UPDATE: The Ellis County Landfill has reopened the construction & demolition pit, the dirt pile, and the tree pile.

The Ellis County Environmental Services office is announcing that the Construction & Demolition pit, dirt pile, and Tree pile at the landfill will be closed on Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, due to muddy conditions.
These items cannot be placed in municipal waste. If conditions improve and we are able to reopen, an announcement will be made.
Municipal Waste will remain open, the gates will be closed at 4:45 p.m., and no dumping will be allowed after that time.
