HAYS - The Hays High Indians hosted Dodge City in the first bowling season in school history.
Dodge City won on both the girls and boys competition. The Red Demons rolled a 2883 to the Indians' 2330 on the boys side. Dodge City won 2645 to 1528 during the girls competition.
The Red Demons won the Baker series, with a 687 to the Indians 572. The Dodge City girls took the girls side as well 677 to 443.
Aleena Aticheson rolled a 365 series to lead the Indians' girls team in sixth. Dodge City took the top five individual finishes. Chailyn Scott won with a 505.
Trenton Holdeman led the Indians during the individual round with a 520 series, placing 5th. The Red Demons took the top four spots led by Josiah Ridgway at 597.
Parker Linenberger led the junior varsity boys with a first place 362 series. Gabe DeLeon was second, Lucas Miller third and Ashton Putz fifth. The Indians JV also took the Baker series 429 to 376. They took the win over Dodge City 1763 to 1551.
The team will head to Garden City on Tuesday, January 10th.
