Midwest Energy's Hays, Kan., office is hiring an IT Service Desk Technician. The position will be responsible for responding to queries, running diagnostic programs, isolating problems, determining viable resolutions, and implementing the appropriate solutions. The technician will identify software and computer system end-user training needs along with coordinating, facilitating and/or conducting end-user training. The technician will work with the internal and external departments in the company to triage technical issues and request and ensure solutions are operable, effective and efficient while adhering to best practice cyber security standards.
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing or a related technical field is desired; alternatively, work experience and/or a combination of education and work experience will be accepted. A minimum of three years of experience working in an IT Department with responsibilities associated to maintaining software support, PC support, server operations and/or network operations is preferred. A successful candidate must also have Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) A+ Certification.
