Per Ellis County Resolution 2022-04, the Ellis County Fire Department is announcing the relaxation&nbsp;of the burn ban in all the unincorporated areas of Ellis County, effective immediately.

Due to the rainfall in portions of Ellis County, and for some continued forecasted moisture, the ban is&nbsp;being lifted due to the changing conditions.

If the precipitation forecast changes, and mixed with the summer temperatures, the burn ban may&nbsp;be implemented again at a later date.

As a reminder, before conducting any prescribed or controlled burn, citizens must call the Ellis&nbsp;County Communications Department at 785-625-1011 to gain authorization to complete the burn.
