Meagan Rachelle Wilson, age 30 of Hays, Kansas died Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.  She was born April 7, 1990, in Hays, Kansas, to Ross Stuart and Cindi Diane (Chambers) Wilson.

She was an elementary teacher for two years at Western Plains Elementary School in Ransom, Kansas and she spent one year at Lincoln Elementary School in Lincoln, Kansas.  She grew up in LaCrosse, Kansas and was a 2008 graduate of LaCrosse High School.  She was a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor Degree in Education and attended one year at Emporia State College.  Meagan attended the North Oak Community Church in Hays, Kansas, was a former board member of the Ransom Library.  She was a teacher for the Vacation Bible School at North Oak Community Church, and enjoyed traveling, cooking, reading, and spending time with her nephew and nieces. 

Survivors include her parents, Ross S. and Cindi D. Wilson, of the home; one sister, Melissa Sprenkle and husband, Jake, Hays, KS; her grandmother, Julia Chambers, Jetmore, KS; one nephew, Jakson Sprenkle; two nieces, Kinley Sprenkle and Ellie Sprenkle.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Rowena (Sorem) Wilson; and James Chambers.    

Funeral services are 11:00 A.M. Monday, June 29, 2020, at North Oak Community Church, 3000 Oak Street, Hays, Kansas.  A private family graveside service will be at 3:30 P.M. Monday, at the Jetmore Cemetery, Jetmore, Kansas. 

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 E. 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the North Oak Community Church.

     The family suggests memorials to the LaCrosse Elementary School in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays
