The first Wheat Rx field day will be offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at the Agricultural Research Center in Hays, 1232 240th Ave.
This is a collaboration between K-State Research & Extension and the Kansas Wheat Commission.
Growers and anyone interested will have the opportunity to see hands-on the most updated research on growing high-yield, high-quality, economically feasible wheat.
Crop walks include breeding nurseries, long-term fertility and tillage experiments, improved agronomy management and disease control trials, finishing up with an inside talk about recent economics of wheat production.
Attendance is free but registration is requested at https://kswheat.com/events/wheat-rx-hays for headcount a light breakfast and a lunch meal will be provided.
