The Taste of Hays set to return in Jan.

Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Ellis County recently announced they are excited to bring The Taste of Hays back to the community.

"Join us on Sunday, Jan. 16, starting at 4:00 p.m. at the Fort Hays State University Memorial Union Ballroom," the announcement said.  "Enjoy samplings of culinary creations from local restaurants and vendors at Taste of Hays."

Proceeds from the event support Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters in Ellis County. 

A total of 250 tickets are available for the event.

"Tickets are $100 each, which admits 2 people," the announcement said. "Your ticket also enters you into multiple prize drawings that will be given away throughout the event."

Tickets can be purchased at thier website, 4kidsake.org/tasteofhays, or at their offices at 1200 Main St, Suite 102.

Sponsoring restaurants and vendors include, Big Smoke BBQ, Bricks Rockin' BBQ, Cathy's Breads, Fuzzy's Taco Shop, G Herdt’s Donuts, Gigi's Cafe, Hickok's Steakhouse, JD's Country Style Chicken, Macarons & More by Mitch, Old Chicago, Parties by Design, Professor's, Rose Garden Banquet Hall, Taco Shop, The Garden Grille & Bar - The Hilton Garden Inn, The Golden Q, The Local Food Truck, The Press and Thirsty's Brew Pub & Grill.

"Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters’ mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth," the organization said. "KSBBBS in Ellis County currently serves 150 Big and Little matches.  Your support of this event, positively impacts these important match relationships and helps screen new volunteers for the children waiting for their Big Brother or Big Sister."
