Hays received 1.15 inches of rain on Monday, according to the K-State Ag Research Center.

That brings November's rainfall total to 2.84 inches for the month compared to an average of .84 inches for November.

Year to date, Hays has received 22.99 inches of precipitation, which is just more than the average by the end of November of 22.22 inches.

As of Thursday's release of the most recent drought map, most of Ellis County was still listed as being in moderate drought.

Much of western Kansas has seen the easing of drought conditions in recent weeks.

The forecast for Hays today is mostly sunny, with a high of 48. No rain is expected for the rest of the week. Highs are expected to increase into the mid-50s by the end of the week.
