The Kansas winter sports season will begin on schedule after a vote of the board of directors of the Kansas High School Activities Association.
KSHSAA rules will allow play to begin on Dec. 1, with a moratorium on activities from Dec. 23 to Jan. 7. Practices can resume Jan. 4, and games will be allowed to resume Jan. 8.
No fans will be allowed to attend high school or middle school games Dec. 1 to Jan. 28, with local jurisdictions making the determination of resuming attendance Jan. 29. The issue of spectators could be taken up by the KSHSAA board at a later date.
