Hays Catholic Schools will host its 52nd annual Auction for Christian Education (ACE) on April 24 and 25 at the Al Billinger Fieldhouse at Thomas More Prep-Marian.
A longstanding tradition in the community, the ACE Auction serves as the premier fundraiser for Hays Catholic Schools.
Last year’s event raised $878,526.57, contributing to a remarkable total of more than $14.5 million raised over the past 51 years in support of Catholic education in Hays.
This year’s theme, “God Shed His GrACE on Thee,” reflects both the school’s faith-centered mission and the upcoming 250th anniversary of American independence.
Events begin Friday, April 24, with the ACE Chamber Chat and the launch of online bidding at 9:00 a.m., followed by a preview party from 7:00–9:00 p.m. The main auction will take place Saturday, April 25, from 5:00–11:00 p.m. Tickets are required, and limited seating remains available.
A highlight of this year’s auction is Item #160, a major renovation of the Al Billinger Fieldhouse.
Supported by at least $300,000 in matching funds from the Leo J. & Albina Dreiling Trust, the project will include installation of a modern HVAC system—bringing air conditioning to the gym for the first time—and replacement of original windows.
