The City of Hays Department of Water Resources will be working Thursday, Oct. 1, to replace a broken 12-inch water main valve at the north side of the intersection of 13th Street and Oak Street.

Oak Street between 13th and 14th Streets is expected to be closed while this work is completed. Caution signs will be placed to notify drivers and guide traffic around the work area.

Water service for customers near 13th and Oak may be temporarily affected during the repair.

The Department of Water Resources will work safely and as quickly as possible to complete the repair and restore normal operations. Please use caution when traveling in the area.
