Grow Hays, Inc., a nonprofit organization aimed at advancing the economic health and vitality of Ellis County, announces the release of its new podcast series “Growth Matters." The weekly series will feature conversations that tackle the topics, trends and decisions driving economic development in Ellis County.
Grow Hays Chairperson Kris Munsch will host the podcasts and will be joined by Doug Williams, executive director of Grow Hays.
“Our goal is simple—to educate, inform, and have an honest conversation about what growth really means for our community, why it matters, and what's at stake if we get it wrong," Williams said. "Whether you're a lifelong resident, a business owner or just someone who cares about the future of this community, you should be able to get something from this podcast,” Munsch said.
The podcast episodes are scheduled to be released each Monday and will cover a wide range of topics, including why Ellis County needs to grow to stay the same, property taxes, economic incentives, affordable housing, retail development and many more.
Williams said, “There is a lot of misinformation and misunderstanding regarding these topics in our community, and we believe this is an opportunity to provide fact-based perspectives and to stimulate positive dialogue about what is happening in the community.”
New episodes will air each Monday and will be available on Podbean and the Hays Post and linked on Grow Hays’ Facebook and website.
