The dirt pile will remain closed.

The Ellis County Environmental Services office is announcing that the Construction & Demolition pit and tree pile at the Ellis County Landfill are closed Thursday, April 24, 2025, due to muddy conditions.
These materials will not be allowed in the transfer station. An announcement will be made should conditions improve that allow for reopening.
Municipal Waste will remain open. The gates will be closed at 4:45 p.m. and no dumping will be allowed after that time.
