Healing Hearts Grief Support Group
Dr. Seth Kastle, a military veteran who teaches at Fort Hays State University, will speak to the Healing Hearts Grief Support Group on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Kastle will talk about the loss of military friends to suicide.
The talk will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Hays Senior Center, inside the Schmidt Community Center, 2510 Canterbury Drive. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Kastle teaches in the Leadership Studies Department at FHSU and works with active military members who are FHSU students. He and his wife, Julie, who is also a military veteran, have authored nationally-recognized books about how military PTSD impacts the military member and children in the family.
The group’s facilitator, Dr. Kate McGonigal, said there will be time for questions after Kastle’s presentation. McGonigal is an associate professor of Sociology at FHSU.
The Healing Hearts group is for any adult who has suffered the loss of a loved one. The group meets monthly.
