The Hays High girls and boys both advanced to the championship semifinals of their own Gerald Mitchell Hays City Shootout. The girls will face Hugoton. The Eagles beat Salina Central in the opening round. The boys take on Salina Central following the Mustangs season opening win against Hugoton.
