The Bob and Pat Schmidt Community Center is set to open this month.
Grow Hays received its occupancy permit last week.
Bright Minds will be opening its child care facility on the north side of the building, and the senior center will be moving into south side of the building before the end of the month.
The child care wing of the community center has a storm shelter that will accommodate 300 people. The windows have reinforced steel doors. Photo by Cristina Janney/Hays Post
The center area of the building is a community room that will be available to rent through Grow Hays. Call 785-628-3102 for more information.
Grow Hays will host an official ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug 29.
