Willis Pracht, age 68, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.  He was born on August 25, 1952, in Belleville, Kansas, the son of Delmar and Ada Gregory Pracht.

Willis began his career in Garden City as a teacher for USD-457, teaching at Georgia Matthew Elementary School. After receiving his Master’s degree from Fort Hays State University, he became the principal at Garfield Elementary and Theoni Elementary. A lover of music, he sang and played guitar across the state, entertaining people at venues big and small. He was a founding member of Garden City’s Tumbleweed Festival, booking and promoting entertainers from around the world. Willis was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Garden City where he sang in the choir and was engaged in outreach programs.

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother has 
gone home to be her Saviour. Frances Ellen Kinsinger passed away quietly
 at her home on December 1, 2020. She was 90 years old.

Frances was born January 8, 1930, in Ada, Kansas, to Roscoe and
 Mabel (Hobrock) Robinson. She was the youngest of four children. Her 
family moved around Kansas, living in Ada, Natoma and Tescott, before 
settling down in Osborne. She graduated from Osborne High School.

She went on to Fort Hays Kansas State College with her sister
 Doris. There she met a young man who would be the love of her life, 
Floyd Kinsinger. They were married on August 20, 1950. She graduated 
from college with a degree in home economics and history in 1950.&nbsp; Floyd
 was still in school, so Frances taught school in McCraken, Kansas while
 Floyd completed his bachelor's and master's degrees. They moved to 
Logan, Utah, where Floyd got his PhD in Range Sciences from Utah State 
University. Also while in Logan, Floyd and Frances had their first 
daughter, which they named Ruthann after her grandmothers.

After Floyd received his degree, the family moved to Reno, Nv
 where Floyd taught at the University of Nevada. While living in Reno, 
they had their second daughter Janet.&nbsp; Floyd's work took them to many 
places. They lived in Hays Kansas, Fairfax Virginia, and Denver 
Colorado. They even spent two years in Mogadishu Somalia. They retired 
to Hays in 1987, then moved to St. George in 2000. Floyd passed away on 
August 17, 2017.

Frances was a wonderful musician. She played the piano and 
organ, and had a beautiful soprano voice. She loved the old hymns of the
 church and was often singing while she worked around her house. She was
 the music director at several different churches and even had her own 
traveling group while living in Kansas.

Frances' faith was the cornerstone of her life. Everyone who knew her knew of her steadfast love of the Lord Jesus.&nbsp;

Frances is survived by her two daughters, Ruthann Shelley of 
St. George and Janet Hunter of Haleyville Alabama, 9 grandchildren and 
15 great-grandchildren, as well and many nieces and nephews. We'll miss 
you Mom and we love you.

Graveside services will be held Monday, December 7, 2020, at 2:00pm at&nbsp; the Tonaquint Cemetery.

Gilbert Lawrence Clevenger, 80, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City, Kansas.

He was born May 40, 1940, at Adrian, Michigan, the son of Clifford 
Wayne and Addie Mae (Gilbert) Clevenger.&nbsp; He served in the United States
 Navy from May 1959 to March 1961. He worked for Moore Business Forms 
for 22 years as well as the Santa Clara Valley Transit.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.&nbsp; He loved 
to laugh and was quite a jokester.&nbsp; On May 29, 1965, in San Jose, 
California he married Tyressia Frame to whom he was a devoted husband to
 before she passed January 27, 2007.

Survivors include:&nbsp; his daughter, Amiee Bryant, WaKeeney, Kansas; 2 
brothers, Gordon Clevenger and Gene Clevenger; 2 sisters, Ruth Cattell 
and Sally Meads; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Morris and Juan Clevenger.

Private family services will be held at a later date.&nbsp; There will be no public viewing, cremation has taken place.

Patricia Joan Armstrong, 81, died Saturday, November 28, 2020, at her Dodge City home.

She was born February 8, 1939, in Garfield, Kansas, the daughter of 
Buford and Rose Marie (Snyder) Crook. Her and her husband owned and 
operated Jones Packing.

On June 20, 1957, she married Earl Armstrong at Larned, Kansas. 
Survivors include, her son, Curtis Armstrong, Dodge City, Kansas and 
daughter Pam Taylor and husband Edward, Burdett, Kansas; brother, Buford
 Crook Jr. and wife Nancy, Great Bend, Kansas. 5 grandchildren and 7 
great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl and daughter in law, Cindy Armstrong

David Duane Carman, 77 years of age, walked through Heaven’s gates on 
December 1, 2020. 

Duane was born on September 13, 1943, in Oberlin 
Kansas, to David Phillip and Leora Frances (Leidig) Carman. He attended 
North Valley School and later graduated from Oberlin High School in 
1961. Following high school, he enlisted in the Kansas National Guard 
and served through 1968. He attended Colby Community College for one 
year where he met Norma Lee Sowers. 

On September 3, 1966, they were 
married in Mingo, Kansas. They made their home on the Carman family 
farm. Duane loved both family and farming. Their home was filled with 
love and children: Crystal Lee (Carman) Berg, Cynthia Lynn (Carman) 
Lapp, Kevin Duane Carman, Kendal Don Carman, and Kyle David Carman. Just
 as precious to him as his own children are
the sons and daughters that came through marriage: Marc Berg, 
Derwood Lapp, Sherry (Wahrman) Carman, Amy (Fortin) Carman, and Natasha 
(Edgerton) Carman. 

Duane retired from farming in 2004, when he and Norma
 moved to Oberlin to manage a small quilt shop. He worked part time as a
 dietary aide at the Good Samaritan Home for several years. He loved 
serving and visiting with the residents. He eventually transitioned to 
helping Norma full time at the quilt shop. They loved spending time 
working together to serve their customers. Duane accepted the Lord as 
his Savior at a young age and continued to grow in his faith throughout 
his life. Those left behind to celebrate his life, while anxiously 
awaiting their reunion with him, include his wife, a brother, a sister, 5
 children and their spouses, 20 grandchildren, and 5 
great-grandchildren. 
 Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 6, 2020 
at the Lund Cemetery. The book will be available to sign on Friday from 
9:00 am - 5:00 pm at Pauls Funeral Home, Oberlin, Kansas. Memorial

Nancy Anne Ottley, 59, of Moundridge passed away November 25, 2020. Her family will have a private graveside service on Monday, December 7, 2020.

Nancy was born to Kenneth and Julia (Snead) Ottley in Salina on February 22, 1961. She was a resident of Moundridge for the last several years. She was a graduate of Salina Central High School class of 1979. She enjoyed caring for children, working for several daycare centers and running one out of her home for several years. She enjoyed the company of her beloved dog Pebbles and more than anything loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud to be a Breast Cancer survivor. She was known for her love of the color purple, spending as much time as possible in her garden, and visiting with her friends and family.

Survivors include sons, Chad Colgin (Stephanie), Kannapolis, North Carolina and Kenny Colgin (Jamie), Galva; siblings, Dan Ottley (Cheri), Grainfield, Sharon Burnett (David), Salina, David Ottley (Andrea), Victoria, Julie Kocour (Mike), Atchison, Barbara Hughes (Jason), Topeka, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Susan Ottley.

Longtime Kanorado, KS resident Manuela Aguirre, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home in Kanorado on Tuesday, December 1, 2020.

Manuela was born on October 31, 1945, in Mathis, Texas, to Manuel and Victoria (Rodriguez) Garcia.&nbsp; She was one of five children. &nbsp;

Manuela grew up in Texas and on July 15, 1966, she married Jose Aguirre, and to this union, 9 children were born; Efrain, Raquel, Maria, Joe, Rosie, Christina, Emily, John and Yolanda.

Manuela enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her family.&nbsp; She also enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and working in her yard.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Jose, three sisters; Rosa, Lucia, and Juanita, one brother Ramon, one son John Judas Aguirre and three grandchildren; Danny Aguirre, Annadella Pacheco and Jose Aguirre, III.

She is survived by her children Efrain Aguirre of Goodland, KS, Raquel Gonzalez of Burlington, CO, Maria Aguirre of Goodland, KS, Joe (Olevia) Aguirre of Kanorado, KS, Rosie (Octavio) Gonzalez of Kanorado, KS, Christina Ledesma of Ft. Worth, TX, Emily (Rogelio) Bustillos of Scott City, KS and Yolanda Ledesma of Denver, CO.&nbsp; She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

Joan Marie Lindenmuth, age 68, of Hays. Kansas, died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at the Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse, Kansas.&nbsp; She was born June 6, 1952, in Hays, Kansas to Balthaser “Bill” and Katherine (Leiker) Dinkel.&nbsp; She married Peter I. “Pete” Lindenmuth on August 30, 1980, at Gorham, Kansas.

She worked at Hays Medical Center for 31 years in food services and retired in 2007 due to her health, being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.&nbsp; Joan grew up in Hays and attended Hays High School, and attended the High Plains Baptist Church.&nbsp; She enjoyed&nbsp; growing and caring for her rose gardens, collecting music boxes and Precious Moments figurines.

Survivors include her husband, Pete Lindenmuth, of the home; her son, Burton Lindenmuth and wife, Malinda, Merriam, KS; one grandson, Benjamin Lindenmuth; two sisters-in-law, Margaret “Maggie” Dinkel, Wichita, KS; Shirley Brown, Indiana: two brothers-in-law, LaVern Lindenmuth and wife, Karen, Longview, TX; and Darwin Lindenmuth and wife, Diane, Woodward, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Keith Dinkel, Laren Dinkel and his wife, Judy.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 5, 2020, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601.&nbsp; Burial will be in&nbsp; Prairie Lawn Cemetery at Gorham, Kansas.

Joan Marie Lindenmuth

Floris Dome, age 91, of Pfeifer, Kansas died Monday, November 30, 2020, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.&nbsp; He was born March 20, 1929, on the family farm east of Pfeifer, Kansas to Johannes J. “John” and Elizabeth (Kisner) Dome.&nbsp; He married Bernadette “Bernie” (Stremel) on May 27, 1952, at Lorretto, Kansas.&nbsp; She preceded him in death on January 29, 2017.

He was a farmer, a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Pfeifer, and&nbsp; served on the parish council, the Schoenchen Knights of Columbus Council #4166, the Clerk of the Freedom Township Board, a board member of Holy Cross Charities, Inc.,&nbsp;served on the U.S.D. 432 Victoria School Board, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a lifetime member of the Victoria V.F.W. Post No. 1751.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Floris grew up in Pfeifer, he was a graduate of Schoenchen High School, and was very athletic in baseball and basketball.&nbsp; He played Legion Baseball, B J Baseball, and he also tried out for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Dodgers.&nbsp; He was an avid Kansas State fan and enjoyed sports and working on the farm with his boys.&nbsp;

Survivors five sons, Florian L. Dome, Pfeifer, KS; Darrell Dome, Victoria KS; Marion Dome and wife, Susan, Olathe, KS; Stuart Dome and wife, Tammy, Victoria, KS; Stan Dome, Hays, KS; one son-in-law, Clyde Luff, Wichita, KS; three grandchildren, Andrea Hoffman (Brenton), Ashley Urban (Kole), Bryan Dome; three great grandchildren, Rhett Hoffman, Hunter Hoffman, Forrest Hoffman and one little Urban on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bernie Dome; his daughter, Brenda Dome-Luff; two brothers, John B. Dome and Leonard Dome; three sisters, Doris Roth, Gertie Brungardt, and his twin sister, Florence Leiker. &nbsp;

Floris Dome

Raymond L. “Butch” Minium, 63, passed away Monday, November 30, 2020, at 
the Sheridan County Health Complex in Hoxie, Kansas. 

On May 3, 1957, 
Butch was born in Hays, Kansas to William D. and Margie (Shipley) 
Minium. He attended Hoxie Grade and High School graduating with the 
class of 1975. He was a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) 
and a 4-H member. After graduating from High School, he attended one 
semester at Kansas State University. Butch had the opportunity to rent 
some farm ground and purchase some farm equipment; so, he moved back 
home to begin his farming career. In 1979, he met Lisa Wilson, and on 
October 3, 1981, in Gove, Kansas, Butch and Lisa were married.
 Butch and Lisa lived on the family farm southeast of Hoxie. They 
were the proud parents of two children, Cody and Ashley. Butch spent 
his life as a farmer and rancher. He prided himself on always having a 
strong work ethic, a healthy cattle herd and well-maintained equipment. 
He was passionate about coyote hunting and made many friends throughout 
all his years of hunting. He was the type of person who never knew a 
stranger and could always visit with anyone. Butch always had a smile 
on his face, and with a strong sense of humor, a joke to tell. Butch 
and Lisa loved to travel with their camper and Harley, joining friends 
every summer to visit new places. Absolutely, the most important things
 to Butch were his family, and he adored his grandchildren. 
 Butch is survived by his wife, Lisa of Hoxie, Kansas; son, Cody and 
wife Sunnie of Selden, Kansas; daughter, Ashley Williams and husband 
Chris of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters, Vicki Wagoner and husband 
Melvin of Lenexa, Kansas, Kay Shafer and husband Steve of Beaver City, 
Nebraska and Janet Johnston and companion Bill Seeney of Wichita, 
Kansas; grandchildren, Archer James and Krayton Lee Minium and Bella Joy
 Williams.
 He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Margie Minium.
 A Funeral Service is planned for Friday, December 4, 2020, at the 
Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in rural Sheridan County, 1:00 P.M. 
Interment will immediately follow the service in the Hoxie City 
Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 11:00
 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. with family greeting friends from 4:30 P.M. until 
6:00 P.M. Memorials are suggested to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk 
or Sheridan County Health Complex and may be sent in care of 
Mickey-Leopold Funeral Home, PO Box 987, Hoxie, Kansas 67740. The 
visitation and funeral are open to all family and friends. The funeral

Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired school psychologist for the Sedgwick County Educational Cooperative. Bob previously served as a Methodist minister in many communities in Western Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma. He was a member of the Hays Masonic Lodge #195, Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and Midian Shrine. 

Preceded in death by wives, Sally and Phyllis Loomis; parents, Francis and Veda Loomis; grandson, Tyler Loomis; 2 sisters and 1 brother. Survivors: son, Monty Loomis of Wichita; daughters, Terri (Wayne) Wells of Wichita and Mary (Sherfy) Kemper of Topeka; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

Robert Joseph 'Bob' Loomis

Irvin R. Schaffer, 70, of Mountain Home passed away on Friday, November 
27, 2020. He was born on June 30, 1950, the last son of eleven 
children, born to Vincent R. and Olinda Schaffer in Hays, Kansas. Irvin
 married Melanie Bisterfieldt on May 13, 1972. He worked at Travenal 
Baxter Labs which is what later brought home to the Mountain Home area. 
 He retired from Baxter Lab in 2002. He loved the outdoors and was an
 avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his two children, 
Krista (John) Stopka and Nathan Schaffer; three granddaughters: Ashlee 
Papineau, Amberly Schaffer, and Miranda Stopka all of Mountain Home; 
brothers: Paul Schaffer (Carole), Joseph Schaffer (Wilma), Kenneth 
Schaffer (Linda), Charles Schaffer (Karolyn); sisters: Virginia 
Drieling, Gladys Haugaard, Mary Gariepy (Kirk) and many nieces, nephews 
and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melanie who 
recently passed away on Sept. 28th, 2020; by both of his parents; and by
 his three brothers: Virgil, Jerry, and Dennis. Due to Covid 19, 
there will be no services at this time. A private service for family 
members only will be held at a later date.

Irvin R. Schaffer

Peggy Jo Koehn, daughter of Alex Schneider and Verna Brock Schneider, 
was born January 18, 1940, in Hays, Kansas. She departed this life, 
November 24, 2020, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at 
the age of eighty years, ten months and six days.
 On June 29, 1958, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was united in marriage 
to Ray L. Koehn and to this union two children were born. Together they
 shared forty-five years of marriage
 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and a sister Alexis Nichols.
 She is survived by her daughters, Debra Scott of Olathe, Kansas, and
 Donette Bockoven of Camdenton, Missouri; brother, Steve Schneider of 
Kingwood, Texas; Grandchildren, Amanda Scott, Stayci Bockoven &amp; 
Jerad Gwillim, Trayci Bockoven &amp; Shawn Gephart, Jennifer Moore, 
Travis Bockoven &amp; Jessica Bockoven, and Chase Harper; 
Great-grandchildren, Dayson Belk, Kristanna Moore, Bradley Moore, Ryder 
Gwillim, Jack Fahrnow IV, Talon Fahrnow, Trenton Bockoven, Avarie 
Gwillim, and Gabriella Bockoven. She also leaves behind a host of 
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will all truly 
miss her.
 Peggy was born in Hays, Kansas and lived on a farm. Later in life 
then moved to Otis, Kansas through her adolescence and graduated from 
Otis High School. Shortly thereafter she had an encounter with a police 
officer in Great Bend, Kansas — not at first knowing that police 
officer, Ray Koehn, would be the future love of her life. After wedding, 
the two lived in several areas in the Midwest such as Kansas, Nebraska, 
Iowa, and Missouri. Peggy and Ray enjoyed retirement at Pomme De Terre 
lake for 16 years before moving and settling in for the full-blown lake

 Peggy made a profession of faith and last attended Ozark Chapel 
United Methodist Church in Laurie, Missouri and was a faithful believer 
in Christ.
 In her younger days, she loved motorcycling with her husband Ray and 
was named “Evel Knievel” for many reasons. They were NASCAR’s #1 fans, especially rooting for Jeff Gordon, Jimmy Johnson and Dale Earnhart Jr.
 She knew everyone’s business and all the gossip with ALL the drivers, 
even about their wives and children. As she studied, read, and watched 
everything there was if it had to do with NASCAR. And her conversation 
piece while talking with most everyone she ran into was of course NASCAR&nbsp; related. Whether you wanted to hear it or not. She also loved great 
food, boating, shopping, dancing, and was always the life of the party 
when she had the chance to be. She lived the lake life to the fullest, 
especially on her Sea-Doo. But mostly she loved spending time any chance
 she had with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were all 
so loved by her.
 She was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her
 life and her accomplishments and will treasure the many memories she 
created for her family and friends.

was born January 18, 1940, in Hays, Kansas. She departed this life, 
November 24, 2020, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at 
the age of eighty years, ten months and six days.
 On June 29, 1958, in Great Bend, Kansas, she was united in marriage 
to Ray L. Koehn and to this union two children were born. Together they
 shared forty-five years of marriage
 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; and a sister Alexis Nichols.
 She is survived by her daughters, Debra Scott of Olathe, Kansas, and
 Donette Bockoven of Camdenton, Missouri; brother, Steve Schneider of 
Kingwood, Texas; Grandchildren, Amanda Scott, Stayci Bockoven &amp; 
Jerad Gwillim, Trayci Bockoven &amp; Shawn Gephart, Jennifer Moore, 
Travis Bockoven &amp; Jessica Bockoven, and Chase Harper; 
Great-grandchildren, Dayson Belk, Kristanna Moore, Bradley Moore, Ryder 
Gwillim, Jack Fahrnow IV, Talon Fahrnow, Trenton Bockoven, Avarie 
Gwillim, and Gabriella Bockoven. She also leaves behind a host of 
nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who will all truly 
miss her.
 Peggy was born in Hays, Kansas and lived on a farm. Later in life 
then moved to Otis, Kansas through her adolescence and graduated from 
Otis High School. Shortly thereafter she had an encounter with a police 
officer in Great Bend, Kansas — not at first knowing that police 
officer, Ray Koehn, would be the future love of her life. After wedding, 
the two lived in several areas in the Midwest such as Kansas, Nebraska, 
Iowa, and Missouri. Peggy and Ray enjoyed retirement at Pomme De Terre 
lake for 16 years before moving and settling in for the full-blown lake 
life at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Lance Walters, age 69, passed away November 24, 2020. Lance was born 
on February 14, 1951, in Manhattan, Kansas to Lloyd “Dutch” and Jan 
(McDonald) Walters. He married Pam Weigel and they later divorced. He 
then married Sandy Demel on September 25, 1987, at St. Patrick Catholic 
Church in Great Bend, Kansas.

Lance lived most of his life in Great Bend, Kansas. He owned and 
operated McDonald Tank &amp; Equipment, Inc. He began working there as a
 field hand on May 14, 1973. He worked his way up and then took over the
 business from his grandfather. Lance enjoyed working and anything 
outdoors, including riding the sand dunes, golfing and spending time at 
the lake.

Survivors include, his wife, Sandy Walters of the home; a daughter, 
Jessica Walters, a son, Kory Walters, and a grandson, Oren Walters, all 
of Great Bend; two brothers, Greg Walters and wife Gail of Siloam 
Springs, Arkansas, and John Walters and wife Julie of Olathe, Kansas. He
 was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd “Dutch” Walters and Jan 
(McDonald) Walters Hill; and a brother, Randy Walters.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorials 
have been designated to the Kansas Oil &amp; Gas Museum or Holy Family 
School Endowment Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.

Bonnie Jean Rodenbeck (Wilson)

Norton, KS resident James R. Moser passed away Sunday, November 29th, 2020, at the Norton County Hospital at the age of 79.

James was born December 5, 1940, in Oxford, NE the son of Donald and 
Esther (Hoyle) Moser.&nbsp; The family later moved to Russell where he 
graduated from high school in 1959.&nbsp; He is still recognized at the 
Russell High School for being the first state champion in Wrestling.&nbsp; He
 then attended Fort Hays College until enlisting in the US Army in 
1960.&nbsp; The majority of his duties in the Army were in Germany.&nbsp; He was 
honorably discharged in 1963.

He was united in marriage to Georgia Weinhold on December 28, 1961.&nbsp; 
To this union two children were born.&nbsp; Following his military service 
the couple moved to Norton where he began his career as a mechanic for 
the Kansas Department of Transportation.&nbsp; Following his retirement in 
1995, he continued Moser Tree Service full time.&nbsp; He retired from the 
tree business in 2007.

James held a pilot’s license and enjoyed the time he got to spend in 
the air.&nbsp; He also enjoyed restoring antique cars, working on scooters 
and motorcycles, and camping with family and friends.&nbsp; In the last few 
years he enjoyed his coffee time with his buddies and spending time with
 his grandchildren, great grandchildren and watching them grow.&nbsp; He was 
proud when he was recognized for his military service with an Quilt of 
Valor that he received.

He was a lifetime member of the Norton American Legion, a certified 
arborist, and also a member of the Cushman Club of America and Kaiser 
Frazer Owners Club.

James was preceded in death by his parents Don and Esther and a brother Donald, Jr.

Survivors include his wife Georgia of the Home; his daughter Donna 
Winchell and husband Rex of Agra, KS; son Adam Moser of Topeka, KS; 4 
grandchildren Leah Lowe and husband Donald of Abilene, Casie Bott and 
husband Clayton of Clay Center, RJ Moser and Alias Moser of Perry; 3 
great grandchildren; brother Leslie Moser of Wichita; brother’s-in-law 
Evert Weinhold of Savage, MI and Peary Weinhold of Kanopolis; 
sister-in-law Cindy Bear of Wichita; as well as, numerous nieces, 
nephews and cousins.

Cremation was planned.&nbsp; A private memorial service will be held at 
2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3 in the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 
Phillipsburg.&nbsp; The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve 
Memorial Chapel Facebook page.&nbsp; A private inurnment in the Oxford 
Cemetery will take place at a later date.

Friends may sign the book Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the City of Norton for Beautification.

James Moser

Dr. Marvin James Farr, 81, of Scott City, Kan., passed away Dec. 1, 2020, in isolation at Park Lane Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by more than 260,000 Americans infected with COVID-19. He died in a room not his own, being cared for by people dressed in confusing and frightening ways. He died with COVID-19, and his final days were harder, scarier and lonelier than necessary. He was not surrounded by friends and family.

Marvin was born May 23, 1939 to Jim and Dorothy Farr of Modoc, Kan. He was born into an America recovering from the Great Depression and about to face World War 2, times of loss and sacrifice difficult for most of us to imagine. Americans would be asked to ration essential supplies and send their children around the world to fight and die in wars of unfathomable destruction. He died in a world where many of his fellow Americans refuse to wear a piece of cloth on their face to protect one another.

Marvin was a farmer and a veterinarian. He graduated from Kansas State University in 1968. His careers filled his life with an understanding of the science of life: how to nurture it, how to sustain it, and the myriad ways that life can go wrong. As a young man he debated between studying mortuary or veterinary science. He chose life over death. The science that guided his professional life has been disparaged and abandoned by so many of the same people who depended on his knowledge to care for their animals and to raise their food. 

Marvin was a religious man. He was a lay reader at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He saw no conflict between the science of his professional life and the belief of his personal life, each enriched the other. From religion, he especially drew on lessons of forgiveness and care. Perhaps the most important comes from the Lord's Prayer: and forgive us our trespasses,  as we forgive those who trespass against us.

He would look after those who had harmed him the deepest, a sentiment echoed by the healthcare workers struggling to do their jobs as their own communities turn against them or make their jobs harder. He would also fail those who needed him the most at times, as he was still human, with his flaws and limits.

Marvin was a man of the community. His membership in the Anthem Masonic Lodge #284 and the Scott County Shrine Club mattered to him for both the camaraderie of his brothers and for the good works that they facilitated, the most visible of which is the Shriners Hospitals for Children network. Even in a social organization, he chose one that centered the health and medical care of others. 

Marvin was a family man, both of blood and chosen family. He was preceded in death by his wife Lottie Farr; son Justin Farr; brothers Everett Farr and Howard Farr; and parents. He is survived by his children Courtney Farr and Tamra Wilkens of Eudora, Kan.; Tesa Fansler of Sanford, Fla.; and Scott and Tracy Burling of Scott, La.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and loved ones.

Anna Rita Weber, 88, Ellis, died Monday, November 30, 2020, at Via Christi Village in Hays.

She was born October 2, 1932, in St. 
Peter the daughter of Bonaventure and Helen (Weber) Brungardt.&nbsp; On 
October 14, 1952, she married Richard D. Kinderknecht in Ellis.&nbsp; They 
later divorced, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 2001.&nbsp; On 
May 29, 1982, she was united in marriage to Francis “Bud” Weber, and he 
preceded her in death on November 28, 2001. &nbsp;She was a nurse’s aide at 
St. Anthony Hospital, worked at Fort Hays State University in the 
Custodial Department for 20 years, and was a member of St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church, Ellis VFW Post #9139 Auxiliary, and the Ellis Daughters
 of Isabella.&nbsp; Her hobbies included sewing, embroidery, walking many 
miles a day, and collecting cookbooks and vases.&nbsp; She enjoyed traveling 
and collecting souvenirs from the states she visited, music, and baking 
and cooking for family get-togethers.&nbsp; Most of all, she loved spending 
time with her family.

Survivors include three sons: Daniel 
Kinderknecht and wife Vicky of Chandler, AZ, Floyd Kinderknecht and wife
 Loretta of Ellis, and Brian Kinderknecht and wife Silvia of 
Brackettville, TX, two daughters: Carol Schryer and husband Mark of

Omaha, NE, a brother: Gilbert Brungardt and wife Lorraine of Hays, a

Clara Walters, and Esther Laws, a son-in-law: Kenneth Fisher, and two 
daughters-in-law: Babette and Elizabeth Kinderknecht.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 
10:00 am on Friday, December 4, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in 
Ellis with Fr. Dana Clark officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in St. Mary’s
 Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Thursday at 
Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home and from 9:00 am until mass time on 
Friday at the church.&nbsp; A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6:00 pm
 followed by a vigil service at 6:30 pm, all on Thursday at the funeral 
home.&nbsp; 

Instead of plants and flowers, the family suggests memorials to 
St. John’s Chapel at Via Christi Village or to the Ellis VFW Post #9139

Anna Rita Weber

Victoria “Vickie” D. Wright, age 74, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Via Christy St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.  She was born on August 27, 1946, in Scott City, Kansas, the daughter of George P. And Rita Marie Lauber Stratton.  A lifetime resident of Scott City, Kansas, she was a X-Ray Technician at the Scott City Clinic where she worked for 32 years until her retirement.  

She was a member of the Community Christian Church in Scott City, Kansas.  Vickie loved to knit afghans, and work crossword books.  She loved being with her children and doing things with the grand kids.  Vickie loved watching her grandson, Brady ride bulls and was very proud of him when he was singing and playing his guitar.

Vickie also loved to watch Mason race his BMX at a young age and was proud of Ericka for graduating to become a teacher.  She was also proud of Emily and Jessica for being hard workers at a young age.  Vickie also enjoyed her loyal dogs, Buddy and Skittles, and her cats.

On September 5, 1961, she married Wilbur J. Wright in Scott City, Kansas.  He survives.

Glen A. Unruh, age 78, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City, Kansas.  He was born on August 31, 1942, in Gray County, Kansas, the son of Cornelius and Alma Knoll Unruh.  A resident of Scott County, Kansas since 1943 moving from Montezuma, Kansas, he was a farmer and carpenter.

He was a member of the Scott Mennonite Church in Pence, Kansas.

On May 26, 1968 he married Charlene Unruh in the Scott Mennonite Church in Scott County, Kansas.  She survives.

Survivors include his Wife - Charlene Unruh of Scott City, Kansas, Two Daughters - Melody &amp; Brad Koehn of Scott City, Kansas, Charity &amp; Chance Koehn of Ballico, California, One Brother - Douglas &amp; Wilma Unruh of Versailles, Missouri, Two Sisters - Jeri &amp; Ralph Reimer of Lakin, Kansas, Edith &amp; Gary Koehn of Dukedom, Tennessee, One Sister In Law - Phebe Unruh of Scott City, Kansas and Five Grandchildren.

University of Kansas Health Systems, Pawnee Valley Campus, Larned.

He was born September 20, 1964, in Leadville, Colorado, the son of 
Lorraine Katherine Mitchell.&nbsp; A Larned resident since 2008, he was a 
mechanic, worked at Roth Equipment (Straub International) and most 
recently worked at Pawnee County Road and Bridge

He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his children and grandchildren
 and recycling used metals.&nbsp; Harry was a talented fabricator and 
mechanic.

He is survived by; his wife Tammy Werner – Timberman; six children, 
Tiffany (Bill) Roth, Larned, Bradly Timberman (Chrissi), Stilwell, 
Oklahoma, David Timberman, Larned, Erin (Caulan) Brooks, Jacksonville, 
North Carolina, Julie (Clint) Gavigan, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Chris
 Emrick, Colorado Springs, Colorado; a sister, Rhonda Lasha, Great Bend;
 ten beautiful grandchildren: Jared Chipman, Larned, Lane Timberman, Doc
 Timberman, both of Stilwell, Oklahoma, David Timberman Jr., Starlette 
Timberman, Wichita, Sundai Gavigan, Madison Gavigan, Hunter Emrick, 
Samantha Emrick and Erik Emrick all of Colorado Springs, Colorado and 
many aunts, uncles and cousins scattered throughout the United States.

brother, Bradley Hubble, and two sons, Harry Timberman Jr. and Mark

Harvey H. “Mutt” Delaney, 84, passed away November 29, 2020, at Pioneer Lodge Nursing Home, Coldwater, Kansas.

He was born January 23, 1936, in Ness City, Kansas, the son of Harvey
 and Esther Eichman Delaney.&nbsp; A longtime area resident, he moved to 
Burdett in 1956, moving from Ness County. He was a John Deere Dealer for
 50 years in Burdett, Kansas.

He was a past member of the Burdett school board and the Nekoma State
 Bank board; was a member of the Tired Iron club of Kinsley, a board 
member of the Santa Fe Trail Center, the Burdett card club, county fair 
supporter for Pawnee, Rush, Hodgeman counties, was an air plane and 
helicopter pilot, enjoyed fishing, being the limo driver, traveling and 
was an avid dime player.

On January 9, 1955, he married Barbara Ann Eichenberger in Scott City.&nbsp; She passed away January 29, 2019.

Survivors include; two sons, Jeff Delaney (Lynette), Larned and Jim 
(Kay) Delaney, Burdett; a daughter, Lori Ann Woods (Mike Conner), 
McCracken; a sister, JoAnn Rohr, Kansas City area; fourteen 
grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a brother Jack Delaney and a sister Faye Brown.

A private family service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December
 8, 2020, at Beckwith Mortuary with pastor Doug Ellison presiding.

&nbsp;Jose Jesus Marquez, 74, died Wednesday November 25, 2020, at his home in
 Leoti, Kansas. He was born February 16, 1946, in Temosachic Chihuahhua, 
Mexico, the son of Pedro and Celsa Marquez. He married Elvia Varela on 
May 8, 1967. 
Jose was a hardworking man having devoted more than 40 years to his 
career at Whitham’s Feedyard where he ran the mill. Family and working 
to provide for his family were the most important things to him. 
He is survived by his Wife- Elvia Marquez of the home, Sons- Enrique 
Marquez of Garden City, Cesar Marquez of Florida, Jose Marquez of Leoti,
 Daughter- Noemi Marquez of Leoti, 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild, 5
 Sisters, and 2 Brothers. 
He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers.

Joseph Anthony “Joe” Brungardt, age 56, of Victoria, Kansas, died Sunday, November 29, 2020, at his home in Victoria, Kansas. He was born June 13, 1964, at Hays, Kansas, to Dr. Joseph Balthaser Brungardt OD and Margaret Ann (Burton).&nbsp;

He owned and operated the Sand Plum Lodge and the Sand Plum Nature Trail both in&nbsp; Victoria.&nbsp; He also worker for The Basilica of St. Fidelis as a maintenance worker for 10 years.&nbsp; He was engaged in farming until 2005.&nbsp; He worked in Wichita, Kansas in the aircraft industry for a few years before returning home to Victoria.&nbsp; He was a 1982 graduate of Victoria High School and a1987 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor’s&nbsp; Degree in Industrial Education.&nbsp; He was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis and Victoria Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Ann Brungardt, of the home; Charles Brungardt, of the home; Dan Brungardt and wife, Janet, Benton, KS; Al Brungardt and wife, Brenda, Augusta, KS; three sisters, Julie Weber and husband, Mitch, Hays, KS;&nbsp; Laurie Fajardo and husband, John, Augusta, KS; Sister Mary Elizabeth Brungardt C.P., Ellisville, MO: and many nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Joseph Balthaser Brungardt OD and an infant sister, Catherine Mary Brungardt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 4, 2020, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.&nbsp; Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.

He was born June 13, 1964, at Hays, Kansas, to Dr. Joseph Balthaser Brungardt OD and Margaret Ann (Burton).&nbsp;He owned and operated the Sand Plum Lodge and the Sand Plum Nature Trail both in&nbsp; Victoria.&nbsp; He also worker for The Basilica of St. Fidelis as a maintenance worker for 10 years.&nbsp; He was engaged in farming until 2005.&nbsp; He worked in Wichita, Kansas in the aircraft industry for a few years before returning home to Victoria.&nbsp; He was a 1982 graduate of Victoria High School and a1987 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor’s&nbsp; Degree in Industrial Education.&nbsp; He was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis and Victoria Knights of Columbus.Survivors include his mother, Margaret Ann Brungardt, of the home; Charles Brungardt, of the home; Dan Brungardt and wife, Janet, Benton, KS; Al Brungardt and wife, Brenda, Augusta, KS; three sisters, Julie Weber and husband, Mitch, Hays, KS;&nbsp; Laurie Fajardo and husband, John, Augusta, KS; Sister Mary Elizabeth Brungardt C.P., Ellisville, MO: and many nephews and nieces.He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Joseph Balthaser Brungardt OD and an infant sister, Catherine Mary Brungardt.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, December 4, 2020, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas.&nbsp; Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.A vigil service and a Knights of Columbus rosary will be at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis. &nbsp;Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, and from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M.
