Acclaimed Celtic fingerstyle guitarist Jerry Barlow is a virtuoso musician, a warm and accessible performer, and a world-class storyteller. His repertoire is composed of a synthesis of traditional music from the British Isles and his own original Celtic-inspired compositions. On Sunday, March 26, Jerry will perform a show of medieval Irish & Scottish history and music called “Of Castles and Kings." This show will take place in the Sharon Springs High School Auditorium at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 26. (2:00p.m. MT).
Barlow’s music transports the listener across time and space on an imaginary journey to a rustic Irish fishing village or the misty Scottish Highlands or an enchanted English forest. He shares the history, legend and humor behind the music, bringing the songs alive. His expressive arrangements have been described as “music to soothe the soul, warm the heart, and lift the spirit."
This program is sponsored in part by the Dane G. Hansen Foundation. Admission is with season ticket, or at the door; Adults, $10, Students, $5. There will be a school performance the following Monday in Sharon Springs.
