Robert L. “Bob” Koerner, 89, Hays, died Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Via Christi Village.

He was born June 9, 1932, in Hays, the 
son of Albert and Veronica (Dinges) Koerner.&nbsp; He was a graduate of Hays 
High School, and for 35 years was a custodian at Wilson Elementary 
School, where he was known by all as Grandpa.&nbsp; On July 24, 1954, he was 
united in marriage to Betty L. Urbanek in Hays, and they were married 
nearly 35 years before she died on May 2, 1989.&nbsp; His memberships 
included St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Third Degree 
Knights of Columbus Council #1325.&nbsp; He enjoyed fishing, was a great 
storyteller and enjoyed visiting, never knew a stranger, and would greet
 everyone with a smile.

Survivors include his son: Tim Koerner 
and wife Doreen of Victoria, daughter: Debbie Eller and husband Tony of 
Ellis, eight grandchildren: Michelle Slinkard and husband Duston, Amanda
 Moore and husband Jess, Keith Ashcraft and wife Laura, Dylan Eller and 
fiancé Sarah Eaton, Isaac Eller and wife Laura, Lindsey Lisenby and 
husband Jeremy, Scott Koerner and wife Janelle, and Evan Koerner and 
wife Linnea, and 13 great grandchildren:&nbsp; Carly Koerner, Jackson 
Koerner, Charlotte Velock, Barrett Koerner, Dorance Koerner, Shelby 
Lisenby, Eli Lisenby, Caden Moore, Riley Moore, Emma Ashcraft, Josie 
Eller, Colten Anderson, and Amelia Anderson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 
10:00 am on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with
 Fr. Richard Daise officiating.&nbsp; Burial will follow in St. Joseph 
Cemetery.&nbsp; Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 on Wednesday and 
from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Thursday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral
 Home.&nbsp; A vigil service will be at 5:30 pm followed by a Third Degree 
Knights of Columbus rosary, all on Wednesday at the funeral home.&nbsp;

Robert L. 'Bob' Koerner

Beverly Fitzhugh, 75, of Excelsior Springs, MO, died and went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on April 13, 2022. She died at home after a relatively short battle with lung cancer.

Bev was born October 19, 1946, in Norton, KS, to Jim and Doris Jean Fitzhugh.

She is survived by three brothers, David Fitzhugh, Rodney Fitzhugh, and Mike Fitzhugh, and one sister, Peggy Vertiz; two children, Robert (Bob) Fitzpatrick and Deena Province; eight grandchildren, Lewie, Shay, Sadie, Sarah, Eli, Emerson, Alexis (deceased), Amanda; and four great-grandchildren.

Bev was a devout Christian and a faithful member of the Excelsior Springs Church until the day of her death. She ran a photography business from 1968 until 2010 when she had to quit for health reasons.&nbsp; For a hobby, she enjoyed doing needle work including cross-stitch and crocheting.

She will be sorely missed by her family, church, friends, and fellow residents at The Oaks.

Funeral services were April 15, 2022, at the Bross &amp; Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO.&nbsp;

Shasta S. Crum passed away peacefully Wednesday, 
April 20, 2022, at her home in Salina, KS after battling brain cancer. 
Shasta was born on June 4, 1984, in Salina, KS. 

She graduated from South 
High School in 2002, then attended Fort Hays University and Bethany 
College. Shasta married Steven, the love of her life in 2009 and 
welcomed their 1st of 5 daughters in 2011. Shasta was a wonderful wife, 
mother &amp; daughter with a beautiful soul. She radiated such a 
positive light and was always a joy to be around. She was a diabetic 
champion for 30 years, never letting it hold her back in any way. Shasta
 blessed us all with her infectious smile, laugh, beautiful voice &amp; 
love for all. She will be missed dearly.

Shasta is survived by her husband, Steven; daughters: Amara, Tiana, 
Olivia, Nalia and Bianca. Mother &amp; Stepfather, Mary Lu &amp; Dale 
Triplitt; stepbrother, Joshua F. Triplitt; grandmothers, Elizabeth 
(Betty) Bachofer, Jane Rogge &amp; Glenda Triplitt. Mother in Law &amp; 
Father in Law, Sara &amp; Galen Crum. She was preceded in death by her 
grandfathers, Daniel J. Bachofer, Dr. Reverend Stan Rogge &amp;

Vivian Marie Collicott, 80, passed away April 21, 2022, at her home 
in Wichita. She was born on January 6, 1942, at Hays, to V. Francis 
&amp; Viola (Windholz) Weigel. She married Larry Collicott on August 27,
 1960, at Great Bend.

Vivian grew up in Gorham and was currently a Wichita resident, having
 previously lived in Great Bend. She worked in department store retail 
and later worked as a bookkeeper for Larry’s Body Shop. She was a member
 of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Vivian 
enjoyed traveling and decorating but especially loved spending time with
 her family.

Survivors include, her husband of the home, Larry Collicott; a son, 
Greg Collicott of Hanceville, Ala.; a daughter, Brenda Collicott of 
Wichita; a brother, Cecil Weigel and wife Ruth of Gorham; a sister, 
Cindy Cockrell and husband Charlie of Gorham; four grandchildren, Cooper
 Hammersmith, Max Collicott, Mary Collicott and William Collicott. She 
was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brad Collicott; and a 
sister, Carrie Weigel.&nbsp;

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2022,

Vivian Marie Collicott

Carol Jean Grauerholz Jacobs, 77, of Smith Center, Kansas passed away 
peacefully on April 21, 2022, surrounded by family after a long battle 
with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia at Smith County Memorial Hospital, 
Smith Center.
 She was born on April 23, 1944 in Kensington, Kansas, the daughter 
of Louie and Zelma Diercks Grauerholz. She was baptized on May 21, 1944
 and confirmed on March 22, 1959 at St. John Lutheran Church in 
Kensington. Carol grew up in Kensington, Kansas and graduated from 
Kensington High School in 1962. 
 On September 23, 1962, Carol and Doug Terrill were united in 
marriage at St. John Lutheran Church in Kensington. They were blessed 
with two boys, John and Jay.
 On September 15, 1979, Carol and Kenneth Jacobs were united in 
marriage at American Lutheran Church in Smith Center. They were blessed
 with one boy, Michael.
 Carol worked at various bookkeeping jobs throughout her working 
life. After moving to Smith Center in 1972, she started working at 
Boogaarts grocery store. Later on, she worked at Smith County Implement
 and served as the financial secretary at the American Lutheran Church 
for many years.
 Carol enjoyed all of her grandkids activities as they grew up. She 
also was very active in the American Lutheran Church. Also, she was a 
big sports fan, following all of the local sports teams. She always 
knew what games were next to watch on TV, keeping a list of games handy 
so she didn’t miss any of her teams to watch. 
 Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth of the home.

and Michael Jacobs of Smith Center, KS. Grandchildren, Trenton (Kari)

Austin James Heier

Marcella Mae (Menke) Hauser, 88, of Grand Island, Nebraska, passed away April 3, 2022, to be with her Lord and Savior. 
Funeral services were Saturday, April 9, at the
 Columbus Berean Church with Pastor Jim Reynolds officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berean 
Church in either Columbus or Grand Island. 
Marcella was born June 20, 1933, in Columbus, NE to William John and Ida 
Mae (Schwanke) Menke. Being the oldest daughter, she spent her youth 
working on the farm with her three sisters and two brothers and 
graduated from Columbus High School. Marcella became a teacher and 
worked her way through college. She started her teaching career at 
District #4 and District 2. The next 43 years of teaching took place 
between Fremont, David City, and finally Columbus as she retired at the 
age of 61. Marcella loved teaching and working with kids and she would 
brag about “her other kids” all the time. 
Marcella and Raymond M. Hauser were married on August 14, 1963, in 
Cheyenne, Wyoming. They spent the next 52 years together before Ray 
passed away in 2015. 
Marcella also loved quilting. She often would say that a quilt would 
tell a story and represent so many beautiful things. Combined, Marcella
 had made over one hundred quilts in her lifetime. 
Survivors include her two sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren, 
Keith, Jen, Hadley, Tessa and Roman Hauser of Norton, Kansas; and John, 
Libby and Lauren Hauser of Grand Island; brother George Menke of 
Columbus; Sisters Ruthie Durkop, Luella (Ray) Luchsinger, and Vernice 
Voigt of Columbus, and step-children Margaret Pierson, Karen Berry, Mary
 Jennings, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. 
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Hauser, parents,
 William and Ida Menke, brother, Dwayne Menke, sisters-in-law Gen Menke,
 Judy Menke, Catherine Wibbels; brothers-in-law, Edwin Voigt, Dale

Marcella Mae (Menke) Hauser

Rosamary “Jo” Joyce Gregor was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, 
sister and friend. She left this world suddenly on Monday, April 18, 
2022, at the age of 74. She was surrounded by family at Saint Luke’s 
Heart Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on October 31st, 
1947, in Syracuse, KS. She was the daughter of Thomas Whalen and Evelyn 
“E.I.” Whalen. Jo married James Jacob “J.J.” Gregor on September 20, 
1975 in Leoti, KS. He died on February 18th, of 2013. 
She spent all of her school years at Leoti and graduated from Leoti with
 a high school diploma with the class of 1965. She attended college 
before marrying J.J. Gregor and moving to Pendennis, KS. There she spent
 her time working for the First State Bank of Healy as a bank clerk and 
retired in 2015 as the Assistant Cashier after working there for over 30
 years. She also served on the board for Lane County Library and The 
American Legion Auxiliary. 
Survived by her two sons – Jason James Gregor of Lees Summit, MO and 
Josh Whalen Gregor and his wife Lauren of Shawnee, KS. She was a proud 
grandma to Logan and Reagan Gregor. She is also survived by one sister 
and two brothers – Penny (Greg) Smith of San Antonio, TX, Rex (Patti) 
and Major (Cheryl) Whalen of Leoti, KS. She was proceeded in death by 
her parents and her husband. She enjoyed spending time outdoors working 
in her garden and watching butterflies and birds. She always loved 
cheering on her Kansas Jayhawks and was ecstatic seeing them win another
 National Championship. Her loving smile will be missed. 
Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, April 28 at First Baptist
 Church in Scott City with Rev Kyle Evans officiating. Burial at a 
later date will be in Whiterock Cemetery in Pendennis.

Johnny H. Carson, age 90 years, of Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on
 Wednesday morning, April 20, 2022, at Ellinwood District Hospital in 
Ellinwood, Kansas.&nbsp; Johnny was born on June 1, 1931, at Oklahoma City, 
Oklahoma, to Edwin L. and Susie (Hamilton) Carson.&nbsp; He was united in 
marriage to Betty Brite on November 1, 1952, at Fayetteville, Arkansas.&nbsp; 
The couple had been residents of Great Bend since 1966.&nbsp; Johnny worked 
as a Derrick Man in the oilfield for 13 years, then worked as Lead Saw 
Man for Marlette Manufactured Homes and in the Maintenance Department of
 Cherry Village Long Term Care, all of Great Bend, Kansas.&nbsp; He enjoyed 
building furniture, hunting and fishing, and gardening – especially 
raising peanuts.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Carson of Great Bend, 
Kansas; three sons:&nbsp; Benny H. Carson of Great Bend, Kansas, Dennis D. 
Carson of Norman, Arkansas, and Gordon L. (&amp; Kathy) Carson of Great 
Bend, Kansas; two daughters:&nbsp; Rhonda Y. Herren and Lori J. (&amp; Mike) 
Felsburg, both of Great Bend, Kansas; 14 grandchildren, 38

Lois Eileen Hickel, 84, passed away on April 21, 2022, at home in 
Salina, Kansas. She was born on June 14, 1937, to Harry &amp; Mildred 
(Wisehart) Elliott in Ransom. She married Edward Hickel on July 21, 
1954, in Great Bend. He passed away on March 18, 1992.

A Salina resident in her later years, Lois also resided in Great Bend
 and Lawrence. She held a cosmetology license for over forty years but 
spent most of her working career empowering and training special needs 
adults at Cottonwood, Inc., in Lawrence. Lois was a member of the 
American Legion Auxiliary and did a lot of volunteer work. She was an 
artist, enjoying ceramics, arts and crafts, crocheting, knitting, 
poetry, listening to music, and painting anything that would hold still.
 She had a passion for bowling. Lois especially loved spending time with
 her family.

Survivors include, two sons, Jim (Karol) Hickel of Gardner and Jerry 
Hickel of Salina; a daughter, Tammy (Bill) Bowers of Lawrence; seven 
grandchildren, Brandon Hickel, Jamie Geist, Jerry Hickel Jr., Chris 
Wilkinson, Tava Cook, Melissa Smith, Kelcy Werts; twelve 
great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a dedicated 
family friend, Richard “R.C.” Sears. She was preceded in death by her 
husband; her parents; two brothers, Robert and Darold Elliott; a sister,
 Joan Keener; and a daughter-in-law, Sheila.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 9:00

David Wayne Beck, 66, passed away on April 22, 2022, at Azria Health 
in Great Bend, Kansas. He was born on September 7, 1955, at Des Moines, 
Iowa, to Vern &amp; Irene Beck. David married Kelly Kloxin on September 
7, 1981, in Great Bend. She died on May 03, 2018.

David was a resident of Great Bend, having previously lived in 
Galesburg, Ill., and Oskaloosa, Iowa. He worked as a drilling hand in the
 oil field.

Survivors include two daughters: Ricci (Trinity) Hood and Kodi Beck 
(David Tucker), all of Hoisington; and eight grandchildren. He is 
preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Mike Beck; and a 
sister, Connie Beck.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A private

Larry Dean Doskocil, 90, died April 21, 2022, at Hospice House.&nbsp; He 
was born May 2, 1931, in Pratt, to Frank and Mary (Pierpoint) Doskocil.

Larry graduated from Pratt High School in 1949, and received his 
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Southern Nazarene University, 
Bethany, OK, after a two-year enlistment in the Army.&nbsp; Larry’s interests
 were many and varied but his passions revolved around his church, his 
businesses, and his family.&nbsp; Most notably, Larry founded Doskocil Food 
Companies in South Hutchinson, KS which eventually became the dominant 
supplier of meat toppings for pizza chains such as Pizza Hut, 
Godfather’s Pizza, Domino’s Pizza and ShowBiz Pizza.

In 1957, Larry married Jacquelin L. Hoxsey.&nbsp; She died May 16, 1989.&nbsp; On June 7, 1991, he married Joan Crew, in Olathe.

Larry is survived by:&nbsp; his wife of over 30 years, Joan Doskocil of 
Hutchinson; children, Rogena “Gena” Jennings (Steve) of Moundridge and 
Justin Doskocil (Nicole) of Birmingham, AL; bonus sons, Bob Crew 
(Sharon) of Olathe and Gregory Crew (Wendi) of Brooksville, FL; sisters,
 Beth McFall (Pat) of Wichita and Nell Rogene McCawley of Hutchinson; 
grandchildren, Austin Jacques, Tymber Allen, Hunter Armbrister, Taylor

Larry Dean Doskocil

Carolyn Jean Boyd was born March 25, 1954, in Lexington, NE to James Eugene Boyd and Wilma Vernell (Shuler) Boyd. She is survived by her brother John and Carrie Boyd of Stilwell, KS, sister-in-law Mary Boyd of Pauls Valley, OK, nephew Jesse Boyd and Sierra Littrell of Scottsdale, AZ, niece Kristina and Chad Weaver, great niece Hadleigh Weaver and great nephew Brecken Weaver of Stilwell, KS plus many cousins and friends.

Her family knew her as “Jeanne”, she attended Morton Elementary School, Lexington Jr. High and graduated in 1972 from Lexington High School.&nbsp; While growing up on the family farm outside of Lexington, she learned how to work alongside her two brothers, especially during the summer irrigating corn, showing sheep, and she participated in sewing competitions at the local Dawson County 4H shows.&nbsp; She had to learn at a young age to fend for herself being the only female among two brothers and four male cousins. She was also involved in Girl Scouts and actively involved in her church youth group and summer church camps. She was baptized at the Lexington Christian Church at a young age, from that time forward she was a true Christian serving the Lord. She went on and attended Platte Valley Bible College in Scottsbluff, NE and graduated in 1978 with a BS in Christian Education. During the summers during her college years, she was the camp cook at Colorado Christian Service Camp in Fairplay, CO. She continued her education at Fort Hays State in Hays and received her master’s degree in elementary education in 1979.

She started her teaching career teaching children at a day care at Gering Christian Church, Gering NE, then moving to Casper WY to Paradise Valley Christian Church and School from 1979 to 2022 when she finally retired. She was very instrumental in starting the Paradise Valley Christian School being the school administrator, teacher, counselor and whatever needed to be done. Her passion was teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone around her. She touched so many lives just like her parents did during there life on earth. The last several years she was really involved in the “TOPS” program in the Casper area where she had many friends.

Jeanne was a fighter, she had been fighting many health issue in her later years, but COVID was the final factor that took her to see the Lord.

There will be a “Celebration of Life” at the Paradise Valley Christian Church, Casper, WY at 10 am on Friday April 29, 2022, and a burial on Monday May 2, 2022 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington, NE at 11 am.

She was very instrumental in starting the Paradise Valley Christian School being the school administrator, teacher, counselor and whatever needed to be done. Her passion was teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone around her. She touched so many lives just like her parents did during there life on earth. The last several years she was really involved in the “TOPS” program in the Casper area where she had many friends.Jeanne was a fighter, she had been fighting many health issue in her later years, but COVID was the final factor that took her to see the Lord.There will be a “Celebration of Life” at the Paradise Valley Christian Church, Casper, WY at 10 am on Friday April 29, 2022, and a burial on Monday May 2, 2022 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Lexington, NE at 11 am.Jeanne would like all donations to be given to Paradise Valley Christian School, Casper WY.Thank You, The Boyd Family

Joel Lee Gaschler went to eternal rest, peacefully, with Ruby by his 
side on April 20, 2022. He was born August 17, 1957, in Scott City 
Kansas, the son of William and Dorothey (Snyder) Gaschler. 
Joel had lived in Colorado and Texas before moving back to Garden City 
in 2001. He was a Merchandiser for local grocery stores throughout the 
southwest Kansas Area. He enjoyed photography, cheering on the Dallas 
Cowboys, attending concerts, fishing, motorcycles, grilling, boating, 
trips to the casino, reading the bible, horse shoes, and carpentry. He 
will be remembered for his long-winded stories and dearly missed by his 
many friends and family. They find comfort in knowing he is in the arms
 of our Lord. 
 He is survived by his son- Justin Gaschler of Dallas TX; father-William
 Gaschler of Garden City; brother-Ken Gaschler of Garden City ;

Wayne Jay Blauvelt, 77, died April 20, 2022, at Western Plains Medical
 Complex, Dodge City.&nbsp; He was born on February 12, 1945, at Edison, 
Nebraska, the son of Francis and Eva (Loesch) Blauvelt.

Wayne grew up in Edison, Franklin and Cambridge, Nebraska and also in
 Hanover, Haddam, and Norton, Kansas. His father worked for Burlington 
Northern Railroad and is why he had a love for trains and had lived in 
so many different places. Wayne moved to Dodge City in 1983 where he 
lived and worked as a pallet builder with Arrowhead West.

He was a gentle giant with a smile that would light up a room. Wayne 
loved cigarettes, pancakes, diet soda, and hard candy. He always asked 
about the Arrowhead West staff families and wanted to make sure they 
were all okay.

Wayne loved his sister, Joyce and his niece, Susan and always looked 
forward to receiving packages from them at Christmas and his birthday. 
He will be missed by the staff and clients at Arrowhead West.

Wayne is survived by his niece, Susan Budler of Lincoln, Nebraska. He
 was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Joyce Budler; 
brother-in-law, George Budler; grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, 
and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, 
April 26, 2022, at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jerre Nolte presiding. Visitation

On Sunday, October 3, 1926, a baby girl, Eda Louise, was born to Freida,
 nee Schlicher, Motsenbocker and Claude Motsenbocker. They lived on the 
Hoccott Farm, one mile West and one mile North of Hoxie, Kansas. Our 
Lord had Louise join him in heaven on April 20, 2022.
 She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hoxie, Kansas when she
 was two weeks old. She confirmed her faith in the Triune God in 1940 in
 the same church.
 The family moved six times in Sheridan and Rooks Counties by the 
time she was six years old, settling 2 ½ miles East of Seguin. Louise 
attended school at Fairview District # 43, Immanuel Lutheran School in 
Sheridan County and St. John’s Lutheran School, Orange County, 
California.
 She graduated from Sheridan Community High School in 1944. Louise 
continued her education at Fort Hays State University and Colby 
Community College. She taught for three years in Sheridan County 
Schools.
 Louise married Karl W. Berndt on January 2, 1947, at Calvary 
Lutheran Church in Yuma, Arizona. They were married for 56 years. They 
became the parents of three children, Janelle, Kristine, and Welton. 
Louise often said that her children were her ‘desserts’ in life.
 Karl and Louise operated K &amp; L Farms in Hoxie for 50 years. They
 moved to Quinter, Kansas in 1997 and became members of Bethlehem 
Lutheran Church in Wakeeney, Kansas.
 The importance of the Triune God, family, country, and education 
were of utmost importance along with honesty and kindness. The value of 
time well-spent included her church in teaching Sunday School, Vacation 
Bible School, and Weekday classes. She also enjoyed sewing for her 
children, knitting, reading and politics.
 The major parts of her employment were developing, assisting, and 
implementing programs for individuals with health and special needs 
including The Northwest Kansas Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc; 
The Kansas Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc; The Arthritis 
Foundation, and The American Cancer Society.
 Throughout the years she volunteered her time and expertise with 
numerous organizations and programs including Girl Scouts; SCHS/Hoxie 
High School Alumni Association; Developmental Services of Northwest 
Kansas; Northwest Kansas Association for Retarded Citizen; Senior 
Companion Program at Gove County Medical Center, Long Term Care; and 
Foster Grandparent Program at Quinter Elementary School and Tender 
Hearts Child Care Center at Gove County Medical Center. 
 Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl; her 
son, Welton; her granddaughter, Karen Lynn Lewis; two brothers and three
 sisters. She is survived by her children, Janelle Mulvenon (Steve), 
Sparks, Nevada, and Kristine Lewis (Tim), Franklin, North Carolina. 
Grandchildren are Tracie Lewis, Overland Park, Kansas; Tad Lewis 
(Suzanne), Columbia, South Carolina; Andy Lewis, Wichita, Kansas; Ryan 
Mulvenon (Kristen), Falls Church, Virginia, and Morgan Mulvenon Tuttle

JoAn H. (Knutson) Olson, formerly of Bottineau, ND passed away April 
20, 2022, at Reeds Cove Health and Rehabilitation, Wichita, KS.

She was born September 23, 1942, in Richardton, ND to parents, Walter
 and Erna (Rasch) Knutson of Halliday, ND. When JoAn was 5 years old, 
her family moved to McKenzie, ND. She received her education at McKenzie
 Grade School, and then Bismarck High School.

On November 26, 1960, she married Paul W. Olson of Bottineau, ND, 
where they farmed and raised their five children. In 1983, they sold 
their farm and bought the KOA Kampground in WaKeeney, KS where they 
enjoyed hosting campers for 4 1⁄2 years. They sold the campground and 
moved back to Bottineau, then to Bismarck, ND. Upon retirement, they 
moved to Stockton, KS.

JoAn was involved in several community organizations and activities 
in the Lutheran and Methodist churches she attended. She worked in 
numerous retail businesses and several secretarial positions. JoAn loved
 her family, enjoyed music, sewing, meeting and getting to know people, 
and enjoying God’s great outdoors.

She is greatly missed by:&nbsp; her three sons, Robert (Tammy) Olson of 
Bottineau, ND, Michael (Brenda) Olson of McGregor, ND, and Timothy 
(Patricia) Olson of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Kathleen 
(Kevin) Clark of Hutchinson, KS, and Paulette (Mark) Wildeman of Ellis, 
KS; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Mattheyer, Kristin Friesen (Adam

 Kay Thompson, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on
 Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born August 26, 1941, in Beloit to 
Garold A. and Evlynn J. (Horesky) Sanborn.

Sharron
 and Myron Arthur Thompson were united in marriage on October 21, 1962, 
in Hill City. Sharron was a daycare operator and was a strong advocate 
for children with disabilities and she hosted a support group for many 
years. Sharron loved with all of her heart. She had a way of being 
empathetic to all of your worries and concerns. She could insert herself
 into your world and either offer advice or simply listen. All who came 
into contact with her could look into her eyes and see just how much she
 cared about you. Sharron would celebrate or cry with you, whichever was
 appropriate. All her life she had a heartfelt desire to “help” - no 
matter what it was

So,
 if you were a sister, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or a cousin, 
and last but not least even a friend - for all who came in contact with 
her or had the privilege of sharing time with her – we are all better 
for it&nbsp;

She was preceded in death by her husband, Art, on November 6, 2016; and sisters, Mary Lou Stegman and Barbara Sandell.

Thompson; sisters, Saundra Anderson and Nancy Moden; and grandchildren, 
Brik, Cooper, Cherish, and Caitlyn Thompson.

Funeral
 services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 25, at Wilson Family Funeral 
Home, Minneapolis. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation 
will be from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home where the
 family will receive friends from 4-6.

Sharron Kay Thompson

Dorothy “Dot” Mindrup (Androes) died peacefully on April 20, 2022 in Olathe, Kansas at the age of 91.
 Dorothy is survived by her children, Donald Michael (Mike) and wife,
 Arleen, David Thomas and wife, Mary, all of Olathe, Kansas; four 
grandchildren Amanda (Strauss), Jason, Joseph, and Rachel Mindrup; four 
great grandchildren Hailey, Adaline and James Strauss and Violet 
Mindrup, and brother Herman J Androes of Buda, Texas. She is preceded in
 death by her parents Herman Androes and Hermine Androes; husband Alfred
 John Mindrup; siblings Leroy Androes and Ginny Logan (Androes). 
 Dorothy was born on December 13, 1930 in Newton, Kansas to Herman 
and Hermine Androes. She graduated from Bethel College in 1952 with a 
Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities. She later earned her Master of 
Science in Counseling, in 1969, from Fort Hays State. After graduating 
in 1952, Dorothy worked as a high school English teacher and Librarian 
in Burns, Kansas for 2 years, then for Braniff Airways in Dallas and 
Austin, Texas for 2 years. Dorothy then worked at Lenora High School in 
Lenora, Kansas starting in 1956 until her retirement in 1992, where she 
was a Counselor, Librarian, and taught English and German. She married 
Alfred John Mindrup, a farmer on June 7, 1957. The couple welcomed two 
children into their home. Her children remember her as a loving mother 
who encouraged them to pursue their goals.
 Dorothy was accomplished at writing poetry and stories and often 
wrote poems for family and friends’ events and accomplishments. She was a
 dedicated wife and mother who loved reading, writing, and painting. She
 was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and often volunteered at 
quilting.
 Visitation will be held at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home in Norton, 
Kansas on Monday, April 25, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A second 
visitation will be held at 9:30 am before the service on Tuesday at the 
Parish Hall in New Almelo. Graveside services will be Tuesday, April 26,
 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in New Almelo, 
Kansas with a reception to follow in the St. Joseph Parish Hall. Father 
Matthew Cowan will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and
 celebrate Dorothy’s life.
