Jessica R. (Young) Turner passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning on April 12,2024, at Via Christi Village, Manhattan Kansas. She was born on August 22,1926 in Hattiesburg, MS to James Cully Ratcliff and Etta (Poole) Ratcliff.

Jessica was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and 2 sisters. She was next to the youngest in a family of 8 children.

She met her future husband, A. Finley Young while he was working for Coleman’s in Hattiesburg, MS. They were united in marriage on August 25, 1946. To this union were born 3 daughters, Patricia Ann, Diana Lynn and Marsha Kay, and one son Keith Wayne who preceded her in death in 1978.They were married for 24 years when Finley died in 1970.

Jessica and Finley raised their children on a farm in Larned KS. She was a busy farmer’s wife feeding harvest crews, planting gardens, helping repair farm equipment when Finley needed assistance. She was a wonderful seamstress, sewing clothes for the daughters, prom dresses and a suit for Keith when he requested, because he felt left out. She competed in the county extension sewing contests; and won top prize.

Jessica decided to go back to work in 1963 part-time at JC Penney in Larned after the children were in school; and continued with that job until 1971. She went to work as &nbsp; bookkeeper in the Pawnee County Treasurers Office and continued that job until her retirement in 1987.

Jessica saw to it that Diana, Marsha and Keith all attended college, and they all graduated from K-State University.

Jessica married Alvah L. Turner on July 23,1982 at Glen Eyrie Castle in Colorado Springs with their children and spouses in attendance.

In 1987 Alvah and Jessica moved to Memphis, TN so he could attend seminary, with the hopes of teaching in a small Christian college. While, he was attending seminary Jessica &nbsp;re-decorated the entire townhouse; and landscaped the courtyard. An undertaking she really enjoyed, even taking a class to learn the particulars of landscape architecture. Jessica enjoyed the city living; and she lived close enough to her siblings in Mississippi to travel to see them often during the 5 years they were in Memphis.

Jessica and Alvah returned to Kansas in 1992 choosing to make their home in Hutchinson, KS. They were active in the Baptist and Methodist churches in Hutchinson as they had a blended faith marriage. This afforded them the opportunity to meet many new friends in Memphis and Hutchinson.

Jessica became a widow for the second time in 2004 when Alvah passed away. She stayed in Hutchinson until she moved to Manhattan KS in 2014, where Patricia and she built townhouses next door to each other.

She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Griffin, Manhattan, Kansas, Diana(Paul) Nickel, Manhattan, Kansas, Marsha K. Young, Greer, South Carolina. Her grandchildren Jason(Felicia) Nickel, Brian(Melissa)Nickel, Juliana(Travis)Myers, Tara(Spencer)Metcalf, and Trent Beaver. She has 10 great-grandchildren.

She is a member of the Blue Hills Baptist Church in Manhattan; was active in the American Baptist Women’s group at the church.

The Celebration of Life will be held at Beckwith Mortuary, 916 Main, Larned, Kansas on Saturday, April 20,2024 at 1:00pm, with Paul Nickel presiding, burial will be in Larned Cemetery following the service.

Janet Frances Fisher, 69, Larned, died Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Diversicare of Larned.

She was born September 22, 1954 in Colby, the fifth of eleven children to George J. and Frances M. (Moellering) Schwarz. In 1973, she graduated from Grinnell High School. Janet was united in marriage to Ronnie Dean Rowlison on June 16, 1973. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1977. On June 3, 1994 she was united in marriage to Thomas A. “Tom” Fisher in Hays, and he preceded her in death on May 26, 2019. She was a lifelong Catholic who possessed a strong devotion to the rosary. Janet loved Christian music, singing in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Choir, tuned in every Sunday morning to Message at the Top, and also enjoyed watching Hallmark Channel movies and EWTN. She was a talented artist, crocheted, knitted and loved making baby afghans.

Survivors include her son, Chris Rowlison of Hays, three daughters, Linda (Rowlison) Montgomery and husband Drew of Manhattan, Lisa (Schwarz) Dinkel and husband Matt, and Janell Schwarz, all of Topeka, four brothers, Ron Schwarz of Great Bend, Ken Schwarz and wife Debra of Topeka, Dennis Schwarz and wife Jane of Oakley, and Bernie Schwarz of Olathe, five sisters, Judith Zerr-Schamberger of Hays, Jeanne Peter of Las Vegas, NV, Marilyn Munk of Russell, Carol Baalman and husband Roger of North Las Vegas, NV, and Angie Feldt and husband Larry of Hays, six grandchildren, Makayla Schwarz, Abbigail Smith, Kinsley Vaughn, Chanse Schwarz, Kennedi Dinkel and Kasen Dinkel, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, Ronnie and Tom, and her brother, Terrence Francis Schwarz.

Donald L. Goscha “Don”, son of Leo M. and Teresa E. (Schorer) Goscha was born in Rural Decatur County, Kansas June 9, 1936, and passed away April 14, 2024, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

At the age of 12, the family moved to Norton County, Kansas where he attended country school through the 8th grade and graduated from Lenora High School in 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1960. Don married Alice Peterson at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norton, Kansas May 28, 1960. To that union four children were born: James Patrick “Pat”, Teresa, Craig, and Ann. They had five grandchildren; granddaughters: Courtney Flores, Erin Sullivan, Maddie Goscha, and Aubrey Goscha; and grandson: Blake Sullivan.

Don worked most of his life and retired from KN Energy as a service technician. As a practicing Catholic, his faith was very important to him, and he remained active in the church, attending St. Francis of Assisi in Norton, Kansas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club.

Survivors include children: Pat Goscha of Atwood, Kansas, Teresa (Alan) Flores of St. Joseph, Missouri, Craig Goscha and Mona Heasty of Lawrence, Kansas, and Annie (John) Sullivan of Great Bend, Kansas; siblings: Imogene Hahn of Denver, Colorado, Jean Riemann (Ronald) of Beloit, Kansas, Evelyn (Chris) McDiffett of Norton, Kansas, Marilyn (Bill) Schrum of Phillipsburg, Kansas, Karen (Max) Parsons of Ness City, Kansas, and Bob (Sandy) Goscha of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

He was born March 8, 1954 in Eads, Colorado, the son of Fred and Elaine (Ingram) Watson. He was a graduate of Beloit High School, attended Fort Hays State University, and was a self-employed home and business painter. He married Jill Buckland, and they divorced and then later, he married Sharon Jackson, and they divorced. Roger was a talented drummer with the band Kim and Dixie and loved 70s music, dogs, snow skiing, and spending time with his friends, family, and grandchildren.

Survivors include his mother, Elaine Watson of Hays, two sons, Travis Watson and wife Monica of Hays and Tyler Watson and fiancé Crystal of Manhattan, three daughters, Stacie Dupree and husband Devin of Houston, TX, Heather McMillan of Topeka and Carla McGregor and husband Mark of Garden City, four sisters, Deb Rixon and husband Craig of McCracken, Leann Hughes and husband Walter of Oakley, Janiece Bradstreet and husband Bill of Scott City, and Vanessa Reed and husband Henry of Dighton 13 grandchildren, Kirsten Alltop, Christian Dupree, Makenzie Bell, Traeton McMillan, Kenny Bounds, Beaux Watson, Marcayla and Malaya McGregor, and Jaycine, Addison, Cayden, Haven, and Annistyn Watson, and one great grandchild, Deandre Bounds.

Marilyn Jean Lannerd, 85, of Hill City, Kansas died April 12, 2024 at her home. She was born May 17, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana To Dewitt and Bertha (Rutledge) Schiedler. She is survived by her daughters Tina (Pete) Riss of Hill City and Joyce McConnell of Morrison, Colorado; her sons: Mike Lannerd of Denver, Colorado, Max Lannerd of Edgewater, Colorado, and Mark (Lisa) Lannerd of Thornton, Colorado; and six grandchildren.

Emma Arlene Cline, age 88, was born on April 9, 1936, in Ness City, Kansas the daughter of Fred Lawrence and Emma Irene (Fercking) Coker. &nbsp;She was number 8 in a family of 13 children. &nbsp;Arlene always said she was a daddy’s girl. &nbsp;

John Cline, Jr. and Emma Arlene were married on June 9, 1953, in Ness City. &nbsp;They later moved to WaKeeney where they raised their four children.&nbsp;

Arlene attended school in Ness City but earned her GED in WaKeeney from the Trego School graduating in 1972. &nbsp;She worked at the Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital for 7 years, then at Hays Travenol for 11 years until they closed the plant. &nbsp;She then went back to TCLM Hospital for another 7 years, then retired.

Arlene was a member of the Eta Nu chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha Sorority. &nbsp;She also was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Eve Circle. Arlene enjoyed making and decorating all kinds of cake for any celebration. &nbsp;She also enjoyed watching TV and game shows of all kinds. &nbsp;She also read, put puzzles together and looked up family histories on her Grand Pad. &nbsp;Arlene loved camping, fishing, and hunting game of all kinds, family reunions, and celebrations.

She is survived by her sons, Daniel and Cynthia Cline and Randy and Sandra Cline; her grandchildren, Andrew (Caralee) Cline, Brandon (Tammy) Cline, Candance (Jason) Jewert, Jason (Jamie) Cline and Matthew (Jody) Cline; great grandchildren, Chase Cline, Kaylee Jewert, Lizebeth Cline, Emma Cline, William Cline, A.J Cline, Alex Cline, Aleigh Cline, Colin Cline, and Aden Cline. &nbsp;Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Cline, Jr.; her son, John Allen Cline; and her daughter, Linda Kathleen Cline; and her 12 siblings. &nbsp;

Visitation will be held at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney, Kansas, on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. &nbsp;The funeral service will be at the First United Methodist Church, WaKeeney on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. followed by burial in the WaKeeney Cemetery.

Kendall Gale Wagenblast age 72, passed away at the Hutchinson Regional Hospital in Hutchinson, KS. He was born the son of Harold &amp; Alma (Grieb) Wagenblast on September 11, 1951 in Smith Center, KS.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold &amp; Alma, and a brother Johnny Wagenblast.

Dorothy Applonia Nolan, born June 30, 1929, in Tribune, Kansas, to Joseph A Bender and Matilda Billinger Bender, peacefully passed away on April 10, 2024, in Dighton, Kansas, at the age of 94. Dorothy was one of nine children. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

Dorothy spent her formative years in Tribune, KS, where she married Ralph F. Nolan on June 30th, 1947, in Tribune. Together, they raised six children: Lorraine, Daniel, Suzann, Jeffrey, Rodney, and Dale. Dorothy's dedication extended beyond her family as she worked tirelessly on the farm while nurturing her children. Following her divorce, she relocated to Leoti, Kansas. Dorothy then married Charlie Atkinson in Leoti, KS, on November 22, 1975. They made their home in Dighton, Kansas, and owned and operated Charlie’s body shop and a Kawasaki dealership. He passed away on January 12, 1991. Dorothy married Bob Heinz of Garden City, KS on August 28th, 1992. They moved to Pottsboro, TX and lived on Lake Texoma. They ran Stripper Storage Units. Bob passed away April 6, 2012. Then Dorothy moved back to Dighton.

She is survived by five children: Daniel Nolan &amp; Kris Escott of Faith, South Dakota; Suzann &amp; Bill McWhirter of Dighton, Kansas; Jeff and Kathy Nolan of Tribune, Kansas; Rod and Dona Nolan of Garden City, Kansas; Dale and Lesa Nolan, Tribune, Kansas; her brother Larry and Ellie Bender of San Antonio, TX; her sister Barbara Tripp of Las Vegas, NV; and her youngest brother James and Ruth Bender who reside in Wichita, Kansas. Grandchildren: Tonya Shull, Carrie Vandiver, Justin Nolan, Josh Nolan, Chelsi Nolan-Santy, Dustin McWhirter, Abby Bencomo, Brooke Burrison, Katie Wecker, Miranda Nolan, Anson Nolan, Shantel Foster, Tanner Nolan, and Felisha Smith. 21 great-grandkids and 8 great-great grandkids.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Lorraine, and one grandson, Brandon, as well as three brothers: Joseph Bender, Joseph A. Bender, George Bender, and two sisters: Albina Bender and Arlene Bender.

Dorothy's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family and her commitment to hard work. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Lucille Rae Jacobs passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at the Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center, KS. She was born May 27, 1936, in Osborne, KS to Leland and Ruby (Walker) Maupin.

Lucy enjoyed gardening, sewing, her and Victor were members of the Jolly Mixer’s Square Dancers, and she had a strong faith in God.

Lucy was married to Loren Curry until his untimely passing. On February 14, 1965, she married Victor Jacobs. This union were parents to two children, Laura and Daniel.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband Victor and many in-laws and other family members.

She is survived by her children Laura Jacobs of Hays, KS and Daniel (Sabrina) of Smith Center, KS; sister Gloria Kay (Katy) Herrman of Russell, KS; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Sandra Phyllis Beattie Rothnie Aschenbrenner Gaede, 77, of Colby, KS, met her Lord and Savior on April 11, 2024, at Citizens Medical Center in Colby, KS after a well fought battle with cancer. She was born March 9, 1947, in Montrose, Scotland to William and Jessie (Matthew) Rothnie.

Sandra graduated from the Montrose Academy where she excelled in swimming and sewing. As the youngest of 11 children, she had lots of protective siblings, yet she met a sailor - John Leo Aschenbrenner of the U.S. Navy, hometown of Brewster, Kansas. They married in Montrose on October 17, 1969, and had three daughters and one son. John passed on June 20, 1978, and Sandra married James Allan Gaede on December 29, 1979, and had a daughter.

Sandra loved being a mother and a homemaker. She excelled at a variety of crafts including sewing, knitting, crocheting, and quilting. Her family treasures the matching outfits, quilts, and decorations she’s shared throughout the years. She was a fierce competitor in all things, especially croquet and cards. Sandra was active in volunteer work, serving on the Sacred Heart School Council, CCD teacher, Queen Mary Circle and even a Cub Scout Leader. After her children had grown, Sandra volunteered for Emergency Pregnancy Services.

Sandra was preceded in death by husband, John; her parents, William and Jessie; eight siblings, William, Jess Mitchell, Elizabeth Conroy, Andrew, Robert, Patricia Clark, Alexander and a brother who died at birth; in-laws Steven and Thresia (Weber) Aschenbrenner and Fred and Mable (Jenik) Gaede.

She is survived by her husband, James Gaede, of Colby; her children, Jennifer (Jim) McKinnon, of Topeka, Suzanna (Lloyd) Koel, of Atwood, Sandra Kim Aschenbrenner (Bob Braun) of Lenexa, John (Angi) Aschenbrenner of Leon and Jessica (Chad) Poe of Great Bend; grandchildren, Nicole (Logan) McGinley, Ian McKinnon, Emilee Sack, Jade and Carson Poe, Joseph Dozbaba, Nicholas (Skylar) Koel and Anthony Koel; great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Declan McGinley and Henley and Preston Koel; siblings, Margaret (David) Ewan, John Rothnie and many other family and friends.

Craig Nolan Lund, 38, of Manhattan Kansas passed away Friday April 5th, 2024.

Born January 5th, 1986, he was the son of Rod Lund and the late Betty Timbers Lund of Natoma, KS. He grew up and received his education in Osborne, graduating from Osborne High School with the class of 2004.

Growing up on the farm Craig enjoyed the outdoors, hunting coyotes and deer but developed a deep interest in anything automotive. From a very young age he was mechanically inclined, taking apart and putting back together whatever he could. He had a love for fast cars, a good coyote wagon and muddin’. As a result of this he spent many years working for auto parts stores and automotive shops in and around the Manhattan area.

In October of 2007 Craig welcomed daughter Jasia into the world and loved spending time with her, watching her participate in sports and events and was awed like many by her artistic talent.

Craig enjoyed time with friends, being a little mischievous with that sly grin, and a cold one.

He is survived by his daughter Jasia. His father Rod Lund and wife Sherrill of Osborne. Brothers Brady Lund Glen Elder and Josh Worley Osborne, as well as sister Sasha Schultze of Osborne and his Paternal grandmother Janice Lund of Waldo.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Timbers Lund, grandparents Roy and Dorothy Timbers, and Grandfather Lowell Lund.

Services will be held Thursday April 18th at 10:30 am at the Osborne County Fairgrounds Racetrack with a private burial later.

Marilyn “Anne” Ochs, age 77, of Quincy died on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. in Sunset Home. Anne was born in Iola, Kan. on Oct. 1,1945, a daughter of Cody and Marie (Riedel) Ochs.&nbsp;

Professionally, she was a Banker beginning her career in 1972 with Intrust Bank of Wichita, Kan. from where she retired on Oct. 1, 1995. &nbsp;

She attended Mount St. Mary’s Convent in Wichita, Kan. and St. Mary of the Plains Boarding School in Dodge City, Kan. and Hoisington High School in Hoisington, Kan. where she was raised.

Anne was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Quincy.&nbsp;

Anne had lived in many places, including Bethany, Okla., Moscow, Idaho, Carson City, Nev., Wichita, Kan., Mexico, Mo., Denver, and Loveland, Colo. and Quincy, Ill. When her boys were youths, she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Anne sang in various church choirs and in her free time she liked doing crafts.&nbsp;

She is survived by her sons, Anthony J. McDowell and Andrew Martin Funk. A grandson, Jacob A. Bell; one brother, Darrell Wolf; two sisters, Susan M. Engelhart and Nancy Shackelford; son-in-law, John C. Berrey and daughter-in-law, Diem Tran. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, and brother C. Joseph Ochs.

Anne was born in Iola, Kan. on Oct. 1,1945, a daughter of Cody and Marie (Riedel) Ochs.&nbsp;Professionally, she was a Banker beginning her career in 1972 with Intrust Bank of Wichita, Kan. from where she retired on Oct. 1, 1995. &nbsp;She attended Mount St. Mary’s Convent in Wichita, Kan. and St. Mary of the Plains Boarding School in Dodge City, Kan. and Hoisington High School in Hoisington, Kan. where she was raised.Anne was a member of the Church of St. Peter in Quincy.&nbsp;Anne had lived in many places, including Bethany, Okla., Moscow, Idaho, Carson City, Nev., Wichita, Kan., Mexico, Mo., Denver, and Loveland, Colo. and Quincy, Ill. When her boys were youths, she served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. Anne sang in various church choirs and in her free time she liked doing crafts.&nbsp;She is survived by her sons, Anthony J. McDowell and Andrew Martin Funk. A grandson, Jacob A. Bell; one brother, Darrell Wolf; two sisters, Susan M. Engelhart and Nancy Shackelford; son-in-law, John C. Grandchildren: Tonya Shull, Carrie Vandiver, Justin Nolan, Chelsi Nolan-Santy, Dustin McWhirter, Abby Bencomo, Brooke Burrison, Katie Wecker, Miranda Darnell, Anson Nolan, Shantel Foster, Shanda Smith, Stefanie Collins, Tanner Nolan, and Felisha Smith. 21 great-grandkids and 8 great-great grandkids.

Dorothy was one of nine children. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.Dorothy spent her formative years in Tribune, KS, where she married Ralph F. Nolan on June 30th, 1947, in Tribune. Together, they raised six children: Lorraine, Daniel, Suzann, Jeffrey, Rodney, and Dale. Dorothy's dedication extended beyond her family as she worked tirelessly on the farm while nurturing her children. Following her divorce, she relocated to Leoti, Kansas. Dorothy then married Charlie Atkinson in Leoti, KS, on November 22, 1975. They made their home in Dighton, Kansas, and owned and operated Charlie’s body shop and a Kawasaki dealership. He passed away on January 12, 1991. Dorothy married Bob Heinz of Garden City, KS on August 28th, 1992. They moved to Pottsboro, TX and lived on Lake Texoma. They ran Stripper Storage Units. Bob passed away April 6, 2012. She was born December 31, 1936 in Great Bend, the daughter of Raymond and Viola Boese Ellis.

A lifetime area resident, she was an administrative assistant at Larned State Hospital where she retired after 29 years. She was a member of Rozel United Methodist Church, various Bridge Groups and the Sweet Adelines. She enjoyed singing in her church growing up, playing the steal guitar and drums, word search puzzles, reading, computer games and playing Mahjong.

Survivors include: two daughters, Angela (Michael) McThomas, Andover, New Jersey, Tamara Patterson, Wichita; one brother, Dan (Becky) Ellis, Great Bend; one Daughter-in-law, Kathy Patterson, Larned; three grandchildren, Brittany (Josh) Detherage, Jess McThomas and Jordan Hawk; two great grandchildren, Courtney (Carson) Kettelhake, Jaiden Detherage; one great-great granddaughter, Daisy Kettelhake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, David Patterson, and a grandson, Shawn Valentine.

Jackie L. Skelton, 88, passed away April 11, 2024 at Diversicare of Larned.

He was born December 11, 1935 in Larned, the son of Nelse N. and Mary Ruth Hazel Combs Skelton.

A lifetime area resident, he worked for the City of Larned for thirty-seven years. He was a member of First Chrisian Church, Larned, National Guard, and enjoyed going to coffee, spending time with his dogs, hunting, fishing, and cruising around town. He also liked scratch off tickets and going to the casino.

On April 8, 1963 he married Connie Lou Hatfield at Alva, Oklahoma; she survives. Jack and Connie just celebrated sixty-one years together.

Other survivors include: three sons, Rick Skelton, Danny Skelton, and Randy Skelton, all of Denver, Colorado; three daughters, Tina (Steve) Kirk, Parker, Colorado, Jacquie (Brad) Walters, Rifle, Colorado, Lisa (Steve) Spain, Larned; numerous grandchildren, including: Chelsy (Charles) Skelton, Brandi (Jordan) Sharp, Jordanne Oleson, Kiley (Alexis) Larsen, Kandra (Brandon) Becerra, Derek Walters, Shaina (Daniel) Nunn, Allisa (Ty) Spain, Natalie (Caleb) Spain; numerous great grandchildren, including: Owen, Cody, Everett, Kameron, Payson, Preslee, Jaxton, Bristole, Cash, and Baylor; and many nieces and nephews.

The world lost an outdoorsman on April 10, 2024, when Walter “Wray” Raymond Decker, III, age 77, of Hays, KS. passed away peacefully in his sleep. &nbsp;He was born on May 30, 1946, the son of Walter “Walt” Raymond Decker Jr and Evelyn (Yandell) Decker/Damron in Topeka, KS. &nbsp;He graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka in 1964 and later earned his Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology and his Master of Science in Technical Teacher Education.

Wray was united in marriage to Sandra Sprague in 1966 and they had 5 children. &nbsp;They later divorced and Wray married Mary Johnson/Sazma in 1993. &nbsp; They remained married until Mary’s death in 2008. &nbsp;

In his early teens, Wray's venturesome soul took him hitchhiking throughout the country. &nbsp; Later in life, that same need for adventure allowed him to take on a career in catastrophe insurance adjusting that allowed him to travel the United States. &nbsp;Most of his professional career he taught Automotive Technology at the college level. &nbsp;His work ethic had a huge influence on his children. Wray also had a love for motorsports. &nbsp; He began racing motorcycles at an early age and raced sprint cars in the 1960’s. &nbsp;He had NASCAR or some form of racing on TV if given the chance.

Wray was an avid hunter, fisherman, trapper, and traveler. He loved to fish and set trotlines. &nbsp;His love of exploration took him to Wyoming, South Dakota, Alaska, Canada and numerous other places to experience the outdoors. &nbsp;During the 1980's, Wray was an avid furbearer. &nbsp;He took his kids on many vacations from Alley Springs, MO to South Carolina to Ontario, Canada and places in between. &nbsp;

Wray lived throughout Kansas in Topeka, Pittsburg, White Cloud, Iola, Spearville and Hays.

Wray was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary (Johnson/Sazma) Decker and great grandson Zeya Reign Htet. &nbsp;

He is survived by his children - daughter Shannon (Decker) Martin and husband Grady, Dexter, KS; son Walter (Ramo) Raymond Decker IV and wife Pam, Sylvan Grove, KS; daughter Shonda Decker, Las Vegas, NV; son Travis Decker and wife Holly, Russell, KS; and son Brandon Decker and wife Kala, Hays, KS, &nbsp;along with his sister Crystal (Decker) Kennedy, Berryton, KS, brother Ted Decker, Perry, KS, and sister Jan (Decker) McDaniel, Lanexa, VA.

He is also survived by his grandkids - Micah (Thom) Waggoner (Andy), Riley Thom (Reagan, Wade Martin, Wyatt Martin, Kerstin Decker, Kelsey Decker, Walter (Ray) Raymond Decker V, Dalyn (Cooke) Htet (Shine), Hayden Wisner, Kaysen Wisner, Ashton Decker, Liberty Decker, Bo Decker, Kadence Decker, Karoline Decker, Kannon Decker, and Kallen Decker.

He is survived by the following great grandkids as well - Braylee Waggoner, Blaine Waggoner, and Zyla Htet.

Virginia Lee Dechant, age 72, of Hays, Kansas, passed away on April 9, 2024, at Hays Medical Center. Born on January 1, 1952, in Hays to Virgil and Barbara (Pfeifer) Dreiling.

She was a seamstress at Stromgren in Hays. Despite facing the challenges brought by a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis at a young age Virginia remained steadfast in her pursuits, demonstrating a remarkable spirit. In her leisure time, Virginia found joy in simple pleasures. Thrift shopping and exploring yard sales brought excitement to her days, as did the companionship of her beloved fur baby, Bear. But perhaps her greatest source of happiness was found in the precious moments spent with her grandchildren. Whether it was babysitting or simply sharing in their laughter, Virginia cherished every opportunity to be with them.

She is survived by her son, Brian Dechant, of Hays; and her daughter, Michelle Schultz, of Russell, KS; her brother, Virgil Dreiling of Hays; her grandchildren, Ciera Pfanenstiel, Cassandra Guy, Lacy Herndon, Brittany Dechant, and Brandon Dechant. Additionally, she leaves behind great-grandchildren, Gage and Riggens Pfanenstiel, Brynlee, and Annabelle Guy, and Adrianne Clark.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Barbara, and her sister, Jodi Blake.

He was born July 25, 1986 in Hays, the son of Tim and Jackie (Schmidt) Jones.&nbsp; John was a 2004 graduate of Victoria High School and on September 29, 2012 was united in marriage to Aubrey Dreiling in Victoria.&nbsp; He worked for T&amp;J Construction and Weld-Tech, and would take on various other jobs doing concrete sandblasting and shingling.&nbsp; He loved playing cards with his family and friends, cooking and grilling, and celebrating the Fourth of July.

Survivors include his wife, Aubrey and children, Cooper and Georgia Jones all of Victoria, his parents, Tim and Jackie Jones of Hays, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cletus and RoseAnn Dreiling of Victoria, his sister, Niki Smith and husband Anthony of Hays, a brother-in-law, Tyler Dreiling and wife Tricia of Leavenworth, a sister-in-law, Chelsey Dreiling of Topeka, and three nieces and a nephew, Emma and Julie Smith, Hayden and Tanner Dreiling.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; She was born on September 9, 1930, in Victoria, Kansas to Otto R. and Ottilia (Graf) Brungardt.&nbsp; Rita married Laverne P.&nbsp;Wolf&nbsp;on April 11, 1953, at Victoria, Kansas.&nbsp; He preceded her in death on May 26, 2007.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Rita was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a farmer’s wife, and a homemaker.&nbsp; She worked at Field Abstract Company as a bookkeeper, Singer Sewing Center, and Travenol Labs. all of Hays.&nbsp; Rita moved to the Legend at Capital Ridge in the winter of 2021.&nbsp; She grew up in Victoria and was a graduate of Victoria High School.&nbsp; She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, and her family.&nbsp; Rita was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, Christian Mothers, and American Legion Auxiliary all of Hays.&nbsp;
