Jacob Wood, who served as assistant city manager for the City of Hays from 2015 to 2019, has been appointed the Salina interim city manager, according to a news release from the City of Salina.
The announcement was made following a special meeting of the Salina City Commission on Wednesday evening.
Wood has been Salina's deputy city manager since April 2019.
He has also served as the Oakley city administrator.
Wood will step into the interim role on February 7, taking over for Mike Schrage, who resigned during the December 23 meeting to accept a similar position in Warrensburg, Missouri. Wood will serve as interim city manager until a permanent replacement is selected.
