The Kansas Board of Healing Arts today announced an emergency order of suspension of the professional license of Dr. Randy Hassler.

The 74-year-old Salina urologist was arrested Dec. 23, 2019, on suspicion of aggravated sexual battery and rape.

Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester told Salina Post on Dec. 24, 2019, that Hassler was alleged to have had inappropriate sexual contact with a woman patient in February 2019. The victim contacted police in July and both Salina Police and Salina Regional Health Center personnel conducted separate investigations.

Hassler turned himself in at the Saline County Jail on Dec. 23, 2019, and was released that afternoon.
