Baseball, softball opening day tonight at Hays Recreation Commission

HOUSTON (AP) — Bobby Witt Jr. and Jonathan India each drove in two runs to help Michael Wacha and the Kansas City Royals beat the Houston Astros 7-5 on Monday night.

Michael Massey homered as Kansas City improved to 8-2 in its last 10 games. India finished with three hits, and Witt, Vinnie Pasquantino and Kyle Isbel each had two.

Wacha (3-4) allowed two runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings. Carlos Estévez got three outs for his 12th save.

Massey sparked Kansas City's four-run second with a leadoff drive against rookie Ryan Gusto (3-2) for his second homer. India hit a two-out RBI single and scored on Witt's first triple of the season. Pasquantino added a run-scoring single.

The Royals added three more in the third. Drew Waters and India each hit an RBI single, and Witt drove in Waters with a sacrifice fly.

Jake Meyers had two hits and scored two runs for Houston, which had won three of four.

Zach Dezenzo hit an RBI double in the seventh for the Astros, and Jeremy Peña added a sacrifice fly. Meyers' RBI single helped his team close to 7-5 in the eighth.

Gusto allowed seven hits and walked three in 2 1/3 innings.

Jose Altuve hit a leadoff single in the ninth for Houston. But Isaac Paredes flied out, Christian Walker struck out and Yainer Diaz flied out.

Wacha entered with the least run support among starters at 1.79 runs per game. The Royals had not scored more than two runs with him on the mound in any of his eight starts.

LHP Kris Bubic (4-2, 1.69 ERA) starts on Tuesday for the Royals against LHP Framber Valdez (2-4, 3.94 ERA).

HOISINGTON
– The TMP-Marian Monarchs softball team split with Hoisington to close out
their regular season Monday. The Cardinals scored five in the sixth and won the
opener 9-5 but the Monarchs responded and took game two 10-3.

TMP-Marian
closed out the regular season 24-2. The seedings and bracket for next week’s
2-1A regional hosted by Spearville will be released Wednesday.

Game 1: Hoisington 9. TMP-Marian 5
The Monarchs held a 5-4 lead after five but the Cardinals scored five in the bottom
of the sixth to rally for the win.

Brooke
Koeningsman hit a two-run homer in the top of the first to give TMP the early
lead. After Hoisington scored three in the bottom of the inning, the Monarchs
tied it with a run in the third on a Paige Koeningsman groundout.

The
Monarchs scored two in the fifth to retake the lead. Bria Windholz tied the
game with a single to center then scored the go-ahead run on an A Watson double
to left.

Hoisington
took advantage of three walks, two errors and a bases loaded triple in their
five-run sixth. The triple was the only hit of the inning.

Brynn
Rebel allowed all nine runs, only two of which were earned, on six hits with seven
strikeouts and six walks over 5 1/3 innings and took the loss. Piper Simpson
recorded the final two outs of the sixth.

TMP
was held to only three hits and struck out seven times at the plate.

Game 2: TMP-Marian 10, Hoisington 3
Just like in game one, the Monarchs struck early with two runs in the first.
They added three in the second, then single runs in the third, fourth and fifth.
Then added two more in the seventh.

The
Monarchs scored their first run on an error then a Bria Windholz single. Addison
Watson scored on a passed ball then Brynn Rebel hit a two-run homer to put them
up 5-1 in the second.

The
Monarchs scored single runs over the next three innings on RBI singles from Watson,
Paige Koeningsman and Nicole Schumacher.

An
error and a Hannah Rose sacrifice fly accounted for the final two runs in the
seventh.

&nbsp;Brynn Rebel, Paige Koeningsman and Addison
Watson all had three of the Monarchs 11 hits. 

Bria
Windholz allowed three runs on eight hits with four walks and two strikeouts
and picked up the complete game win.

Giolito (1-1) allowed two singles and one unearned run in 6 2/3 innings to get his first win for Boston. He missed last season with a partially torn elbow ligament, and his last victory was for Cleveland on Sept. 15, 2023.

Devers — again starting at designated hitter two days after Red Sox homer John Henry flew to Kansas City&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/a82e9ddbb9c6f5e294dc6ce5908eab0c">to meet with the disgruntled slugger</a>&nbsp;over his refusal to play first base — followed up his 4-for-4 performance on Saturday with a monster homer. The Monarchs (18-4) will take on the winner of the day's

two teams will play at 3 p.m. at TMP.

The four versus five matchup will feature Ellinwood and Bennington
in Ellinwood.

All the first-round games will be played on May 16th

Trevor Story blew open a close game with a three-run homer.

Cole Ragans (2-2) took the loss. He allowed four runs on seven hits through five innings. He struck out eight and walked two.

The Red Sox got to Ragans in the third. With two outs, Jarren Duran singled and scored on Devers' double.

The Royals answered with a run in the bottom of the third. Witt stroked a one-out single, stole second, went to third on a balk and scored on a looping hit by Mark Canha.

The Red Sox scored three runs in the fifth on four consecutive hits. Duran, Devers and Alex Bregman each delivered RBI singles.

Story's home run came with two outs in the seventh, and Carlos Narvaez added a two-run shot in the eighth.

After the Red Sox took a 4-1 lead in the fifth inning, Crochet got the shut-down inning he needed. Even with an error by shortstop Trevor Story, Crochet didn't allow a runner to reach second base.

Kansas City’s Salvador Perez celebrated his 35th birthday Saturday. With a first-inning single, Perez had a hit for the seventh time in the last 10 years on his birthday.

HAYS - Hays High ended the 2025 Diamond Classic with a 2-2 record after beating Life Prep and losing to TMP.

Hays High 6, Life Prep 5 It was an improbable comeback in game one that led the Indians to a one run victory. Hays trailed the Fire of Life Prep 2-0 after four innings. Life Prep (12-15) scored on a bases loaded walk and a sacrifice fly for the first advantage.&nbsp;

They added a single run in the fifth with an RBI single for a 3-0 edge.

Hays got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth when Landon Hardman led the inning off with a single and later scored on a fielder's choice for a 3-1 game.

The runs were earned back in the top of the sixth by Life Prep. The Fire led off the inning with a pair of singles and later scored. The final run was scored on a wild pitch for a 5-1 score.

Hays went down in order in the sixth. The Indians were down to their final strike in the bottom of the seventh before Jalen Smith put a ball in play and reached on an error. Carter Graham followed that up with a walk. Brett Rhoades singled and Trace Jacobs did the same to score Smith.&nbsp;

Life Prep made a pitching change and Hays waited the new pitcher out as he couldn't find the strike zone. Bennett Smith walked to drive in a run and Ian McGuire was hit by a pitch to score another. Hardman was walked on a 3-2 pitch count to tie the game. Kal Londsdale on his first start of the season was hit on a 1-2 pitch count to score Smith for the 6-5 victory.

Johnny Cano (4-1) pitched the seventh inning for the win. Carter Graham went six inning. He allowed six hits, five runs, three earned with two walks and three strike outs.

Hardman, Graham and Cano each had two hits.

TMP 5, Hays High 2 TMP (19-5) scored three runs in the first inning without recording and hit on their way to a 5-2 victory over the Hays High Indians.

Three walks, a hit batter and a fielder's choice led to a 3-0 first inning lead for the Monarchs. Starting pitcher Brett Rhoades recorded one out before giving way to Johnny Canon in relief. Cano and the Indian defense held TMP scoreless over the next four innings.&nbsp;

Hays (13-8) however couldn't figure out Carson Lyles. The TMP starting pitcher worked all seven innings for the victory. The Indians had just one baserunner through the first four innings.&nbsp;

Hays threatened in the fifth with two on and one out but couldn't score. TMP notched a run in the top of the sixth on three straight singles from Connor Breit, Isaac Purinton and Jacob Seib for a 4-0 lead.

The Indians managed two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Johnny Cano singled then Jalen Smith drove him in with a double. Carter Graham singled home Smith for a 4-2 game. Brett Rhoades reached on a single but was thrown out at second on a fielder's choice on the next at-bat. As base running error on a pop up to right field resulted in a double play and ended the inning.&nbsp;

TMP added an insurance run for Lyles (3-1) in the top of the seventh after Grant Nehls singled and later scored on a wild pitch for the final of 5-2.

Lyles allowed seven hits and two runs while walking one and striking out six in the victory. Cano went five and two-thirds innings before being lifted on pitch count on the combination of game one and two. He allowed six hits and one run. Cano walked two and struck out four. Trace Jacobs allowed one run on one hit and two walks in the seventh.&nbsp;

Graham recorded two hits for the Indians. Grant Nehls and Connor Breit had two hits each for TMP.

Hays will finish the regular season with a trip to Liberal for a single game on Thursday and then host Junction City for a doubleheader on Friday.

⚾ Hays High beats Life Prep, falls to TMP

The Fort Hays State track and field team turned in a strong weekend of performances across three meets, highlighted by a school record and several NCAA Division II provisional qualifying marks.

Emily Diercks delivered the standout moment of the weekend at the Franson Last Chance meet, placing third in the 10,000m run with a time of 34:37.64, setting a new school record and currently ranking 15th in Division II.

At the Ward Haylett Invitational, Josiah Ball strengthened his case for nationals in the pole vault by clearing 16-7.5, moving up to a tie for 14th on the national performance list. Reba Mader hit a provisional mark in the 400m hurdles, finishing sixth in 1:01.62, while Annabeth Baalmann cleared 13-4.5 in the pole vault to also earn a qualifying mark. However, Baalmann already has a better mark that has her ranked third nationally.

The Loper Twilight meet on Saturday saw continued success. Mader improved her 400m hurdle time to 1:00.33, good for second place and another provisional mark. Liberty Booker hit the provisional qualifying distance in the hammer throw, placing second with a throw of 174-10, but she already has a stronger mark in the event this year.

On the men's side, the 4x100m relay team of Hayden Albright, Toby Wahlmeier, Avrey Albright, and Nolan Churchman won the event in 40.17, a provisional time that currently ranks 16th nationally.

These performances continued to bolster FHSU's postseason hopes for NCAA qualifiers. The NCAA Championships await in a week and a half, set for Thursday (March 22) to Saturday (March 24).

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Cooper Scheck wrapped up his 2024-25 golf season in the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional held at St. Joseph Country Club over three days (May 8-10). Scheck was one of eight individuals selected to compete in the super regional field aside from the 20 teams that competed in the tournament. Scheck finished in a tie for 22nd individually at 4-over par for the tournament. He was the highest finisher among that group of individuals selected to compete in the event.

Scheck produced his best round of the tournament on the final day, shooting a 1-under par 70. He dipped under par overall three times early on in the tournament before eventually finishing at 4-over overall. He was even par overall in his first and third rounds combined, but unfortunately slipped a bit in the second round after a strong start that day. He was among the top five on the leaderboard and within three shots of the lead through 22 total holes in the tournament, but a 4-over par stretch on the final five holes of his front nine in the second round pushed him back over par for the tournament.

Scheck's first and third rounds looked pretty similar in that he had three birdies, four bogeys and 11 pars in the first round for a 72 (+1) and four birdies, three bogeys and 11 pars in the third round for a 70 (-1). Scheck had his most birdies in the second round with five, but unfortunately it was not enough to offset seven bogeys and a double bogey that ultimately led to a 4-over par 75. Overall, Scheck produced 12 birdies for the tournament. It tied for fifth most in the tournament.

Nick Canales of Central Oklahoma and Marco Anderson of Washburn both shot 6-under par overall to lead a field of over 100 golfers. They were two of nine golfers who finished under par overall in the tournament. Central Oklahoma ran away with the team tournament title by 15 strokes, shooting 5-under par overall as a team. Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri S&amp;T, and Central Missouri rounded out the top four, which secured spots as teams at the national championship site. Scheck finished 13th among golfers not on national championship qualifying teams.

Scheck was the first FHSU men's golfer to earn a trip to the NCAA postseason since Trey Herman competed in the 2015 regional 10 years ago. Scheck is a two-time All-MIAA performer and he joined Herman as the only Tigers with multiple All-MIAA honors since FHSU joined the conference in 2006-07.

ANDOVER – The Hays High softball team split their two games Saturday
at the Andover Central softball fields. The Indians lost 17-7 to the host
Jaguars then defeated Kapaun Mt. Carmel 14-13. HHS is now 14-9 on the season. They
travel to Garden City to close out Western Athletic play Tuesday with a single
game against the Buffaloes.

Andover Central 17, Hays 7 (6 innings) The Jaguars scored five runs in the top of the first inning and led 10-0 after
2 1/2 innings. The Indians rallied with four in the bottom of the third to cut
the gap to 10-4 but Andover Central responded with six in the top of the fourth.
HHS scored three in the bottom of the inning. ACHS added a run in the sixth for
the run-rule victory.

Riley Dreher, Brynlee Rupp and Avery Solida had two if the
Indians eight hits. Dreher and Alyse Zimmerman both drove in two runs.

Jaylee Summers went the distance for HHS in the circle
surrendering 17 runs (10 earned) on 17 hits with four walks and two strikeouts.

 This back and forth game saw both teams score three in the first and two in
the second. The Indians plated five in the fourth only to see the Crusaders answer
with foru in the bottom of the inning. HHS got a little separation with three
in the fifth and another run in the sixth then held off the Crusaders rally.

and later scored on a wild pitch. Rylynn Davis, who singled, scored on an
error. Brous drove in the Indians final run with a two-out single to put Hays
up 13-9.

Zimmerman had four of the Indians 15 hits and drove in two. Dreher
and Rupp both homered and had three hits. Brous added two hits and drove in
three runs.

Dreher allowed 11 runs (8 earned) on 13 hits with three
strikeouts and one walk for the win in the circle. Becker allowed on run on

⚾📹 Hays High finishes Diamond Classic with Life Prep and TMP

The 2015 Hays Soccer Club boys traveled to Wichita for the 2025 Wichita Spring Invitational May 2-4.

Their first test of the tournament came against a familiar and former Stryker League foe VC Fusion 15B Green from Valley Center. 

The first half started as a back and forth battle between both teams. Bryce Irwin was able to net the first goal for HSC. VC was able to also net a goal to go all square at 1-1. Hays would stat the scoring column two more times in the half, first on an assist from Noah Berges to Daniel Marcano and then later in the half Berges found the net on an assist from Irwin. 

Coming out of the half, ball control and defense were key. An early goal by VC in the 2nd half pulled them within 2-3. Great goal keeping by Ryder Feldt (12 saves in the game), strong play from defenders Miles Mergen, James Summerall, and Reed Sulzman, and enough ball control halted any other scoring as the final score ended 3-2 in HSC’s favor.

The second and afternoon slate was against Wichita native club - Azteca Jr Academy 15B. HSC figured out quickly that this was going to be a much more physical and aggressive match. Finley Zimmerman started the scoring for Hays in the first half on a break away strike. Azteca then scored to knot things up at 1-1. Later off a goalie deflection, Cameron Feldt was able to send the ball back in to put HSC up 2-1. 

Second half defensive effort from James Summerall, C. Feldt, Reed Sulzman, and Miles Mergen, and goals by Daniel Marcano and Ryder Feldt made the final score HSC - 4 / Azteca - 1. &nbsp;Ryder Feldt and Bryce Irwin split the halves as goalies and matched each other with 4 saves.

Just4Kix Lightning 15B, another former Stryker League opponent, was the early Sunday afternoon draw for HSC. Lincoln Hamel and Daniel Marcano put two goals in quickly to put HSC up early 2-0. &nbsp;Coming in at forward in the first half, Ryder Feldt netted his 2nd goal of the tournament on a long free kick. Later in the half on a nice pass from Alex Penka, Noah Berges sent a laser in to put HSC up 4-0. &nbsp;Right before the intermission, Hamel was able to net his second goal of the half for 5 first half goals for Hays. 

It was a “family reunion” to start the second half as Cameron Feldt was able to find cousin Ryder Feldt on a cross for Ryder’s second goal of the game. &nbsp;A fly by the defender gave Marcano his second goal of the day. &nbsp;Later in the half, C. Feldt found Reed Sulzman for his second assist and Sulzman’s first goal. JFKL 15 was able to put 2 in goal late in the 2nd half to end it 8-2 advancing Hays into the championship game. Bryce Irwin and C. Feldt split the game as goalies with 8 and 2 saves each.

In their first Wichita tournament final, HSC met Pool B winner, Black Lightning Bandidos from Wichita. BLB came out quick and aggressive and HSC found themselves down 0-2 midway through the 1st half. Bryce Irwin was able to send a nice goal in to bring HSC closer at 1-2. Another BLB goal put HSC down at the half 1-3. 

Starting the 2nd half, the HSC found their passing game and were able to net Irwin’s second goal of the game on an assist from Noah Berges. Off a corner kick a huge goal was put in by Finley Zimmerman to knot the match at 3-3. &nbsp;A late 2nd half goal by BLB put them up 4-3. HSC dug deep the final 4-5 minutes of the second half to put the pressure on in the BLB box. With 20-30 seconds left in the second half, HSC was awarded a corner kick and converted with Berges netting the pass from the Cameron Feldt kick with 3 seconds left to play. 

As ties are not allowed in championships, penalty kicks to crown the winner ensued. 

After neither team had an advantage after 5 players due to great goalkeeping by Ryder Feldt (5 saves in the game), a sudden death format would decide the champion. HSC’s first shot was just over the top crossbar and BLB was able to score, ending HSC’s tournament as finalist/runner-up.

Hays would stat the scoring column two more times in the half, first on an assist from Noah Berges to Daniel Marcano and then later in the half Berges found the net on an assist from Irwin. Coming out of the half, ball control and defense were key. An early goal by VC in the 2nd half pulled them within 2-3. Great goal keeping by Ryder Feldt (12 saves in the game), strong play from defenders Miles Mergen, James Summerall, and Reed Sulzman, and enough ball control halted any other scoring as the final score ended 3-2 in HSC’s favor.The second and afternoon slate was against Wichita native club - Azteca Jr Academy 15B. HSC figured out quickly that this was going to be a much more physical and aggressive match. Finley Zimmerman started the scoring for Hays in the first half on a break away strike. Azteca then scored to knot things up at 1-1. Later off a goalie deflection, Cameron Feldt was able to send the ball back in to put HSC up 2-1. Second half defensive effort from James Summerall, C. Feldt, Reed Sulzman, and Miles Mergen, and goals by Daniel Marcano and Ryder Feldt made the final score HSC - 4 / Azteca - 1. &nbsp;Ryder Feldt and Bryce Irwin split the halves as goalies and matched each other with 4 saves.Just4Kix Lightning 15B, another former Stryker League opponent, was the early Sunday afternoon draw for HSC. Lincoln Hamel and Daniel Marcano put two goals in quickly to put HSC up early 2-0. &nbsp;Coming in at forward in the first half, Ryder Feldt netted his 2nd goal of the tournament on a long free kick. Later in the half on a nice pass from Alex Penka, Noah Berges sent a laser in to put HSC up 4-0. &nbsp;Right before the intermission, Hamel was able to net his second goal of the half for 5 first half goals for Hays. It was a “family reunion” to start the second half as Cameron Feldt was able to find cousin Ryder Feldt on a cross for Ryder’s second goal of the game. &nbsp;A fly by the defender gave Marcano his second goal of the day. &nbsp;Later in the half, C. Feldt found Reed Sulzman for his second assist and Sulzman’s first goal. JFKL 15 was able to put 2 in goal late in the 2nd half to end it 8-2 advancing Hays into the championship game. Bryce Irwin and C. Feldt split the game as goalies with 8 and 2 saves each.In their first Wichita tournament final, HSC met Pool B winner, Black Lightning Bandidos from Wichita. BLB came out quick and aggressive and HSC found themselves down 0-2 midway through the 1st half. Bryce Irwin was able to send a nice goal in to bring HSC closer at 1-2. Another BLB goal put HSC down at the half 1-3. Starting the 2nd half, the HSC found their passing game and were able to net Irwin’s second goal of the game on an assist from Noah Berges. Off a corner kick a huge goal was put in by Finley Zimmerman to knot the match at 3-3. &nbsp;A late 2nd half goal by BLB put them up 4-3. HSC dug deep the final 4-5 minutes of the second half to put the pressure on in the BLB box. With 20-30 seconds left in the second half, HSC was awarded a corner kick and converted with Berges netting the pass from the Cameron Feldt kick with 3 seconds left to play. As ties are not allowed in championships, penalty kicks to crown the winner ensued. After neither team had an advantage after 5 players due to great goalkeeping by Ryder Feldt (5 saves in the game), a sudden death format would decide the champion. HSC’s first shot was just over the top crossbar and BLB was able to score, ending HSC’s tournament as finalist/runner-up.

Kansas City's Michael Lorenzen gave up just three hits through seven innings, striking out seven and walking none. He was helped by his defense, including a diving stab of a line drive by first baseman Salvador Perez in the fourth.

Hunter Dobbins didn't allow a run in six innings for Boston, though he did have to work around trouble a couple of times. He gave up two hits in the fourth inning and a one-out triple in the fifth.

GODDARD - Kale Schwien placed 5th in Singles at the 5A Regional Tennis Tournament held Friday at Goddard High School. He will complete at the 5A State Tournament in Salina on Friday May 16th.

Schwien received a bye in the first round then lost the next round 6-1, 6-3 to Naman Bhatt of Goddard-Eisenhower.&nbsp;

He defeated Young of Salina Centra 6-1, 6-1 then knocked off Ryddyk Smith of Salina Central 6-3, 6-1 in the fifth-place to qualify for state.

HAYS – The TMP-Marian Monarchs went 1-1 on the first day of
the Hays Diamond Classic, beating Brusch, Colorado, 3-1 and losing to Life Prep
5-0.

Life Prep 5, TMP 0 The Monarchs were shut out for the first time this season in
their first game of the tournament, falling 5-0 to Life Prep.

Life Prep scored two runs in each the second and third
innings. They added a solo run in the sixth inning as well.

The Fire took advantage of an error to score the game’s
first run and then added a sacrifice fly for a 2-0 lead.

Life Prep led off the third with a walk and a two-run home run
for a 4-0 lead. 

The final run for the Fire came on a sacrifice fly in the sixth
inning in a 5-0 victory.

TMP’s Adler Brown and Grant Nehls each collected one hit for
TMP.

Nehls suffered the loss. He allowed two earned runs, four total,
on five hits in four and a third innings. He also walked five.

TMP 3, Brush 1 TMP’s Caden Dinkel allowed just one unearned run in seven innings, and Grant Nehls homered and drove in two runs as the Monarchs took down Brush,
Colorado, 3-1.

The Monarchs struck first, with one out, they loaded the bases
for Nehls, who drove in a run with a sacrifice fly to left field.

After back-to-back scoreless innings, the Monarchs took

HAYS - Jalen Smith pitched a complete game shutout as the Hays High Indians knocked off the Brush Beet Diggers 5-0 Friday evening at Leo-Harper Field.

The night cap of the first day of the Diamond Classic got underway with three runs in the bottom of the first inning for Hays (12-7). Johnny Cano and Jalen Smith led off with singles. Each stole a base and Cano scored on a passed ball for the game's first run.

Brett Rhoades walked later in the inning and Trace Jacobs plated Smith and Rhoades with a single for a 3-0 advantage.

Smith allowed a one out double in the first inning. He and the Indian defense retired the next ten batters. A two-out walk in the fourth ended that streak.

The Indians added a run in each the bottom of the fourth and sixth. Cano singled home Ian McGuire in the fourth for a 4-0 advantage. Cano then laid down a bunt single up the first base line for a 5-0 lead when McGuire again scored. Cano recorded three of the Indians eight hits. McGuire had two hits.

Smith (2-2) worked around trouble in the sixth and seventh innings to earn the victory. The Beet Diggers put two on with nobody out in the sixth. Smith threw out the lead runner at third base on a ground ball for the first out of the inning. Kaleb Roe, Cano and Carter Graham combined for a double play to end the inning on the next at-bat.

Smith loaded the bases in the seventh with one out on a hit-batter and a pair of walks. He then recorded his fifth strikeout and caught an infield pop-up to end the game.

Hays improves to 1-1 at the Diamond Classic. They face Life Prep at 3:45 Saturday and then TMP following that game.

SALINA - The Hays High boys and girls each finished second as a team on Friday in Salina. Manhattan won both of the team titles.

The Hays High girls 4x100 team finished second and set a school record with a time of 49.24. Moriah Hallam, Lyndi Zimmerman, Lynsi Kanak and Kamryn McCall are members of the team. They finished behind Manhattan who ran the fastest 4x100 in state history at 46.84.&nbsp;

Zimmerman and McCall were third and sixth in the 100 meters. McCall finished fourth in the 200 meters. Zimmerman won the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 15.20.&nbsp;

Aralen Maupin finished third in the 400 meters. Cara Cunningham was fourth in the 300 meter hurdles and Zimmerman finished fifth.
