HAYS – The TMP-Marian Monarchs open their third year under head coach Jay Harris on Monday after putting together one of the most successful seasons in in the last two decades.

Last year, the Monarchs clinched the program's first district title, made the playoffs and hosted a home playoff game for the first time since the 2002 season.

TMP finished 7-2 with a first-round loss to Beloit. It was just the second time since 1988 TMP had won seven games.

Coach Harris said they expect to have 26 players out this fall.

TMP's first practice is set for Monday afternoon.

The Monarchs open the season Sept. 3 at Oakley.
