David Francis “Cooter” Kroeger, age 72, of Hays, Kansas passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at his home. He fought a long ten year battle with his lung cancer.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; He was born December 2, 1951, in Hays to Joseph J. and Margaret (Wasinger) Kroeger.&nbsp; He married LeAnne (Hoffman) on June 3, 1988, in Hays.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; David was a truck driver for over 40 years and before he retired the last eight years he hauled fuel for the Cerv’s Convenience Stores.&nbsp; He grew up and attended school in Ellis, Kansas, moved to Hays in 1977, and attended the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.&nbsp; He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in&nbsp; the Vietnam War.&nbsp; He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, playing softball for Club 3, golfing, and having a beer with his friends.&nbsp; He had an immense love for his family and his two grand kids.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; David is survived by his wife, LeAnne, of the home; his daughter, Janae Atkerson and husband, Craig, Hays, KS; his grandchildren, Rylee and Reanna Atkerson; his sisters-in-law, Linda Kroeger, Lawrence, KS; and Paula Kroeger, Hays, KS.

Julius J. “Jules” Engel, Jr. (Sonny), 80, Hays, died Monday, July 1, 2024 at HaysMed.

He was born June 28, 1944 in Hays, the son of Julius J. “Lefty” and Virginia “Chink” (Younger) Engel. In 1962, he graduated from Hays High School. Jules was in the U.S. Army, serving in Fort Hood, Texas where he was a cook and part of the 995th Maintenance Company activated for the Vietnam War. He worked at Houston Tires Inc., James Motor Company, and the Service Department with the City of Hays, proudly working as a third-generation street sweeper. Jules enjoyed Monday lunch with his son, was known for always wearing wild colored Converse shoes, and was an avid sports fan who especially enjoyed watching baseball and the Denver Broncos. With a passion for the game of golf he was proud to have made a hole-in-one at Fort Hays Municipal Golf Course. Jules was a member of Fort Hays Sr. Men’s Golf Association, Hays VFW Post #9076, and for many years honored veterans as a member of the VFW Post #9076 Honor Guard.

Survivors include his sons, Scott Engel (Geri) and Bobby Engel (Alicia Smith) all of Hays, a brother, Francis “Butch” Engel (Linda) of Hays, a sister, Anita Kreutzer of Denver, CO, one grandson, Tyler Engel, two step-grandchildren, Logan and Madison Key, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Phyllis Fike.

Private funeral services will be at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in WaKeeney with military honors by the Hays VFW Post #9076 Honor Guard. Memorials are suggested to the VFW Post #9076 Honor Guard. MANHATTAN, Kan.&nbsp;– The Kansas State men’s basketball team will play host to Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion Drake in the Wildcat Classic on Tuesday, December 17 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City.

Season ticket holders can now request tickets for the game during the current ordering and renewal process. Tickets for the public will go on sale this fall.

The matchup will mark the 13th&nbsp;Wildcat Classic game at the T-Mobile Center with K-State winning 10 of the 12 previous Classics, including victories over Nebraska in 2022 and Wichita State last season. The Wildcat Classic dates to 2007 and has included such notable opponents as Alabama, Florida, Texas A&amp;M, UNLV and Vanderbilt.

This will be the 28th&nbsp;meeting between K-State and Drake with 26 of the last 27 matchups coming between 1918 and 1956. The Bulldogs won the most recent meeting, 80-70, at Bramlage Coliseum on Nov. 25, 2020.

Drake posted a 28-7 record in 2023-24, including a second-place finish in the MVC standings with a 16-4 mark, and earned the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament with an 84-80 win over top-seed Indiana State in the championship game. 🏀 K-State to face Drake in Kansas City in December

LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Utah State announced Tuesday it’s firing football coach Blake Anderson after an external review of allegations that he hadn’t complied with Title IX policies regarding the reporting of sexual misconduct cases.

Nate Dreiling, who had been Utah State’s defensive coordinator and defensive ends coach, will be Utah State’s interim coach during the upcoming season. Athletic director Diana Sabau met players and staff Tuesday to inform them of the move, the university said in&nbsp;<a href="https://www.usu.edu/today/story/usu-makes-significant-changes-in-football-program" target="_blank">a news release</a>.

Dreiling grew up in Victoria but played in high school at Hutchinson under his father, legendary coach Randy Dreiling. Dreiling went on to have an All-American career at Pittsburg State and was was recently inducted into the MIAA Hall of Fame.

According to ESPN's Pate Thamel, Dreiling becomes the youngest FBS head coach in the nation at 33 years old. He had previously been the defensive coordinator at New Mexico State.

Utah State also said associate vice president/deputy athletic director of external affairs Jerry Bovee and football director of player development and community Austin Albrecht were fired “for violations of university policies related to the reporting of sexual and domestic violence and failures of professional responsibilities.”

Bovee was Utah State’s interim athletic director in 2023. Utah State said Anderson was being fired for actions that took place in the spring of 2023.

Utah State noted that Title IX policies “require full and timely reporting of disclosures of sexual misconduct — including domestic violence — and prohibit employees from investigating disclosures of sexual misconduct themselves.”

“As leaders, we are responsible for ensuring allegations of USU policy violations are investigated,” Sabau and Utah State President Elizabeth Cantwell said in an email they sent to faculty and staff. “Today’s actions are the result of a thorough external investigation, and we believe the evidence demands immediate action. Our job is to fearlessly hold ourselves and others accountable for their conduct and to make sure that, for the sake of our students and our community, we are living the values of our university.

“While recognizing the impact of these decisions on our student athletes and football program, we will continue to take the steps necessary to deliver a respectful, transparent and winning culture at Utah State University.”

School officials noted that Anderson has 14 days to respond to the university’s decision under terms of his employment agreement. School officials said they couldn‘t release any additional information until all opportunities to respond or appeal to the decision have expired.

Anderson posted a 23-17 record in three seasons at Utah State, with the Aggies reaching bowl games each of those years. 🏈 Victoria native named interim head coach at Utah State

NEW YORK (AP) —Former President Donald Trump’s sentencing in his hush money case was postponed until at least September as the judge agreed Tuesday to weigh the possible impact of a new&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/supreme-court-trump-capitol-riot-immunity-2dc0d1c2368d404adc0054151490f542">Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity</a>.

The delay is a major reprieve for Trump, who had been scheduled to face sentencing July 11 on his New York conviction on felony charges of falsifying business records. He denies any wrongdoing.

The postponement sets the sentencing for Sept. 18 at the earliest — if it happens at all, since Trump's lawyers are arguing that the Supreme Court ruling merits not only delaying the sentencing but tossing out his conviction.

The new date is well after this month's Republican National Convention, where Trump is set formally to accept the party’s nomination for president in this year’s race.

September, however, is far closer to Election Day, which could put the issue top-of-mind for voters just as they seriously tune into the race. Because of absentee voting timelines in certain states, some voters may already have cast ballots before anyone knows whether the former president will have to spend time in jail or on home confinement.

There was no immediate comment on the postponement from Trump's campaign or Manhattan prosecutors, who brought the case.

The delay caps a string of political and legal wins for Trump in recent days, including the Supreme Court's immunity ruling and a debate&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/biden-debate-democrats-trump-trapped-c10c872f8436966096b45b6089adee8b">widely seen as a disaster</a>&nbsp;for Democratic President Joe Biden.

The immunity decision all but closed the door on the possibility that Trump could face trial in his 2020 election interference case in Washington before this November's vote. The timeline in itself is a victory for the former president, who has sought to delay his four criminal cases past the balloting.

An&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-fani-willis-georgia-election-indictment-3c852370fe7888eaf331fb95dcf9f26f">appeals court recently paused</a>&nbsp;a separate election interference case against Trump, in Georgia; no trial date has been set. His federal classified documents case in Florida remains bogged down by pretrial disputes that have resulted in an indefinite cancelation of the trial date.

Monday's Supreme Court ruling granted broad immunity protections to presidents, while also restricting prosecutors from citing any official acts as evidence in trying to prove a president’s unofficial actions violated the law.

The high court held that former presidents are absolutely immune from prosecution for actions that fall within their core constitutional duties, such as interacting with the Justice Department, and at least presumptively immune for all other official acts. The justices left intact the longstanding principle that no immunity exists for purely personal acts.

It's not clear how the decision will affect the New York hush money case.

Its underpinnings involved allegations that a pre-presidency Trump participated in a scheme to stifle sex stories that he feared would be damaging to his 2016 campaign. But the actual charges had to do with payments made in 2017 to his then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, who had shelled out hush money on Trump's behalf. Trump was president when he signed relevant checks to Cohen.

Trump's lawyers sought unsuccessfully before the trial to keep out certain evidence that they said concerned official acts, including social media posts he made as president. They may face a similar uphill climb in trying to argue now that the Supreme Court ruling warrants tossing out the New York conviction.

When Trump vied unsuccessfully last year to get the hush-money case moved from state court to federal court,&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-new-york-indictment-stormy-daniels-cohen-e673f673d205a70275d05510793672f2">U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein rejected the former president's claim</a>&nbsp;that allegations in the hush money indictment involved official duties.

“The evidence overwhelmingly suggests that the matter was a purely personal item of the president — a cover-up of an embarrassing event," Hellerstein wrote last year.

Hours after Monday's Supreme Court ruling, Trump’s attorney&nbsp;<a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24787589-20240701-letter-to-justice-merchan-re-immunity-decision?responsive=1&amp;title=1">requested</a>&nbsp;that New York Judge Juan M. Merchan set aside the jury’s guilty verdict and delay the sentencing to consider how the high court’s ruling could affect the hush money case.

Merchan wrote that he'll rule Sept. 6, and the next date in the case would be Sept. 18, “if such is still necessary.”

In their filing Monday, defense attorneys argued that Manhattan prosecutors had placed “highly prejudicial emphasis on official-acts evidence,” including Trump's social media posts and witness testimony about Oval Office meetings.

Prosecutors said before the judge's decision Tuesday that they believed those arguments were “without merit” but that they wouldn't oppose adjourning the sentencing for two weeks as the judge considers the matter.

Trump was convicted May 30 on 34 counts of falsifying business records arising from what prosecutors said was an attempt to cover up a $130,000 hush money payment to porn actor Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 presidential election.

Daniels claims she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006 after meeting him at a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. Trump has repeatedly denied that claim, saying at his June 27 debate with Biden: “I didn’t have sex with a porn star.”

Prosecutors said the Daniels payment was part of a broader scheme to buy the silence of people who might have gone public during the campaign with embarrassing stories alleging Trump had extramarital sex. Trump said they all were false.

Cohen paid Daniels and was later reimbursed by Trump, whose company logged the reimbursements as legal expenses.

Trump's defense argued that the payments were indeed for legal work and so were correctly categorized.

Falsifying business records is punishable by up to four years behind bars. Other potential sentences include probation, a fine or a conditional discharge which would require Trump to stay out of trouble to avoid additional punishment. Trump is the first ex-president convicted of a crime.

Judge delays Trump’s sentencing after high court immunity ruling

LOS ANGELES (AP) —&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/hub/ann-wilson">Ann Wilson</a>, lead singer of rock band Heart, says she has cancer and the band is postponing the remaining shows on its&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/hart-tour-wilson-royal-flush-e82a5cecf9dc482e58ad5893d06d97c8">Royal Flush Tour</a>&nbsp;while she undergoes treatment.

Wilson said in a statement Tuesday that she underwent a surgery to remove a cancerous growth and is recovering steadily, but that her doctors urged her to undergo preventive chemotherapy and take time off from performing “in order to fully recover.” That meant the rest of the shows on the North American tour will be postponed to dates in 2025.

“To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025,” Wilson said in the statement. “My team is getting those details sorted &amp; we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”

All previously purchased tickets for the now-postponed shows will be honored. The rescheduled dates will be announced in the coming weeks, according to the release.

“This is merely a pause. I’ve much more to sing,” Wilson continued in the statement before adding, “Respectfully, this is the last public statement l’d like to make on the matter.”

Over 50 shows at stadium and arena venues in dozens of cities across the U.S. and Canada are impacted by the postponement. Select shows were set to include performances from Def Leppard and Journey, and Heart has not announced whether those bands will accompany them at the rescheduled performances.

The band, led by Wilson and her sister Nancy Wilson on the guitar, canceled the European leg of their tour in May, citing that the singer had to have "a time-sensitive but routine procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks.”

Wilson posted on Instagram at the time of the European shows' cancellation, writing, “I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me.”

The Wilson sisters, who made hits like “Magic Man,” “Crazy on You” and “Alone,” formed the band in 1973. The Rock &amp; Roll Hall of Famers were honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2023.

Ann Wilson announces cancer diagnosis, postpones Heart tour

DOUGLAS. COUNTY —Police are investigating a bank robbery and searching for a suspect.

Just before 9:30a.m. Tuesday, police responded to&nbsp;the Bank of America at 900 Ohio Street in Lawrence, after a bank robbery was reported, according to a media release from Lawrence Police.

Police are looking for a man in a black beanie, black mask with unknown design on it, and possibly all black clothing. The suspect fled to the south on foot. No injuries were reported.

For June 2024, the Ellis Police Department responded to 207 calls for service, conducted 38 traffic stops, and issued 3 traffic citations. Two of the three citations were for speeding, with the highest alleged speed being 20mph over the posted speed limit.

The Ellis Police Department also conducted several felony and misdemeanor investigations, resulting in one adult arrest.

The following adult was arrested in March by the Ellis Police Department:

On June 16, Isaac Henman was arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery. He was booked into the Ellis County Jail.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

On June 20, the Ellis Police Department responded to a welfare check. Officers knew that the subject was out on bond with an ankle monitor, awaiting final sentencing to the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Family members of the subject reported to officers that the subject had made suicidal remarks and believed the subject had serious intent of self-harm.

Officers attempted to knock at the residence's front door but received no answer. An officer observed a light on in the garage at the rear of the property. Officers approached the garage and heard an individual in obvious, agonizing distress.

Officers forced entry to the garage and observed that the subject of the welfare check had attempted suicide and was bleeding profusely. Officers immediately, and without hesitation, sprung into action; rendering immediate life-saving treatment and requested Ellis County Emergency Medical Services respond to the scene.

The subject of the welfare check survived their injuries because of the quick-thinking, training and experience of the officers who were on scene.

I would be remiss if I did not recognize and show appreciation to our local EMS and hospital system, as well as the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office, for assisting us. Pending the outcome of legal proceedings, a full release on this incident will be made later.

Ellis Police Department June 2024 report

Learning Cross Child Care is closing one of its locations but has opened a new center at the First Presbyterian Church in Hays.

Learning Cross Agape at the First Presbyterian Church, 2900 Hall, has been open since February.

The church has hosted child care in its building, but that space has been empty for some time.

The church received a grant from the Dane G. Hansen Foundation to complete classroom renovations.

Agape can accept infants through children 12 years old, Brett Schmidt, Learning Cross director, said. It is considered a small-center pilot through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.

Learning Cross can legally accommodate up to 24 children in that classroom, depending on age, but the center has capped its enrollment at 12.

The center can accommodate up to four infants and will have three to four staff members assigned to that location, Schmidt said.

"All of our programs, we always overstaff just to make it easier on our staff but also higher quality care," he said. "That's what the mission has always been."

Learning Cross has reserved spots for school-age children at Agape for children who have graduated from its intergenerational preschool at Ascension Via Christi Village,&nbsp;2225 Canterbury.

Agape has a waitlist for infants and toddlers.

Schmidt said the small-center model allows for more flexibility and more supervision than a traditional center.

All children are combined in one classroom with infants in a designated area for safety.

Learning Cross Academy preschool, 2517 Canterbury, will close as of the end of June.

That center opened in 2020 and was a kindergarten prep program for 4- and 5-year-olds.&nbsp;

Learning Cross had hoped to purchase the Academy location, but that fell through. Schmidt said staff also preferred the intergenerational model.

The child care has had lower enrollment at the intergenerational Learning Cross Preschool because of a lack of available staff members, so the staff members from the academy will be moved to the intergenerational center to accommodate enrollment at that location.

"We will have more flexibility with staff, and we will bring the program back, so every kid gets that," Schmidt said of the intergenerational program.

"Child care's hard. When you have the intergenerational built into it, you have another benefit to teaching," he said.

Despite the academy's closing, Schmidt said the changes will likely result in no net loss in child care spots.

The intergenerational center, which cares for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, will be able to accommodate more children when academy staff are transferred to that program, Schmidt said.

The intergenerational center is full for the next two school years but has a waitlist.

If granted by Judge Juan M. Merchan, the delay would mean that Trump won’t learn his sentence until after he is formally nominated at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, which starts July 15, leaving open the possibility that he could be ordered to jail during a critical stretch of his campaign.

The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24787590-20240702-people-pml-response-on-immunity-filed?responsive=1&amp;title=1">letter</a>&nbsp;came one day after Trump’s attorney&nbsp;<a href="https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24787589-20240701-letter-to-justice-merchan-re-immunity-decision?responsive=1&amp;title=1">requested</a>&nbsp;the judge delay the sentencing as he weighs the high court’s ruling and how it could influence the New York case.

In their filing, defense attorneys argued that Manhattan prosecutors had placed “highly prejudicial emphasis on official-acts evidence,” including Trump's social media posts and witness testimony about Oval Office meetings.

Trump will be required to be present in Merchan’s Manhattan courtroom when he is sentenced.

chance came in the sixth&nbsp; after ssngles from Garrett Gruell, Wilbert Espinal and Houston
Russell loaded the bases with no outs but the next three batters struck out to
end the threat.

The Larks threatened
again in the ninth. Kaleb Duncan doubled with two outs then advanced to third
on Kaiden Ashton’s single, but Will Carpenter struck out to end the game.

The Larks out-hit the
Angels 11-3 but stranded 11 base runners, seven of which were in scoring

The court's conservative majority ruling makes it all but certain that the Republican will not face trial in Washington&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-immunity-supreme-court-capitol-riot-trial-72ec35de776315183e1db561257cb108">ahead of the November election over his actions</a>&nbsp;during the violent riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

“No one is above the law, not even the president of the United States," Biden said from the White House.

During his brief remarks he made no mention of last week's debate or his performance, and did not take questions.

Biden seemed relaxed and confident, striking a clear and crisp tone and looking tanned and rested — all of which was in stark contrast to his often halting performance during last week’s debate, when his face was notably pale. The president also had the benefit of a teleprompter for his remarks about the court, something he didn’t have while facing off with Trump.

“I know I will respect the limits of presidential power as I have for the three-and-a-half years, but any president, including Donald Trump, will now be free to ignore the law,” Biden said.

For all the public efforts to shift the focus away from his uneven performance that spooked donors and prompted&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/trump-biden-debate-age-democrats-b93d7ffaad75fd423ea3953fe16287f0">Democratic anxiety</a>, there have been private discussions on what more Biden could do to counteract what Americans saw during the debate, when he gave convoluted answers, trailed off at times, occasionally stared blankly and sounded raspy-voiced.

There has been talk about whether Biden should be seen more in public through town-hall-style events or interviews and press conferences, which he has generally avoided during his time in office.

But most in his orbit are waiting on more substantial polling to come back in order to assess how bad the damage was before altering course in any substantial way. That's according to four Biden advisers who were not authorized to speak publicly about internal discussions and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Even before the debate, the age of the 81-year-old Democratic president had been a&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/biden-age-poll-trump-2024-620e0a5cfa0039a6448f607c17c7f23e">liability with voters</a>, and the prime-time faceoff put the issue front-and-center before perhaps the largest audience he will have in the four months until Election Day. CNN, which held the debate, said more than 51 million people watched.

“I think his age was baked in, to a large degree, and I know he can do better than he did on Thursday night. I expected to see better. I’m not sure other voters did,” said Jennifer Palmieri, a White House communications director during the Obama administration and a spokesperson for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign.

She added that, tactically, the campaign has responded by promoting Biden’s strong speech in North Carolina on Friday and by continuing to post strong fundraising numbers. Palmieri also said Biden might also want to sit for more interviews to continue to show that the debate was an anomaly.

“Their focus needs to be on getting him in front of voters that matter the most, and more interviews should be part of that. Don’t be like Trump in your own little universe,” she said. “For now, we’re early, but what they’re doing is working."

There's a sense that voters may now be watching Biden more closely for signs that show one way or another whether his debate debacle was a blip — whether he is, as he says, capable of doing the job.

Alan Kessler, a lawyer and member of the Biden campaign’s national finance team, has spent days calming jittery donors, telling them what he says he has personally witnessed when he's seen the president — that he's “lucid, strong as he's always been.”

“To the extent it’s necessary, I’m reassuring people,” Kessler said.

Rebecca Katz, a strategist who worked with Democratic Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman’s winning campaign in 2022, saw potential parallels in Fetterman's comeback from a shaky debate performance after he had a stroke.

Fetterman's team highlighted especially bombastic comments his opponent made about abortion during that debate, and also had the candidate travel extensively afterward. He did lots of local television interviews to ensure voters in key markets saw him outside of clips from the debate.

“It’s not a perfect comparison but there is a blueprint for the Biden campaign,” Katz said. “You can have a rough debate night and still win.”

Biden expressed interest in doing at least one interview. At a Saturday fundraiser in East Hampton, New York, Biden said he had spoken with the broadcaster Howard Stern, who had interviewed him in April, where he answered open-ended questions mostly about his early years.

The president told the crowd he was ready for another sit-down with Stern, saying: “I had a great time on his show. And I’m actually going to take a chance in going back.”

The Democratic National Committee and&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/bidendebatetrumpdnc-aa08cc2b556b315e728d1e9c2bf81be9">Biden’s campaign</a>, meanwhile, kept up damage control, holding an evening finance call. Over the weekend, they held calls with donors and one with dozens of committee members across the country — some of the most influential members of the party. They offered a rosy assessment of the path forward and gave no opportunity for others on the call to ask questions.

Multiple committee members on the weekend call, most granted anonymity to talk about the private discussion, described feeling like they were being asked to ignore a serious predicament.

Campaign officials have said there was no discussion “whatsoever” of Biden exiting the race nor of any staff shakeups following the debate.

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania said he thought voters were more concerned with the issues at stake, anyway. “I’ve been at this a while, and I know his work,” Casey said.

The window of opportunity for that is shrinking anyway. The Democratic National Committee has announced that it will use a virtual roll call to formally make him the nominee before the convention begins in Chicago on Aug. 19. But when that will happen and what it will look like is still unclear.

He was born on July 13, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Arthur and Marie (Tucker) Pickle. &nbsp;In 1961, he married Annie Rowland; she passed in April 2003. Bill then married Cheryl Breeden on March 19, 2005. She survives.

He attended Bear Creek School in Jacksonville, Illinois, then proudly served in the United States Army as a mechanic and driver in the 9th Transportation Battalion, 1st Infantry Division during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his time in the service, he landed in Great Bend, and worked for Doonan Truck and Equipment with their tow truck/wrecker department for 38 years prior to his retirement.&nbsp;

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Golden Belt Memorial Park, 59 NW 50 Rd., Great Bend, Kansas, with Pastor Bill Johnson presiding. Military rites will be presented by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Memorials have been designated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or American Legion Post #180, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
