STEVENS COUNTY–&nbsp;The Kansas State Fire Marshal (KSFM) Investigation Division was requested to assist with a fatality fire at 1601 S Washington, Hugoton, according to a state from KSFM's office spokesman Lance Feyh.

 KSFM Special Agents were requested by local authorities after they responded to a fire with a fatality to a shed that belonged to the City of Hugoton’s electrical department.&nbsp; Three Special Agent/Certified Fire Investigators were sent to assist with this fire event.

The fire incident is still under investigation and is believed to be related to an overpressure event from natural gas. No foul play is suspected. Identification of the deceased is pending, and an autopsy is scheduled to help determine the official cause of death.
