CASA of the High Plains
CASA of the High Plains invites community members to attend an upcoming informational session at the Hays Public Library on April 7, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This event is designed to increase awareness of CASA’s mission, highlight opportunities for community involvement, and inspire individuals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of the High Plains is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Through trained volunteer advocates, CASA ensures that every child’s voice is heard and that they have the opportunity to grow up in a safe, stable, and permanent home.
During the session, attendees will learn more about
• The role and impact of CASA volunteer advocates
• Opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors and various committees
• Upcoming events and initiatives within the organization
• Plans to establish a Junior Board aimed at fostering youth leadership and civic engagement
• Ways to support CASA through financial contributions and community partnerships
“Strong communities come together to support their most vulnerable members,” said Jan Johnson, executive eirector, CASA of the High Plains. “This session is an opportunity for individuals to learn how they can be part of something truly meaningful—whether by volunteering, serving in leadership, or investing in our mission.”
CASA of the High Plains is actively seeking passionate individuals who are committed to improving outcomes for children and families. Whether you are interested in direct advocacy, leadership roles, or supporting the organization financially, there are many ways to get involved.
This event is free and open to the public.
No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to learn and a desire to make a difference. Come have popcorn and cookies sponsored by PoPT! Gourmet Popcorn and a generous grant from Midwest Energy.
