Per Ellis County resolution, the Ellis County Fire Department is announcing the relaxation of the burn ban in all the unincorporated areas of Ellis County, effective immediately.

Due to the rainfall in portions of Ellis County and the favorable forecast for moisture throughout the week, the ban is being lifted due to the changing conditions.

If the drought persists alongside the summer temperatures, a burn ban might be implemented again at a later date.
