Fade Factory Barber and Beauty Lounge will hold a 5K fundraiser to benefit its toy drive for the Camber Children’s Mental Health Clinic in Hays.
The “Fade Factory Hustle & Flow” walk/run will take place on Saturday, Sept. 26, beginning at Fade Factory’s location, 129 E. Eighth St. Registration will start at 7:30 a.m. The race will begin at 8 a.m.
Registration is $20 until Wednesday, Sept. 23. After that, the registration fee will go up to $22, according to a Hays Recreation Commission news release. Registration is available at https://haysrecweb.org/webtrac/web/iteminfo.html?Module=AR&FMID=182773780.
The race is being held in conjunction with Fade Factory’s Customer Appreciation Day, the news release said. Following the race, participants are invited to enjoy live music and a food truck on site.
Leo Vasquez with Fade Factory said in an interview that there will also be a raffle for various prizes, including a year’s worth of free haircuts.
Orders for race T-shirts will be taken until 10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at http://fade-factory-5k.cheddarup.com. The T-shirts cost $12.
Camber Children’s Mental Health Clinic provides residential mental health treatment for children, teens, and youth across the Midwest. It has three Kansas locations, one of which is in Hays at 3000 New Way Blvd.
