In the past two weeks the Senate adopted the following:

With veto-proof supermajorities, the Senate passed two Kansas election bills.

SB4 passed and will set the cut off for receipt of advance ballots to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, the same deadline all other votes must be cast by in order to be counted. This past year, a federal appeals court ruled that “grace periods” are unconstitutional.

SB6 will ban ranked choice voting in Kansas. Ranked choice voting has proven to be a disaster where it has been tried, resulting in delayed results and some voters’ legitimate ballots being trashed to get to a “forced majority.”

SB84 which would expand the criminal use of a financial card to include gift cards in an effort to stamp out fraud. The bill would provide that conduct involving a gift card would be classified and penalized in the same manner as conduct involving a financial card. It would be unlawful to use a gift card without the owner’s consent, possess or retain a gift card without authorization, or alter or tamper with a gift card.

SB7 will increase the bonding cap on general obligation bonds issued by townships for the reconstruction, repair, and equipment of township buildings in any township with a population of more that 5,000 and would increase the bonding cap for bond issues of a township fire department.

SB36 amends a law concerning conservation districts. The bill would change the date from September 1 to November 1 by which conservation districts are required to submit a certificate to the Division of Conservation of the amount of moneys required for conservation district activities each year, and would increase the cap on the amount of funding that would be allocated by the Division to the conservation districts from $25,000 to $50,000 per district, beginning in FY 2026, subject to appropriation. This bill would also increase the State’s current matching fund from $1 to $2 state funding to $1 county funding.

SB125 authorized various claims against the state. Many of the claims filed against the state come from the Department of Corrections when inmates file claims for personal items that have been stolen or misplaced.

This week the Senate will spend our time on the Senate floor discussing bills followed by “turn around.” Turn around is when the bills passed by the Senate go to the House for consideration and the House sends their passed bills to the Senate.

The Strategic Affiliation between Fort Hays State University, Fort Hays Tech | North Central, and Fort Hays Tech | Northwest officially launched in July of 2024, and the close collaboration that has been the hallmark of this initiative has yielded successes in five key areas:

&nbsp; &nbsp; 1.&nbsp; Charting new academic pathways. &nbsp; &nbsp; 2.&nbsp; Creating powerful professional relationships. &nbsp; &nbsp; 3.&nbsp; Reducing unnecessary administrative obstacles for students. &nbsp; &nbsp; 4. Sharing resources. &nbsp; &nbsp; 5.&nbsp; Engaging with regional business and industry

What follows is a summary of these early successes.

&nbsp; &nbsp; 1.&nbsp; Charting new academic pathways between the technical colleges to &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Fort Hays State University&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

Several Affiliation Implementation Teams (AITs) are mapping academic program pathways from the technical colleges to FHSU. The pathways will allow students to smoothly and efficiently progress in their educational journey, expand their education and training experiences, and, for many, earn an advanced degree. 

Students in two nine-month certificate programs at Fort Hays Tech | North Central, Welding and Construction Technology, can study for two additional semesters at FHSU and reverse transfer credits to earn from North Central, respectively, the AAS in Building/Construction Site Management and Welding Engineering Technology.

Students with an AAS in Respiratory Therapy from Fort Hays Tech | Northwest or an AAS in Medical Assistance can get two years of credit at FHSU toward a BS in Health Studies.

A program pathway will be finalized within weeks for students with an AAS in Precision Agriculture at Northwest and an AAS in Agricultural Equipment Technology at North Central to get a BS in Agricultural Business from FHSU.

&nbsp; &nbsp; 2. Creating powerful professional relationships among faculty and &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;staff at all three institutions &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;

There are 14 Affiliation Implementation Teams (AITs) comprised of faculty and staff from the three partner institutions. Shortly after their first meeting, the members of each AIT took a tour of all three affiliate campuses and exchanged detailed information about one another’s programs and resources. They meet biweekly, and the chairs and vice-chairs of each AIT meet semi-annually at day-long “Affiliation Summits” held in rotation at Beloit, Goodland, and Hays.

A consequence of this frequent contact is the growth of new professional relationships across institutions – relationships that many faculty and staff, especially those in small programs or isolated roles, describe as highly gratifying. 

These relationships, in turn, have given rise to collaborations that serve students. Students at the technical colleges have been invited to career fairs in applied technology, informatics, agriculture, nursing, and allied health at FHSU.

The student success teams at each of the affiliates are coordinating their orientation programs and collaboratively reviewing their new student seminars. The Institutional Research staff at the three partners are creating new protocols to track students as they move among the affiliated institutions.

Close collaborations between the higher education professionals at the three institutions are driving innovation. To cite just one example, the Agriculture AIT is planning a new series of summer courses based on the expertise of each affiliate. This year, the course will take place in Goodland and focus on precision agriculture, but the AIT aspires to take courses on different topics on the Beloit and Hays campuses in subsequent years.

&nbsp; &nbsp; 3.&nbsp; Reducing unnecessary administrative obstacles for students taking&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; courses at or transferring among multiple affiliate institutions

Improving the experience of students, as well as supporting regional communities and businesses, is the “north star” of the affiliation, and many early affiliation initiatives serve that end. 

Starting in January 2025, the technical colleges will be transitioning to the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) so that students who study at more than one affiliate institution will not have to master a new LMS. Students who have completed a course at one of the affiliates will no longer have to pay an application fee to study at any of the others.

To further encourage cost savings and to facilitate exchange among the affiliates, one of the AITs recently completed a guide called “Fast Track to FHSU” to show high school students in the tech colleges’ service areas how they can complete most of their Fort Hays State University general education requirements through concurrent enrollment courses at the technical colleges.

&nbsp; &nbsp; 4.&nbsp; Shared resources

The affiliation partners are committed to sharing knowledge, technology, resources, and spaces. The Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS) will be provided to the technical colleges through FHSU at no additional cost. FHSU is also investigating the possibility of offering the technical colleges access to online library databases.

The Student Success teams at the three partners coordinate their student activities and work on a “menu” of additional resources, such as access to remote mental health, for the technical colleges. Fort Hays Tech | North Central is running its carpentry program in FHSU space this year while a new building is under construction.

&nbsp; &nbsp; 5.&nbsp; Engagement with regional business and industry

Each academic Affiliation Implementation team (AIT) has representation from local businesses to provide an outside perspective on the team’s goals. The contributions of those outside representatives have been extremely valuable in guiding the teams’ work in the near and longer term.

A representative of the Kansas Hospital System serving on the AIT working on opportunities in nursing/allied health surveyed regional health care center professional needs that will inform the development of new programs by the affiliates. A roundtable of businesspeople catalyzed the AIT working on opportunities in business to develop additional training for students and employers offering internships.

The representatives on the AIT working on opportunities in agriculture have kept the team apprised of grants of potential interest to all three institutions.

A recent project of the affiliation, part of a FORGE grant awarded by the Kansas Department of Commerce, is creating a new website that will serve as a virtual “front door” to the affiliate partners for regional businesses and industry. In addition to illuminating the resources present at each institution – and whom to contact to access them – the site will also provide links to other organizations that can assist with economic and workforce development issues.

FHSU/Fort Hays Tech strategic affiliation initiative update

Less snow than predicted fell in Hays Monday night. 

The official measurement at 8 a.m. from the K-State Agricultural Research Center south of town was 2 inches. 

Flurries will continue throughout the day with accumulations of 1 to 2 more inches, according to the National Weather Service in Dodge City. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 a.m. Wednesday.

Moisture was at 0.10, most of which came from the snow melt from last week's snowfall. Month-to-date moisture measures 0.30. with snowfall so far in February at 7 inches.

Monday's high temperature was 28 degrees. The overnight low was a -5 degrees. The temperature continued to fall after 8 a.m.

The <a href="https://hayspost.com/posts/f0e300e1-180c-418a-b9c5-2962e65b5fbb">three-day weather forecast</a> calls continued cold with highs in the single digits and overnight lows in the negative double digits.

The Hays school district approved five capital projects Monday night related to the new Hays High School, which is set to open this summer.

Four projects will be paid for with capital outlay funds, and one will be paid for with bond funds.

The board approved a bid and down payment for new scoreboards at Hays High School for $777,680. 

These include scoreboards for the new Hays High School football stadium, both gyms and the softball field.

HHS broadcasting students will be able to participate in creating videos for the video boards.&nbsp;

The district will offer marketing packages that will help pay for the scoreboards, Superintendent Ron Wilson said.

Board member Derek Yarmer said he thought the money from this project should have come from bond funds.&nbsp;

Board member Allen Park and Yarmer voted against the project.

The board approved a $687,937 bid from Stallbaumer Construction to construct new tennis courts at Hays High. The project will include&nbsp;adding four new courts and reconditioning the existing four.

The tennis courts will allow Hays High to host tournaments.

Wilson said Hays Middle School PE also could use the courts for classes.

The new courts should be available for use by the fall season.

The board approved a digital marquee sign that will allow for recognition of students, staff and schools for Hays Middle School and Hays High&nbsp; School to be placed on 13th Street between Hays Middle and Hays High. The cost of the marquee is $66,364.

The bid did not include the stone monument and electrical extension to the sign. Wilson said he thought those costs would be $15,000 or less. He said the district plans to use excess material from construction at the Hays High School to build the monument.

Yarmer said he wanted the exact cost of the project. He voted against the purchase.

The board approved a bid from BSN Sports for weight room equipment for $146,710 for the new Hays High School. The funds are coming from bond proceeds.

The board approved a bid to purchase Resilite wrestling mats for $57,714 for the new Hays High School.

Yarmer said he thought the district overspent on the Hays High School project and is now paying for projects out of capital outlay. He said other projects, such as Hays Middle School, are suffering as a result.

"I feel the taxpayers have been generous. We are taking advantage of their generosity," Yarmer said.

Yarmer and Park voted against the purchase.

 </figure>By CRISTINA JANNEY Hays PostThe Hays school district approved five capital projects Monday night related to the new Hays High School, which is set to open this summer.Four projects will be paid for with capital outlay funds, and one will be paid for with bond funds.The board approved a bid and down payment for new scoreboards at Hays High School for $777,680. These include scoreboards for the new Hays High School football stadium, both gyms and the softball field.HHS broadcasting students will be able to participate in creating videos for the video boards.&nbsp;The district will offer marketing packages that will help pay for the scoreboards, Superintendent Ron Wilson said.<figure>

 </figure><h2>Marquee</h2>The board approved a digital marquee sign that will allow for recognition of students, staff and schools for Hays Middle School and Hays High&nbsp; School to be placed on 13th Street between Hays Middle and Hays High. The cost of the marquee is $66,364.The bid did not include the stone monument and electrical extension to the sign. Wilson said he thought those costs would be $15,000 or less. He said the district plans to use excess material from construction at the Hays High School to build the monument.Yarmer said he wanted the exact cost of the project. He voted against the purchase.<h2>Weight room equipment</h2>The board approved a bid from BSN Sports for weight room equipment for $146,710 for the new Hays High School. The funds are coming from bond proceeds.<h2>Wrestling mats</h2>The board approved a bid to purchase Resilite wrestling mats for $57,714 for the new Hays High School.Yarmer said he thought the district overspent on the Hays High School project and is now paying for projects out of capital outlay. He said other projects, such as Hays Middle School, are suffering as a result."I feel the taxpayers have been generous. We are taking advantage of their generosity," Yarmer said.Yarmer and Park voted against the purchase.

TOPEKA—Kayla Acosta, Ellis County District Court clerk, was elected president of the Kansas Association of District Court Clerks and Administrators (KADCCA) at the organization’s annual meeting.&nbsp;

Acosta was appointed clerk in 2021 and has been with the judicial branch since 2016. She previously served as a deputy clerk in the juvenile, child in need of care, and care and treatment divisions and later in the criminal division.&nbsp;

Ellis County is in the 23rd Judicial District.&nbsp;

“As our association’s leader, I am committed to fostering a collaborative environment where all members feel empowered to share their unique perspectives,” Acosta said. “I’m excited for the year ahead and hope to look back one day at the small part I played in strengthening the foundation of our judicial system for future generations.”&nbsp;

Acosta has been a member of the Kansas Association of District Court Clerks and Administrators since 2021 and previously served as its president-elect and secretary.&nbsp;Acosta succeeds past president Ruth Wheeler, court administrator for the 5th Judicial District.&nbsp;

If you are walking, or doing some other type of activity, and adding strengthening/ stretching exercises at least twice a week, you probably have noticed that many of your daily activities are easier, that you have more stamina and endurance, and you feel stronger.

So, what happens if you hit the “pause” button on your physical activity routine? It depends. 

Most participants likely fall into the category of a recreational exerciser and it would take 2 to 4 weeks of inactivity before you see real change in your fitness level. If you stop exercising, the first change you will notice is a decline in your aerobic fitness. You’ll notice that you get out of breath more quickly when climbing stairs or walking longer distances. While cardio conditioning falls faster than strength, it is easier to regain.

It is also important to remember that taking time off from exercise occasionally can be a good thing, and a good exercise routine includes rest days. The effect of inactivity on your muscle strength and endurance will be slight during the first few weeks. After that, your muscles will not feel as firm and you will notice a decline in muscle strength.

The effect inactivity has on your waistline is based on input and output. When you exercise, you burn more calories to avoid weight gain. 

Other factors play a role in how quickly you lose health benefits after you stop exercising. When comparing adults who were either 20 to 30 years old or 65 to 75 years old, the older adults lost fitness gains almost twice as fast as the younger set. 

The good news is that if you have fallen out of your activity routine, you can regain fitness and health benefits simply by being active again.

The Walk Kansas program is designed to be a catalyst for change — to nudge you to be more active for at least 8 weeks, whether you are active now or not. Hopefully, you have experienced how much better you feel when you are more active every day.

This feeling of improved health is called “intrinsic” motivation. Because you feel better, you are motivated to continue a more active lifestyle. Your motivation to be active is internal (how you feel) rather than external (motivated by prizes or things). Internal motivation is much more powerful, and the lifestyle changes you make, as a result, will last longer.

However, sometimes life gets in the way! So have a Plan B! 

There will always be days when your plans for getting physical activity will be challenged. Some of these will be unexpected and others you might be able to anticipate, such as schedule changes, weather, lack of time, etc.

For obstacles you can anticipate, have a Plan B ready before you encounter them. This will increase the likelihood that you will overcome these barriers successfully. If lack of time is a problem, take several 5 to 10 minutes walks throughout the day, wake up early to exercise, or combine physical activity with household tasks.&nbsp;If weather spoils your plan, identify indoor spaces where you can be active or do a no-equipment workout at home.

The same approach can be used to prevent a relapse where you return to old inactive habits. 

The first step is planning for it, because at some point you will experience a relapse. If you have a bad day or bad week, remember that lapses are normal, and having a short period of missed activity does not erase all your progress. Focus on the big picture and think about all of the progress you have already made, then get back on track with the activities you enjoy.

Again, be ready with your Plan B by answering these questions: What two steps can I take to get back on track immediately after a lapse? What positive thoughts will I use to help me get back on track? How will I reward myself once I get back on track?

We hope you will make Walk Kansas 2025 part of your A plan!

Three-day weather outlook

On Sunday, February 2, 4-H members across Barton County gathered to showcase their communication skills at 4-H Club Day.

Communication skills are necessary for everyone in every job. Our littlest 4-H members start out by presenting “Show and Share” with the goal of being able to look the judge in the eye and talk.

As they get a little older, they have the opportunity to develop and present demonstrations which show how to do something or illustrated talks which tells how something is done. These involve prepare materials, an outline, and visual aids. As timed events, it is also important to learn to manage your time well.

Older 4-H members expand their presentation skills by adding public speaking and extemporaneous speaking to the demonstrations and illustrated talk options. 

Public speaking is excellent practice for a lifetime of presentations whether that is used at work, on a board, or with a civic organization. 

Extemporaneous speaking is probably one of the toughest categories. Participants have ten minutes to draw from a selection of topics, prepare their thoughts, and record their main points on a single notecard. It challenges youth to quickly organize their thoughts and confidently present their topic. 

Another event for our older 4-H members is application, resume, and interview. In this very real-world practice, participants turn in an application for one of four age-appropriate jobs with their resume and cover letter. The judge has the opportunity to review these documents prior to Club Day and then interviews the candidate as part of the event. The youth receive feedback on all aspects of their application and interview.

In addition to speaking opportunities, many clubs will work together to present a club skit. Teamwork, organization, and planning are all important skills as the club coordinates to showcase their members in a fun and inventive way.

One of the most challenging club events is the model meeting. 4-H clubs learn and practice parliamentary procedure at each meeting and the model meeting event gives them a place to show what they know. They must provide an agenda to the judge prior to the meeting and secretary minutes immediately following.&nbsp;There are requirements as to the number of motions that must be included. This is a great life skill for anyone who will sit on a board or committee.

Also included in 4-H Club Day is the opportunity for 4-H members to present music, dance, and talent numbers.

In all cases, these are performed before a judge who provides feedback in addition to a ribbon placing. This consultative judging is a regular part of 4-H learning.

Cottonwood-Barton 4-H participates in a regional contest so qualifiers from most categories are eligible to present at the next level with the best of seven other counties. Regional Club Day will occur on March 14 in Great Bend.

Those who receive top placings at County 4-H Club Day also have the opportunity to present their project talk, demonstration or illustrated talk, or reading at the Kansas State Fair. For 2025, public speaking has been added with a set topic for all participants.

 If you ever walk through the 4-H Centennial Hall building at State Fair, you may have seen youth from across the state presenting on one of two stages.

Practicing the life skills of communication, organization, and planning are really the WHY behind 4-H Club Day. Poise, confidence, and self-assurance grow every time a presentation is given. Be on the lookout for these young leaders and their growing communication skills!

 </figure>By MICHELLE BERAN Cottonwood Extension DistrictOn Sunday, February 2, 4-H members across Barton County gathered to showcase their communication skills at 4-H Club Day.Communication skills are necessary for everyone in every job. Our littlest 4-H members start out by presenting “Show and Share” with the goal of being able to look the judge in the eye and talk.As they get a little older, they have the opportunity to develop and present demonstrations which show how to do something or illustrated talks which tells how something is done. These involve prepare materials, an outline, and visual aids. As timed events, it is also important to learn to manage your time well.Older 4-H members expand their presentation skills by adding public speaking and extemporaneous speaking to the demonstrations and illustrated talk options. Public speaking is excellent practice for a lifetime of presentations whether that is used at work, on a board, or with a civic organization. Extemporaneous speaking is probably one of the toughest categories. Participants have ten minutes to draw from a selection of topics, prepare their thoughts, and record their main points on a single notecard. It challenges youth to quickly organize their thoughts and confidently present their topic. Another event for our older 4-H members is application, resume, and interview. In this very real-world practice, participants turn in an application for one of four age-appropriate jobs with their resume and cover letter. The judge has the opportunity to review these documents prior to Club Day and then interviews the candidate as part of the event. The youth receive feedback on all aspects of their application and interview.In addition to speaking opportunities, many clubs will work together to present a club skit. Teamwork, organization, and planning are all important skills as the club coordinates to showcase their members in a fun and inventive way.One of the most challenging club events is the model meeting. 4-H clubs learn and practice parliamentary procedure at each meeting and the model meeting event gives them a place to show what they know. They must provide an agenda to the judge prior to the meeting and secretary minutes immediately following.&nbsp;There are requirements as to the number of motions that must be included. This is a great life skill for anyone who will sit on a board or committee.Also included in 4-H Club Day is the opportunity for 4-H members to present music, dance, and talent numbers.In all cases, these are performed before a judge who provides feedback in addition to a ribbon placing. This consultative judging is a regular part of 4-H learning.Cottonwood-Barton 4-H participates in a regional contest so qualifiers from most categories are eligible to present at the next level with the best of seven other counties. Regional Club Day will occur on March 14 in Great Bend.Those who receive top placings at County 4-H Club Day also have the opportunity to present their project talk, demonstration or illustrated talk, or reading at the Kansas State Fair. For 2025, public speaking has been added with a set topic for all participants. If you ever walk through the 4-H Centennial Hall building at State Fair, you may have seen youth from across the state presenting on one of two stages.Practicing the life skills of communication, organization, and planning are really the WHY behind 4-H Club Day. Poise, confidence, and self-assurance grow every time a presentation is given. The city of Hays has declared a Phase 1 Winter Storm Traffic Emergency, effective immediately, as a winter storm is expected to significantly impact the region.

City crews are actively working to clear Emergency Snow Routes, and residents are urged to avoid travel unless necessary.

Under the declared emergency, parking on designated Emergency Snow Routes is prohibited.

Vehicles left on these routes may be subject to towing at the owner's expense to allow for efficient snow removal operations.

The city’s priority remains maintaining open and passable primary roads for emergency responders and essential travel.

The winter storm is expected to bring heavy snowfall, creating hazardous driving conditions.

Residents are advised to use caution, monitor weather updates, and allow additional travel time if driving is unavoidable.

Due to staffing and equipment limitations, residential streets are generally not plowed, per city policy. However, exceptions will be considered as needed and appropriate.

City officials will continue to provide updates on snow removal efforts through official social media channels and local news outlets.

Snow is expected in Hays mainly after 11 p.m., but some patchy blowing snow after 9 p.m. The low in Hays is forecast at -4. The wind chill values are forecast to reach as low as -20. Snow accumulation is forecast to be 3 to 5 inches, according to the National Weather Service.

The snow will continue in Hays until about 3 p.m. Tuesday. The high is forecast to be 3 with wind chills as low as -24 Tuesday. Further snow accumulation is forecast to be 1 to 3 inches on Tuesday.

The forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of snow Tuesday night, with a low around -7. Wind chill values will be as low as -23.

The extreme cold warning will continue through noon Thursday.&nbsp;

The high for Wednesday is forecast to be 6, with an overnight low of -13. The high for Thursday is forecast to be 9, with an overnight low of -6.&nbsp;

Friday's high is forecast to be 23, with above-freezing temps to return by the weekend.

The city of Hays is making preparations ahead of a significant winter storm expected to impact the area beginning Monday night and continuing through Tuesday.

Residents are urged to take necessary precautions as snow, strong winds, and dangerously cold temperatures are forecast to create hazardous conditions.

According to the&nbsp;National Weather Service in Dodge City, snow is projected to move into the region late Monday, with the heaviest accumulation likely along the I-70 corridor through early Tuesday morning. 

The storm will also bring an arctic air mass, resulting in dangerously low wind chills through early Thursday.

Strong winds may contribute to blowing snow and reduced visibility, making travel difficult.

City crews are actively preparing for the storm and will work to keep major roadways as clear as possible.

If snowfall reaches a level requiring extensive removal, the city manager may declare a Winter Storm Traffic Emergency. In such a case:

City of Hays preparing for incoming winter storm

The Ellis County Public Works director will discuss plans for road repairs and improvements on 48th Street, Vineyard Road and Commerce Parkway during the Ellis County Commission meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Public Works Director Brendan Mackay will present the 48th Street repairs, which involve milling the existing asphalt and applying hot mix asphalt layers. The Vineyard Road and Commerce Parkway improvements focus on upgrading the surface from gravel and sand to asphalt.

The recently installed westbound traffic pole includes extra wiring to potentially add left-turn signals in the future.The request for a left-turn signal is driven by the expected increase in northbound traffic on Canterbury Drive once the new high school is completed.Public Works Director Brendan Mackay will evaluate whether to proceed with the installation or keep the existing setup.<h2>Purplewave auction</h2>County Administrator Darin Myers will request approval from the county commissioners to sell a list of items through Purplewave, an online auction platform.The items consist of fleet management program vehicles and miscellaneous equipment that various departments no longer use.Proceeds will support the fleet management program and be allocated to each department's non-budgeted revenue fund.<h2>Ellis County Fire Department truck modifications</h2>Myers will also request approval to upgrade two fire brush trucks by transferring their utility bodies onto new Ford F-550 chassis.One truck will be assigned to Victoria and the other to Ellis. Additional upgrades include a new LED emergency lighting system, a replacement front bumper, and the installation of a new radio and siren system.<h2>Noxious weed report</h2>Weed Control Supervisor Gary Haas will seek approval for the annual report, which provides an overview of the county's weed control efforts, including financial data, weed surveys and herbicide applications.The commissioners must also approve the 2025 management plan, which outlines the county's strategy for controlling noxious weeds for the following year.<h2>Organization updates</h2>Amanda Rupp of the Ellis County Historical Society and Craig Poe, executive director of High Plains Mental Health, will also update the county commission on their respective organizations.You can view the full agenda <a href="https://www.ellisco.net/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_02182025-654">here</a>.
