The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin work on a bridge replacement project on K-18 in Russell County the week of Nov. 16.

The bridge is located just east of the east U.S. 281 junction near Luray. Work this winter will consist of constructing a shoofly detour in preparation for the bridge closure and replacement that will begin in March 2021. The project is expected to be fully completed in December 2021, weather permitting.

L&amp;M Contractors of Great Bend is the primary contractor for the $1.4 million project.&nbsp;
