HAYS — The Hays Larks' home opener, originally scheduled for Monday, June 8, has been canceled, and the team will now open the home portion of its schedule on Friday, June 12.
According to the Larks, they were scheduled to host the Topeka Capitals in a multigame series beginning Monday, but the Capitals disbanded, leaving the Larks with open dates.
The Larks will now open their home schedule with games against the Colorado Lumberjax on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
On Friday, the Larks will celebrate the organization's 80th anniversary.
Saturday's game will feature Military Appreciation Night.
The Larks also announced the addition of a nonleague game against the BTL Hornets on June 24.
