The Pew Research Center released a study on Thursday showing that about a third of U.S. adults are closely following news on COVID-19, although that number has increased during the recent omicron variant surge.
The study also showed partisan divisions on both news consumption and how Americans believe the nation has effectively controlled the pandemic.
