 
favorite place in the world and in that lovely town there are 
uncountable unnamed people who cared for and nurtured him over the 
years. 

Larry could not have survived his ailments without the help of 
the innumerable friendships he relied on in Atwood. He was a loner who 
valued time on his own with his genius thoughts. “It’s easy to stand in a
 crowd, but it takes courage to stand alone.” Gandhi.


 He will be missed by his surviving daughters Candice Finley and Camelia
 Finley, mother Doris Finley, brother Brad Finley, many nephews, and 
sister in-laws. Larry Finley, brave in death, may you live free in the 
shining dawn forever.

Mark David Rein, 55, of Overland Park, Kansas, died on Monday, April 13, 2020, at the Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.

Celeste Munsinger passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 in San Marcos, Texas at the age of 80. 


 She was born August 21, 1939 in Oxford, Nebraska, daughter to Elvis
 and Lucile Kinney. She was a 1957 graduate of Logan High School, Logan,
 Kansas and graduated with a B.A. from Fort Hays State University in 
1962. She was a graduate of the Realtors Institute and was named 
Noteworthy Realtor by Marquis Who’s Who. 


 She married Larry Gene Munsinger on December 28, 1958 in 
Phillipsburg, Kansas. She worked as a high school English teacher in 
Phillipsburg, Kansas and in Hampton, Nebraska; served as high school 
librarian in LaCrosse, Kansas; and finished her career as a successful 
Realtor/Broker with Bob Finch &amp; Associates, Hays, Kansas. 


 Survivors include her son Todd Munsinger and his wife Janeth, 
Austin, Texas; a daughter Reneé Williamson and her husband Mark, 
Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two grandchildren Andrew Williamson, 
Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Emma Munsinger, Austin, Texas; a sister 
Melody Knapp and three brothers Dan Kinney, Jerry Kinney, and Bill 
Kinney; and several nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Larry Munsinger. 


 Services will be held at a later date with final resting place in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Mary Ann Wondra (Huslig, 82, passed away April 28, 2020, at Country 
Place Senior Living, Hoisington. She was born on March 12, 1938 at 
Fowler to Anton “Tony” &amp; Louise Ann (Maneth) Huslig. She married 
Arthur Wondra November 14, 1959 at Cunningham. He survives.

Coming from Penalosa in 1959, Mary Ann was a Great Bend resident. She
 was a RN for CKMC, Great Bend Home Health &amp; Hospice and Cherry 
Village. She was a member of the Lakeside Club, Prince of Peace Parish 
at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altar Society and Daughters of 
Isabella. She was a former member of the Cheyenne Twisters Square Dance 
Club. She took communion to the sick and helped provide funeral dinners.
 She especially loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur of the home; four sons, Kevin 
Wondra (Teresa) of Great Bend, Alan Wondra (Karen) of Wichita, Korey 
Wondra (Leann) of Hutchinson, and David Wondra (Valerie) of Wichita; a 
daughter, Kathy Walsten (Eric) of Mulvane; three brothers, Paul Huslig 
(Bernice) of Great Bend, Jerome Huslig (Eileen) of Ellinwood, and 
Charles Huslig (Marilyn) of Ellsworth; a sister, Helen Schnitter (Mark) 
of Kingman; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Axman (Doug, Brice Walsten, 
Kyle Walsten (Emily, Aaron Wondra (Kassade, Alicia Wondra, Lucas 
Wondra, Zachary Wondra (fiancé Jenna Kistler, Evan Wondra (Audrey, 
Joshua Wondra, Andrew Walsten, and Emma Wondra; four great 
grandchildren, Trysten Grant, Parker Wondra, Adalynn Axman, and Louisa 
Walsten; two step grandchildren, Sabrina Bailey (Robert, and Devin 
Holley; and three step great grandchildren, Cameron Nichols, Jordan 
Holley, and Braden Holley. She was preceded in death by her parents;

the Korean War. On October 10, 1964, he married Phyllis Smart. They move
 from England, settling in Colby, KS on July 17, 1979. Peter worked for 
Elmer Schielke, Western Sprinklers, Sahara Sand Blasting, Orschlen’s, 
and most recently, Walmart. He was loved by many and known for his hard 
work and big hugs. Peter enjoyed gardening and was a professional 
tinkerer.
