As we enter the time of year when respiratory viruses are more prevalent, we’d like to share a few observations. We represent nearly half a millennium of clinical experience taking care of patients here in Hays and in the region.

We can remember when the seasonal flu shot was less available than it is today. Twenty-five years ago, there was an observable decrease in hospitalizations and the need for respiratory tests and treatments when free community flu shots became available.

We have built our careers in this community, raised our families here, and collectively cared for thousands of patients across generations. We care deeply for our community.

We encourage anyone with questions about vaccinations for themselves or for their children to reach out to their trusted health care providers with those questions. Their training and experience is a valuable resource. Even more than that, though, they know you, they know your family, and they care about our community.
