Dorothy L. Mitchell, 94, of Alton, KS passed away on Saturday September 18, 2021 at Parkview Care Center in Osborne, KS. She was born on June 23, 1927 to Roy & Josephine (Charleville) Mitchell of Mitchell, Illinois.
Dorothy graduated from high school and graduated from college. She was a Physical Education teacher for 32 years at the Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois. She attended the First Presbyterian Church.
In 2009, Dorothy moved to Alton, KS to be near family. She helped with the local library in Alton and enjoyed participating in quilting with the ladies at the church in Alton.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by a niece, Mary Hartzler, of Alton, KS.
