The HaysMed Center for Health Improvement will host the annual Run for Life 5K on Saturday, April 18, an event dedicated to supporting and raising awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation. This run brings together community members of all ages to promote wellness while honoring the lifesaving impact of donation.
The race will be held on the HaysMed Fitness Trail, beginning at the shelter house located on the east side of the hospital campus at 2500 Canterbury Drive. Check-in opens at 8:30 a.m., with the race officially starting at 9:00 a.m.
Participants are required to register online, and early registration is encouraged. The deadline to receive a discounted rate and an event t-shirt is April 10.
Entry Fees:
· Ages 10 and older: $30
· Ages 10 and under: $15
· Race-day registration: $40 (cash or check only; t-shirt not included)
All proceeds benefit Midwest Transplant Network and Saving Sight, two nonprofit organizations committed to advancing organ, eye, and tissue donation and supporting individuals and families whose lives are touched by the gift of life.
The Run for Life 5K continues to serve as both a community wellness event and an educational opportunity. Organ, eye, and tissue donation provide hope and healing to thousands of individuals each year. By participating, community members help raise visibility for donation awareness efforts and honor those who have given or received the gift of life.
