🏀 Tiger women knock off Sioux Falls

MITCHELL, S.D. - The Fort Hays State wrestling team competed at the Dakota Wesleyan Open on Saturday (Nov. 12). Six Tigers placed at their individual weights, including one second-place, two fourth-place, one fifth-place, and two sixth-place finishers. <a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/tereus-henry/7220">Tereus Henry</a>&nbsp;brought home the best finish for the Tigers claiming second at 197 pounds. Henry started out strong with a first period fall in his first match and a 16-1 technical fall in his second match. He then picked up a pair of major decisions (12-2, 15-7) on his way to the finals. In the championship, Henry faced Max Ramberg of Augustana. It was a hard fought match on both sides, but Ramberg came out on top in a 3-2 decision. <a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/cody-hicks/7222">Cody Hicks</a>&nbsp;(157) and&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/cade-lindsey/7240">Cade Lindsey</a>&nbsp;(174) claimed fourth at their respective weights. Hicks drew a bye in the opening round and picked up a 9-5 decision in the next round before falling to Connor Simmonds of Augustana by technical fall. He worked his way through the backside of the bracket to the consolation semifinals. Hicks advanced to the third-place match with a 5-2 decision over Blake Legred of St. Cloud State. Upon reaching the placement match, both wrestlers competing reached their maximum number of matches allowed for the day. Lindsey advanced to the quarterfinals via an 18-0 technical fall and a 12-0 major decision, but fell to Jacob Tvinnereim in a 3-2 decision. Lindsey worked his way to the third-place match where he would have faced Tvinnereim again, but the match was declared a no contest. <a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/mason-turner/7231">Mason Turner</a>&nbsp;claimed&nbsp;fifth-place in his return to the mat for the Tigers at 133 pounds. Turner started out with a pair of first-period falls to reach the quarterfinals where he lost by fall to Sam Spencer of St. Cloud State. Turner then wrestled his way to the consolation semifinals with a 15-0 technical fall and a 16-4 major decision, but had to medically forfeit the match sending him o the fifth-place match. He claimed fifth via no contest.

<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/cason-lindsey/7227">Cason Lindsey</a>&nbsp;(157) and&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/wrestling/roster/blayze-standley/7230">Blayze Standley</a>&nbsp;(165) finished in sixth-place at their respective weights. Competing unattached, Lindsey drew a bye in the opening round before advancing to the quarterfinals where he fell via sudden victory 10-6. He then advanced to the consolation semifinals with a pair of decisions, but dropped his final two matches. Standley also drew a first-round bye before advancing to the quarterfinals. He defeated Joseph Kallevig via sudden victory 3-1 to reach the semifinals. In his semifinal match he fell in a 3-1 sudden victory to shuffle to the backside of the bracket where he dropped his next two matches.

The Tigers will be back in action next weekend at the Younes Hospitality Open on Saturday (Nov. 19). Action is slated to begin at 9 a.m.

PITTSBURG, Kan. – Pittsburg State became the third MIAA school to complete a perfect regular season since the 11 conference-game model was adopted in 2014, joining Fort Hays State and Northwest Missouri State, by topping Fort Hays State 35-14 on Saturday. The Gorillas moved to 11-0 and prepare for the NCAA playoffs, while the Tigers finished their season at 3-8.

Fort Hays State produced the first score with a touchdown on the opening drive of the game.&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/football/roster/jack-dawson/6719">Jack Dawson</a>&nbsp;scrambled along the right sideline and dove for the pylon on a 10-yard run, putting the Tigers up 7-0 after a 12-play, 67-yard drive. The Gorillas responded with a 12-play drive of their own, going 59 yards to pick up a 2-yard touchdown run by Caleb Lewis. Both drives chewed up over 12 total minutes on the clock and the score was knotted at 7-7 after one quarter. Pittsburg State took the lead early in the second quarter on a 29-yard touchdown pass from Chad Dodson Jr. to Kolbe Katsis. But that was all the scoring for either team in the frame as the Gorillas held a 14-7 advantage at halftime.

The Gorillas widened their lead in the third quarter by scoring a pair of touchdowns and holding the Tigers without a first down and just eight yards of total offense. Antwan Squire had a two-yard touchdown run and Dodson Jr. found Jamahl Horne on a 7-yard pass for the other score. The Gorillas went on to score its fifth touchdown without an answer from the Tigers on a 1-yard run by Cleo Chandler Jr. early in the fourth quarter. 🏈 Tigers fall short at No. 5 Pittsburg State

No. 23 Kansas State visits defending Big 12 champion Baylor in a matchup that will leave the winner in better position to make the conference title game. The Wildcats and Bears go into Saturday night's game tied with No. 18 Texas for second behind undefeated and fourth-ranked TCU. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs were trying to put away the Tennessee Titans in overtime last weekend when Carlos Dunlap and Chris Jones reached the quarterback at the same time, dragging Malik Willis to the turf for a sack.

The decision by a stats keeper in the press box high above Arrowhead Stadium left the 33-year-old Dunlap with 99 1/2 for his career, and kept him from joining the exclusive 100-sack club by that half-sack that went to his teammate.

“I was thinking it was a full sack for me!” Jones said, when asked whether Dunlap should have received full credit. “I'm not greedy or anything like that. I'm just saying, I was thinking it was a full sack.”

Jones said it all with a smile, and for good reason: Dunlap has become one of the more popular players in the locker room in less than a season in Kansas City. His personality fits perfectly with the happy-go-lucky attitude of the rest of the team, and his play on the field — especially with starter Frank Clark serving a two-game suspension — has been invaluable.

Dunlap finished with 1 1/2 sacks against the Titans, and he has 3 1/2 this season, leaving the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher chasing the century mark when the Jaguars visit Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.

“They just don't give out sacks round here,” Jones said. “You know what I mean? That's special, man. Guys play a long time in this league and never achieve that type of accomplishment, so kudos to him.”

There have only been 40 players to reach 100 sacks since the NFL began recording the statistic in 1982. The list includes 13 players that have been voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame — luminaries of the game such as Reggie White, Bruce Smith and Kevin Greene — and players such as Julius Peppers and Terrell Suggs that could be there soon.

Dunlap is eighth among active players; Von Miller leads that list with 122 1/2 sacks with the Broncos, Rams and Bills.

“That's not my sole goal," Dunlap said of reaching the century mark, "but that's just a milestone and something that I told my dad that I was going to do, so it's important to me to get that done. I need 108 or 110 to be in that legendary-type of conversation, top 50 ever and stuff like that, so those are real goals.

"But I promised by dad that I was going to do 100 and obviously losing him this year, getting that 100 this season is important to me."

Dunlap began the season playing less than half of defensive snaps, but the number has steadily increased as he has gotten more comfortable in coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's system. He played a season-high 46 against the 49ers before the Chiefs had their bye, then played a season-high for percentage of snaps in Sunday night's win over the Titans.

That coincided with Clark serving the first game of his suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

“He played solid. Those (sacks) are key moments and big plays, and we always want guys making big plays,” Spagnuolo said, “(but) Carlos played solid in the other parts of the game that you don't normally see.”

Dunlap got his 1 1/2 sacks against run-oriented Tennessee despite Willis throwing just 16 passes in the game. He figures to get more opportunities — and maybe that half-sack he needs — against the Jaguars' Trevor Lawrence on Sunday.

“I'm a firm believer you let those things take care of themselves,” Spagnuolo said. “I hope he gets it and more. I hope he doesn't get to 100 and stops there. But I do hope he accomplishes it in the next game.”

HAYS - Hays High set a school record for wins following a 49-12 over Salina Central in the 5A Quarterfinals at Lewis Field Stadium on Friday night.

Salina Central pinned Hays against the end zone after the Mustangs 10th punt of the season. The Indians first drive covered the 99-plus yards in 14 plays and was capped by a Bryce Salmans four yard run with :03 left before halftime. The extra point by Teegan Turnbull set a school record for extra points made in a season at 40 and a 7-0 lead for Hays.

Evan Lind forced a fumble and Wyatt Waddell recovered it on the next Mustang series giving Hays the ball at the Central 34 yard line. Malik Bah scored from less than a yard out and a 14-0 advantage.

Central drove into Hays territory but lost the ball on downs after an Evan Lind fourth down sack. Hays though couldn't take advantage after a holding penalty called back a touchdown run by Kyreese Groen and left the game 14-0 at halftime.

Hays created separation in the third quarter by outscoring Central 28-6. The Indians scored on their first two drives, both Groen rushes. The first score from 56 yards away made the score 21-0 and the second from 11 yards for a 28-0 advantage.

Central scored the first touchdown on a 4th and 10 pass with 5:26 left in the 3rd quarter but missed the extra point at 28-6.&nbsp;

Hays answered back on a five yard drive capped by a Bah 7 yard run. Evan Lind closed out the third quarter with a pick six for a 42-6 lead with :01 left in the frame.

Central scored on a 53 yard run in the fourth and Hays finished the scoring on a 2 yard Groen run for the final of 49-12.

Hays improves to 10-1 behind 433 yards of rushing offense. The ten wins is a school record. Bah had 222 yards on 22 carries while Groen totaled 138 yards on 17 rushes. The Indians finished with 463 yards. 

Salina Central lost starting running back Kenyon McMillan early in the game and finished with 262 yards total, 121 on the ground and 141 through the air. The Mustangs finish at 8-3.

Hays will face Maize in the semi-finals next Friday in Maize. The Eagles beat Hutchinson 21-14. Maize is undefeated at 11-0 and is the #1 seed in 5A West.&nbsp;

The 12th game of Hays' season next week will set a school record and will be the teams third ever appearance in the semi-finals.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Third-ranked Fort Hays State women's basketball hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter and led by as many as 11 in the first half before Augustana stormed back in the second half, outscoring the Tigers by 12 points after the break to win by three Friday evening in the opener of the Courtyard Sioux Falls Tip-Off Classic, 62-59. 

The Tigers (1-2) hit 50 percent from the floor in the first quarter and better than 40 percent in the fourth quarter, but a field-goal percentage of 25 percent across the second and third quarters gave the Vikings (1-0) the chance to fight in front.

True freshmen&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/brooke-loewe/6850">Brooke Loewe</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/ellie-stearns/6851">Ellie Stearns</a>&nbsp;helped the Tigers take control in the first quarter, with each scoring six of FHSU's 19 points. Loewe buried both of her attempts from behind the arc while Stearns hit one triple before converting on a 3-point play. The Tiger defense poked away four steals while holding Augustana to 28.6 percent shooting in the opening period, giving FHSU a 19-12 advantage after 10 minutes. The Tigers led by two entering the final quarter, 41-39, but Augustana scored the first seven points of the final frame to take the lead for the first time all afternoon. Another Loewe 3-pointer thwarted the Viking run and a jumper from Stearns tied things up at 46 with just under six minutes to play, but Augustana responded with a triple of their own on the very next possession to take the lead for good. FHSU stayed within one possession until the two-minute mark when another Viking 3-pointer and a layup off a turnover gave Augustana a seven-point lead.&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/whitney-brown/6853">Whitney Brown</a>&nbsp;scored five points down the stretch for the Tigers to make it a one possession game, but her final points came with just one-tenth of a second remaining on the clock. 🏀 Tiger women fall to Augustana

WEATHERFORD, Okla. – The Fort Hays State men's basketball team rallied from a 17-point second half deficit but their comeback bid fell short in a 59-56 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma State Friday evening at the Pioneer Cellular Events Center. 

The Tigers (0-1) trailed by 16 at halftime and were down 17 with 18:42 to play before putting together a 19-3 run to cut the lead to 43-42. The Bulldogs (1-0) scored six straight, five on one possession, to go up seven but the Tigers rallied again to pull within one with 5:17 to play. They would grab a brief one-pioint lead on a Gabe Pieschl stick back with 2:53 to go.

The Bulldogs hit eight straight free throws down the stretch to keep the Tigers at bay. FHSU missed a couple of shots in their final two possessions including a three from Haggan Hilgendorf at the horn.&nbsp;&nbsp; Both teams struggled out of the gate offensively with only five combined points were scored in the first five and a half minutes. The Tigers led 9-8 seven minutes into the contest but saw the Bulldogs close the first half on a 29-12 run and trailed 37-21 at the half.

Kaleb Hammeke&nbsp;led the Tigers with 12 points. Elijah Nnanabu and Gabe Pieschl both added 10. Pieschl hauled in a career-high 13 rebounds and Evansville transfer&nbsp;<a href="https://fhsuathletics.com/sports/mens-basketball/roster/iyen-enaruna/6907">Iyen Enaruna</a>&nbsp;pulled down 10 in his Tiger debut. Kamden Gipson and Ben Smith both scored 13 to lead SWOSU who snapped a four-game losing streak to the Tigers. UP NEXT

LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Kansas did exactly what was expected of the nation's No. 5 team when the defending national champions played Omaha and North Dakota State to open the season: win in routs.

The stakes are about to get a whole lot higher with Duke awaiting in the Champions Classic.

Jalen Wilson had 21 points and nine rebounds, Gradey Dick added 12 points and MJ Rice scored 10 in his college debut on Thursday night, helping the high-flying Jayhawks roll to a 82-59 victory over the Bison in their final dress rehearsal before facing the No. 7 Blue Devils in Indianapolis.

“We're just trying to get better,” said Jayhawks assistant Norm Roberts, who handled his second game in place of suspended coach Bill Self. “It's not about who we're playing. We're talking about how we can improve as a basketball team. We're still a long way from where we're going to be. We're gaining on it. We're getting better.”

It was hard to see any flaws in the first half Thursday night. Kansas built a 48-19 lead before coasting to the victory.

Grant Nelson had 11 points to lead North Dakota State (0-2). Boden Skunberg scored 10.

“Shame on me if I don’t recognize what success looks like, and that’s a product of success over there,” Bison coach David Richman said. “That’s what we talked to our guys about: There are no secrets. Those guys play their tails off, they look like men, they’re unselfish. That’s a fun group to watch as you’re scouting them. Not a very fun group to play.”

North Dakota State gave the Jayhawks all they could handle when they met in December 2020 in Allen Fieldhouse, leading for more than 28 minutes only for the Jayhawks to score the final seven points and eke out a four-point win.

It wasn't nearly as close Thursday night.

Wilson got off to a hot start, scoring 17 points in the first half, and Rice provided some additional energy with a high-flying dunk after missing the Jayhawks' opening win over Omaha with a back injury earlier in the week.

“I've been dreaming about this for a long time,” Rice said. “When I finally got the opportunity, it was like, ‘Wow.'”

But it wasn't until Wilson's bucket with about 12 minutes to go that the game got out of hand.

Kansas proceeded to score 10 straight points, highlighted by Rice's ally-oop dunk, and the run stretched to 13-2 on a 3-pointer by Joseph Yesufu. And when the Bison finally got a bucket, Yesufu answered with another 3, triggering another 11-0 run that gave the Jayhawks a 40-16 lead by the under-4 minute media timeout.

“Coming into the game, right out of the gate, you want to establish yourself to the opponent,” said Ernest Udeh Jr. who had eight points and four boards. “Right out of the gate you want to establish yourself to the opponent: ‘We mean business.'”

The Jayhawks shot 56% from the field in the first half, helped by four ally-oop dunks, while the Bison resorted to shooting desperation 3-pointers late in the shot clock. Twenty of their 28 shots in the first half came from beyond the arc.

The Bison outscored Kansas in the second half, though much of it came against the Jayhawks' bench.

“We have great big expectations in our program that in March we're competing against Arkansas or Kansas,” Richman said, “and hopefully these are great learning experiences for us.”

The Jayhawks were brutally efficient on offense, but they really shined on defense. Texas Tech transfer Kevin McCullar Jr. has lived up to his billing as a perimeter stopper, and KJ Adams Jr. and Udeh dominated the paint. North Dakota State was just 9 of 32 from beyond the arc and the Jayhawks scored 22 points off turnovers.

While the Jayhawks head to Indianapolis to face the Blue Devils in one of the marquee nonconference games of the season on Tuesday night, the Bison travel back to Fargo for their home opener against Pacific on Sunday.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Doug Pederson will always feel indebted to Chiefs coach Andy Reid for the way his career played out.

Both the playing one and the coaching one.

It was Reid who gave Pederson, then a backup quarterback for the Packers, an opportunity to be an NFL starter with the Eagles. And years later, it was Reid who welcomed Pederson back to Philadelphia as an offensive quality control coach, a job that would serve as the jumping-off point for his rise to become head coach, first of the Eagles and now the Jaguars.

“I owe a lot to Coach Reid and the things he taught me,” Pederson said this week. “When I became coordinator there in Kansas City, we spent so much time together, in meetings and one-on-one, and everything about him is pouring himself into other people. He did that with me and prepared me for my first job in Philadelphia, and that went a long way, and now here in Jacksonville, taking some of the same things I learned from him and applying them here.”

The two remain close, talking often during the season. But those phone calls and text messages will stop this week as the&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/new-york-giants-las-vegas-raiders-jacksonville-jaguars-nfl-sports-14d9d5c2aac09b252ef8ec179977761a">Jaguars prepare to visit the Chiefs</a>&nbsp;on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

It will be the second matchup between mentor and pupil — Reid won the first when the Chiefs beat the Eagles on Sept. 17, 2017. In fact, the Kansas City coach is 17-9 when facing former assistants as head coaches.

“He's a good friend,” Reid said of Pederson, “and I think&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/jacksonville-jaguars-las-vegas-raiders-nfl-sports-099200e6640f22316af44831e7eddfb9">he's doing a heck of a job down there</a>. The players have bought into what he's teaching. They're well-coached and you know what? They have good players and they play very hard.”

Pederson won't be the only familiar face on the opposing sideline.

Jaguars quarterbacks coach Mike McCoy played for Reid with the Packers in the '90s, defensive coordinator Mike Caldwell played for and coached under him in Philadelphia and defensive assistant Bob Sutton was his first coordinator in Kansas City.

So yes, even though it's been seven years since Reid and Pederson worked together, there is a certain familiarity between the two coaching staffs. And that makes their preparation a little more complicated than usual.

“I have to ask,”&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/kansas-city-chiefs-tennessee-titans-las-vegas-raiders-nfl-sports-08fde1dae8169b39c1ae5e6bde21b7ee">Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said</a>, “because I wasn't here with Doug — he left right before I got here — 'Do we need to change code words, change things up, so he doesn't have any intel on the stuff we're trying to run?'”

Reid and Pederson both acknowledged this week that the Kansas City offense maintains its roots in the West Coast system. But it has changed dramatically from the days when Pederson was orchestrating it with Alex Smith under center to the present, where offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy has Mahomes putting up record-setting numbers.

He set new Chiefs marks last week for completions and attempts,&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/kansas-city-chiefs-tennessee-titans-nfl-sports-c26483062162687386394c1a542336ce">going 43 of 68 for 446 yards</a>&nbsp;in a 20-17 overtime victory over the Titans.

“Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, they just win. They get it done when they need to,” Jacksonville safety Andrew Wingard said, “and I think we're starting to trend in that direction. It will be a good test. If you’re going to contend in the AFC, you’re going to have to go play Kansas City in January, February when it’s cold and stuff, so it’ll be a great challenge.”

The Jaguars rallied from a 17-point deficit last week to beat the Las Vegas Raiders 27-20.

Kansas City has won 10 straight November games, a streak that began on Nov. 18, 2019, with a win over the Chargers. Part of the reason is the play of Mahomes, who is 12-2 as the starting quarterback. He has thrown 37 touchdown passes and nine interceptions during his second-best month statistically behind September.

Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman has been dealing with an abdominal injury during what has been perhaps the most productive three-game span of his career. He has touchdown catches in each game, and five TDs total over that period, and he's given the Kansas City offense a different dynamic with his ability to stretch fields on jet sweeps.

Wide receiver Kadarius Toney could have been on the visiting sideline Sunday. Ex-Jaguars coach Urban Meyer badly wanted to draft Toney with the 25th pick in 2021, but the former Florida standout went to the Giants five spots earlier. His first 18 months in New York were mostly a bust, prompting the Giants to trade him to Kansas City last month.

The Jaguars selected former Clemson running back Travis Etienne at No. 25 instead. He ranks sixth in the NFL in rushing and has been Jacksonville’s top offensive threat.

The Chiefs ran for 77 yards last week against Tennessee. Mahomes had 63 of them on scrambles. The other 14 yards came on 13 carries from their trio of running backs. None of them had a longer carry than 3 yards.

Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence doesn’t miss many prime-time Chiefs games, and there have been a bunch already this season. He tunes in for one reason: Mahomes. And Lawrence is always taking notes.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Patrick Mahomes said Wednesday that his right arm was feeling just fine after setting Kansas City Chiefs records for pass attempts and completions in last weekend's come-from-behind overtime win over the Tennessee Titans.

That doesn't mean he wants to do it again.

Mahomes was 43 of 68 for 446 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the 20-17 victory, and he even ran for the tying touchdown and 2-point conversion late in regulation. It was the most passes Mahomes, who was known for his high volume at Texas Tech, had thrown in an NFL game by 14 and beat his highest completion total by six.

“The game got a little out of hand as far as throwing the ball a little more than we wanted to,” Mahomes acknowledged, “but it called for that. You've seen in some games we've had to run it a lot. It's something you have to do as an offense in order to succeed in this league. You have to be able to do both.”

Yet the Chiefs totally abandoned the run against the Titans, whose defensive front is among the league's best. Their running backs combined to run 13 times for 14 yards as the Chiefs ran 91 offensive plays, one off their franchise record.

Only two players in NFL history have attempted more passes in a game: Drew Bledsoe of the Patriots went 45 of 70 for 426 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions against the Vikings on Nov. 13, 1994, and Vinny Testaverde was 36 of 69 for 481 yards with two touchdowns and three picks against the Ravens on Dec. 24, 2000.

Only three players — Bledsoe, Ben Roethlisberger and Jared Goff — have completed more passes in an NFL game.

“I knew we had a lot of plays, period,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. “Look, we're going to do what we needed to do to win the game. That's what we felt. That's how we went about it. The run game was going, we would have done more with the run game. The pass game stalled a little in the middle, but we picked it up after that.”

Yet despite dropping back roughly 80 times, taking into account penalties, Mahomes said he didn't do anything out of the ordinary in his recovery as the Chiefs turned their attention to Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Ever since I've been young,” he said, “I never really got sore, even when I pitched when I was younger. We do stuff with my trainers, but other than that, I just try to keep my arm strength up and keep rolling.”

Mahomes is the most famous product of the “Air Raid” system designed by Mike Leach and implemented again by Kliff Kingsbury at Texas Tech. But even during those heady days with the Red Raiders, when Mahomes had 12 games where he attempted 50 or more throws, he only eclipsed his number from Sunday night once: He went 52 of 88 for 734 yards and five touchdowns in a memorable 66-59 shootout loss to Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma on Oct. 22, 2016.

Mahomes only eclipsed his completion total from last weekend twice: That game against the Sooners and a game against Kansas State a couple of weeks earlier, when he was 45 of 62 for 504 yards and two TDs in a 44-38 defeat.

“He's electric,” Jaguars coach Doug Pederson said. “He's a guy that can extend plays. He gets the ball out of his hands so fast it's hard to get to him. He's kind of the heart and soul of that offense, tough to defend and tough to play against him, and I definitely appreciate how he plays the game. He plays it the right way.”

NOTES: WR Mecole Hardman did not practice Wednesday because of an abdominal injury. Hardman has caught TD passes in each of his past three games with five total touchdowns over that span. ...
